Well does locally/regionally famous count? I'm descended from the guy who founded Natchitoches, Louisiana. Hey, it's the oldest town in the Louisiana Purchase! They called him Chevalier Louis Antione Juchareau de St. Denis. He had come down from Canada. He also had some dealings with some well-known explorers, but I can't remember who right now.

I'm related somehow to the Hyde family of England-they were holders of the Earldom of Clarendon (1st Creation). Lady Anne Hyde was the daughter of the first earl, and married the future King James II. She was the mother of two queens, Mary II and Anne. I am also related to the Stamps Quartet-apparantly Elvis Presley was a fan of theirs I am also descended from some preachers who gained minor fame in Arkansas.

I might be related to one of the wives of Henry VIII, and I might be related to Jefferson Davis by marriage. One of his sisters married Captain William Stamps, who I might be related to.

I am probably related to more famous (and infamous ) folks, but I haven't found them yet.
