It's a Shaman's Place person!
I mean no disrespect to you by asking this but I have to ask it - did you convert to christianity because of CF policy or because of Christ? Christ died for us all and we all need His saving grace - other people arent our saviors who are in as much need of His salvation as we are and He is the only reason to be saved (convert to christianity) His example is the only example worthy. Not mine or anyone elses because even what one who is submitted to Him portrays is Him in them and not their own merits.
Okay but even before the changes we had areas where Christians and non-Christians could discuss their spiritual needs together. Christians also deserve a place where they feel safe and sometimes that means just having a place where other Christians came come. It's not to have a secret club... its a place to talk to like-minded Sisters and Brothers about our needs.
If anything more Christians should have taken a few moments every day they come here to reach out to non-Christians. We had the forums... they just weren't used as much as they ought to.
I feel like I'm deceiving people, which is something I did not want to do. Please read my profile.
I'm going to hide the cross. I've gotten a zillion rep points in the last half hour and I'm afraid to look at the comments.
I apologize.
Because asking to be treated with some respect is just too much for some christians.Loki said:We don't want table scraps of a few minutes of fellowship; we want to be able to sit down and share a meal together. There are already rules in place to prevent the wolves from tearing apart the weak in faith, why must we be forced to peek in the windows without being able to come in?

My reforms, take 'em or leave 'em.
1. Return to the Nicene Creed as a foundation for icons.
2. Make a new mission statement.
3. Make it so individual threads can be CO or non-CO. When you make a thread you have to pick CO or non-CO and there is something in the title that says if it's CO or not. I hope there will be lots of non-CO threads even in Congregational forums.
4. In the mission statement, make sure it says that homosexual acts are grave sin and one must repent of them in order to be Christian. If they openly admit that they're in some sort of gay relationship and aren't repentant and have a Christian icon, give 'em one of those unorthodox candles. Basically, don't ask, don't tell.
5. Put in the mission statement that Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses are NOT Christians.
6. Allow pro-life and pro-traditional marriage statements, but not the converse. Pro-choice and pro-gay bling are hereby banned.
7. Bring back consequences, but I suppose we can be a little softer here. Let's call them "alerts" and "staff notices" or something a little softer than warnings/infractions.
8. However, even in conjunction with #4, make sure to provide for pastoral care when discussing any forced icon changes and well before the decision is made. I know it works for some when it's after the change, but for the majority, pastoral care is needed before AND after.
9. Non-Christians cannot have a staff icon or access to private staff forums, but a few trusted non-Christian mod helpers can be used to organize reports and be there for consultation if needed. (Idea quite blatantly taken from justanobserver.)
I'm sure there's more but it's late.

You forgot that marriage was defined as between one man and one woman, and you can't get the icon unless it's that.

Do you want non-Christians to feel isolated and less likely to see the light of Christ? Or do you want them to see how nice and happy Christians are and join the faith?
I'm sure god would choose the 2nd one

I like those reforms.
God could probably care less about what CF
HEY! Thanks to Letalis, I am able to use my old account again! I agree there needs to be a middle ground.. and it is nice to see you too! Maybe some of this chaos can die down with another reform or something and I can return as a member.Good point, though I think I'm leaning more to Option 2 but definitely there should be middle ground set. (Btw, it's nice to see you around even for a little bit)
While we're at it, let's look inside everyone's pants before they get a gender icon. Intersexed individuals need not apply, as it clearly states God only made man and woman.

Lel i think you might be on to something - i agree with about 80 percent of your ideas - i dont like forced icon changes though. Never have - if someone is being dishonest its on them between them and God.
