I honestly do not see anyone posting in connection with gossip. However, what I am concerned about is that individuals can find a place where they practice indulgence and excess and if/when anyone else does bring it up, it is considered 'wrong' to bring it up rather than the one in indulgence or excess is wrong. Just an observation.

It is true that the national media hasn't always been the best friend of the church...

...but does that mean the truths that were uncovered in this article are not true? Truths such as Matt Crouch recieving 32 Million dollars of untaxed money from Dad - donated from TBN viewers who believed the money to be going towards keeping the network running.

I'll have to be a little honest here.

1) The reaction to this news is very alarming to me on so many levels. The best defense that can be offered is that it's the national media so it means nothing? What would it take for you to see the truth?

If they get caught, they can go to jail, like her in my state where a number of state representatives went to jail over amounts such as $50,000 being used wrongly. Should not the same standard apply to this guy, despite him being a religious icon?

This to me is far more scandalous and sick.

I'd be very interested to hear what Jim Baker thinks about this.

The media may or may not have a bias concerning a specific story.

God didn't have to use diane sawyer to let the body of Christ know about him, God had already exposed him to a whole lot of folks way before with his fake tongues and comedy. and, even though he was on her show, there are still some people who follow him.

Do we know that is is 'untruth'? I can go on the internet and find anything I want to support whatever comes to mind. Is there proof that the money was used wrongly? Instead of indulging in gossip..write them and ask for an accounting of their money! NOW there is a concept.

Truths you know for a fact that these are truths. You can actually take this to court and prove it.
