Well does locally/regionally famous count? I'm descended from the guy who founded Natchitoches, Louisiana. Hey, it's the oldest town in the Louisiana Purchase! They called him Chevalier Louis Antione Juchareau de St. Denis. He had come down from Canada. He also had some dealings with some well-known explorers, but I can't remember who right now.

Ummm really not sure. Royce Kendall was my great uncle's
stepson and due to bad blood between my grandfather & uncle,
we never met them.

I'm related somehow to the Hyde family of England-they were holders of the Earldom of Clarendon (1st Creation). Lady Anne Hyde was the daughter of the first earl, and married the future King James II. She was the mother of two queens, Mary II and Anne. I am also related to the Stamps Quartet-apparantly Elvis Presley was a fan of theirs :D I am also descended from some preachers who gained minor fame in Arkansas.

I might be related to one of the wives of Henry VIII, and I might be related to Jefferson Davis by marriage. One of his sisters married Captain William Stamps, who I might be related to.

I am probably related to more famous (and infamous  ) folks, but I haven't found them yet.

Not directly now (cousins), I have more famous people in my family.
- the Captain Dreyfus
- Julia Louis-Dreyfus (and the rest of the Loui-Dreyfus family)
- the Servan-Schreiber family

If you are related to Captain Dreyfus of the Dreyfus Affair then you are also related to the actor Richrd Dreyfuss. According to Richard he is a direct descendant of Captain Dreyfuss.

Because of their disticnt beliefs the Mormons have a lot of great genealogy centers. Here is their genealogy site.

I'm related to Paul Harvey on my mom's side. I am also related to George Washington on my mom's side and my dad's side, but more on my mom's side.
My g-g-g grandfather and his brother served on the staff of Andrew Jackson at the Battle of New Orleans in 1815. A cousin married a nephew of Andrew Jackson in the White House when Jackson was president.

William the Conqueror, the last Queen of Bohemiah, the house of Orange in general (both sides), the Wright Brothers, Jerrie Mock (first woman to fly around the world--my grandmother, actually! :)), oh and Richard Nixon is my sixth cousin or something like that... ;)
