Excuse me Erwin, But YOU have robbed us of CHRISTIAN forums! I have never agreed to be a member of some 'social networking thing'!

3 years ago I became a member of Christian forums. And now it is just like thousands others. I came here to share and seek advice from Christians, and THAT was the difference! If I wanted to be a member of whatever other forums I would do so.

I freel tricked! I do not want to be a member of this whatever- cos I am a member of other forums, as well... comuters, dancing, just hanging out. and this one was my CHRISTIAN forum! I loved it and I am TRUELY HONESTLY shocked to see that Christianity was taken out of it!

May I add an amen? I will NOT be renewing here, as this is no longer a CHRISTIAN site. Give us back our name!!!

Well...it's errr...different
too different for me..
Christ is no longer the central focus here.
someone said earlier, you can change the name, etc, and it will be the same inside.
Wrong!
It has changed.
Christ has been taken out, and that is sad.
If our faith forums had been left at the TOP, I would not feel so strongly, but to see a post that said "God is NOT great " by Wiccan Child glaring at me just now, that told me all I need to know..
I will not be supporting this site again..
:(

I made it clear in my previous post that I think the name should not have been changed. But ... is it just me, or are some people completely over-reacting?

I cannot even begin to fathom these charges of apostasy.

WHAT HAS REALLY CHANGED?????????

I am ambivalent about the name change BUT CF like any other forum is a function of its membership not the bloody name at the top.

I'm sure some people will leave as well as some Mods (are Mods people?? - [/joke]) but when all is sais and done that means they considered the name more important than the people.

When I saw the 12 hour message last night I actually had a strong inkling the name would change.

His name as been removed and His church put at the bottom. Is this not a falling away?

Discuss what ?

You just continue along tearing down a wonderful concept . What happened to option three ?

What happened to the possibility of two sites? One still called Christian .

Did you really read anything or are all these discussion threads a ploy to kill time until you have a day off to implement something else off the wall ?

What has happened to you ?

These questions do not require an answer . Enough time has been waisted .

I am still praying for you ...

How does one maintain Christian principles among non Christians?

How does one maintain Christian principles without Christian leadership and principles ?

2Cr 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

I would guess, the same way you do in real life. Even hermits get visitors.

Actually, Erwin, you SHOULD be prepared to refund money to site supporters who financially supported CF. I'm sure many would not spend $$ on a social networking board!

Exactly my earlier point - to SOME it seems the name was the important thing and NOT the people.

Tell me why that attitude is no different than Sunday church goers who don't think about it at all the rest of the week?

This truly breaks my heart. My husband and I came to this forum with high expectations and have met some great people. As I said before (when this was all being talked about as "maybe happening in the future"), this is just the start before it becomes a fully secular forum.

They took prayer out of the public schools - and look where that got us today.

This is why my husband and I withdrew our CF site support.

Um, what changed?
Did you read?
Where do you see Christ's name?
We are no longer a Christ centered message board, but one of a social club!
That changed!

I do not understand that!

It was CHRSIATIAN forum with lots of non-Chrsitian members. Did you ever think WHY they chose to be a member of it and agreed to all the rules? Maybe because they WANTED to be members of CHRSTIAN forums???

Why didnt you just open another Social networking Forums at foru.ms???? And let members decide if they want to move over THERE??? I sure do not!

Thanks for all your hard work Erwin, and have a well deserved rest.

I think I can comprehend the vision you are attempting to employ, and it is very well intended as well as appreciated.

I will try to do my part to support this vision and advance it.

Exactly - what has really changed?????

The name is NOT as important as the people.

And it never was a Christ centered message board anyway - the name didn't make it so just as the new name does not change things.

Act 4:11-12
(11) This is the stone which was set at naught of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
(12) Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Tell me why that attitude is no different than Sunday church goers who don't think about it at all the rest of the week?
