I have but one thing to say to the reply from Erwin.
Strife has entered here in a big way. Yes, it may have been there before, but not like this. A bomb was dropped, and confusion came in. Erwin should know confusion and strife is not of God.
If this place will continue to be built upon Christian principles, then why hide the light of Christ from the world in the name? Erwin, do you not think that God could and would have blessed you had you just continued on? 45 to 54 % poll difference is a pretty big difference. I think you made a big mistake, but if God is in this, as you say He is, then He will make something good come from it, for we know that in all things everything works together for the good to those that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. May God's grace be with you, Erwin. You may stand before us now, and answer to us, but you know in your heart you will answer and do answer to Him...As long as your heart and conscience are clear, I guess that's all that matters.
I believe the majority of Christians will not leave, but we do feel you betrayed the trust we put in you. And, we all know God says to not put our trust in no man. We did, unfortunately, and this is what happened.

I have read that conservative posting area quite closely and frankly it seems it was his idea. That fact doesn't even seem to matter unless he and others regret making the original suggestion.

He posted the poll that doesn't mean that there weren't many involved in PM's etc.

As for regretting I don't know about Steve but I think Erwin changing the name was not only the best thing he could have done (short of getting rid of the ridiculous 777 debacle) it also was the most honest thing he could have done.

Btw, folks, I'm afraid of a self-fulfilling prophecy: If all the Christians on this site leave for fear that it won't be Christian anymore -- well, then it won't be. But if we stick around and be a part of things, we can influence the spirit of this place, yeah?

Bill is right - if they all stay and continue, they show SUPPORT of this new vision and it stays.
They don't like the change, and know that it's open season on truth around here in ALL sections (except the little sects some groups create in a basement someplace and slap rules over) -

They'de rather find a forum that is properly sticking to the Christian doctrine and is more conducive to proper witness of Christ.

I see your point Macrina, but I see there's too - if everyone bailed ship, a larger impact would be made. Otherwise, it promotes no reason TO change!
Why change when everyone gripes for 3 days then continues on as usual?

Considering the position you once held I am sure you do. Shame on Erwin for not refunding site supporter money, while it may not be actionable according to you was it ethical or even Christyian to betray the site supporters and change the whole site and still use their momney to run it?
