Obama admin subverted incoming President with fake intelligence - Media played along

this is really funny to me

in 2017, when there were ambiguous claims leaked by Obama admin intelligence agencies about Trump-Russia collusion, it turned into years of media headlines, everything was another piece in the puzzle, slowly closing in on the great conspiracy of how the Trump admin was in league with Putin in winning the 2016 election.

I remember this time well. Trump-Russia collusion was all anyone talked about for 3 years. It was supposedly the biggest scandal in U.S. history, and media was obsessed with it. (they gave themselves Pulitzer prizes for their reporting! lol)

So... the Trump-Russia thing was all a lie, of course.

But look at the contrast with today.

The Director of National Intelligence ( a former democrat until just a couple years ago) comes out with straightforward allegations that the Obama admin used fake intelligence to subvert the incoming President. An extremely scandalous claim.

And if you scroll across the legacy media landscape, it's like nothing even happened. None of them are the least bit curious about if it's true or not.

With Trump-Russia, the slightest innuendo of whiff of something drove those outlets into hysterics. "Trump's son met with a Russian once! WOW!!! The walls are closing in!" Every little thing was a major headline.

Every time someone in the Trump orbit was shown to have shaken hands with a Russian, the media went into a frenzy at how it was all coming together.

You all remember it, don't you?

Now they are trying to cover themselves and say "All we ever said was that Russians were meddling in the election!" hahaha,

as if the whole affair wasn't constantly framed around the Trump admin colluding with Russia,

as if the Trump administration itself wasn't constantly under investigation for Russian collusion that whole time.

the attempt to memory-hole all of that is truly impressive, I must say.

of course, they have to do this because of what DNI Gabbard revealed.

specifically - intelligence community consensus shifted from "Russia is not a threat to our election" right before the 2016 election...

and then right after the election, Obama suddenly ordered a new IC report that concluded "Russia subverted our election to help Trump win", (even despite warnings from their own analysts that they were using bad intel.)

and all of Obama's IC heads then pushed that narrative for years afterward, knowing there was nothing to it.

it looks really bad, doesn't it?

Ralph Martin Issues Statement on His Abrupt Firing frm Sacred Heart Seminary

Firing Was ‘A Shock’ for Theologian Ralph Martin

Says he didn’t get a full explanation for termination from Detroit seminary.

Prominent Catholic theologian Ralph Martin says Detroit’s new archbishop told him he fired him from the archdiocese’s seminary faculty over undefined “concerns about my theological perspectives.”

Martin, 82, who had taught at Sacred Heart Major Seminary since 2002, said Archbishop Edward Weisenburger told him Wednesday he “was terminating my position at the seminary effective immediately.”

Why Poland remains a leader in religious vocations in Europe

Poland stands out as the undisputed leader in religious vocations in Europe in 2025, with 206 new ordained priests, the highest number on the continent. This recent data from the Polish Catholic Information Agency KAI, reported by the Catholic Herald, shows that while much of Europe grapples with declining ordination figures, Poland’s numbers remain robust, reflecting a deep-rooted commitment to religious life.

This is particularly evident in the Diocese of Tarnów (southern Poland), which leads the country with 13 new priests scheduled for ordination this year.

In contrast to much of Europe, where the number of new priests has fallen below replacement levels — leading dioceses to increasingly rely on clergy from Africa and Asia — Poland’s continued leadership in ordinations seems to underscore the resilience of its Catholic identity and religious practices. Such resilience is especially significant given that Poland, like other European nations, faces the pressures of secularization, changing family structures, and a declining birth rate.

The number of diocesan ordinations in Poland has declined slightly, with 141 new diocesan priests in 2025 compared with 153 in 2024, but the picture has remained relatively stable in recent years.

Missouri sues Planned Parenthood for ‘systematically’ misleading women on abortion pills

Missouri filed a lawsuit this week against the national Planned Parenthood organization, alleging that the abortion giant has “systematically misled” women about the risks associated with chemical abortion pills.

On Wednesday, Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey announced that his office had filed a lawsuit in state circuit courtagainst Planned Parenthood Federation of America, alleging that the corporation “systematically misled women about the dangers of chemical abortions in order to cut costs and drive up revenue at the risk of women’s health and safety.”

Bailey said the abortion provider promulgates “dangerous claims” about the drug, including claiming that it is safer than common household drugs such as Tylenol.

This is “despite FDA labeling and peer-reviewed studies” showing severe adverse events associated with the pill rising in some cases to the double digits.

Children’s hospitals nationally end transgender surgeries on minors amid Trump rules

Several children’s hospitals across the country that have performed transgender surgeries on minors are halting the procedures in response to President Donald Trump’s executive actions and his administration’s regulatory changes.

Hospital systems and individual hospitals in California; New York; Washington, D.C.; Colorado; Illinois; Pennsylvania; and other states have announced changes in recent weeks in how they treat children who believe they are the opposite sex. Some transgender clinics are shutting down entirely.

One prominent clinic that performed these operations — the Center for Transyouth Health and Development at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles — shut down on Tuesday, July 22. The clinic is facing an ongoing lawsuit from a formerly transgender-identifying woman who alleges that doctors fast-tracked her into a hormonal and surgical gender transition beginning when she was only 12 years old.

The clinic’s medical director, Johanna Olson-Kennedy, also faced scrutiny last year for allegedly blocking the publication of a taxpayer-funded study because the results failed to find any mental health benefits for children who are given transgender drugs, according to the New York Times.

White House releases U.S. plan for AI as Catholics say it must uphold human dignity

This week the White House released its plan for artificial intelligence (AI) in the United States, which aims “to achieve global dominance in AI” and promote “human flourishing, economic competitiveness, and national security for the American people.”

The plan comes as Catholic leaders continue to urge developers to exercise caution when growing and refining the new technology.

The government’s “Winning the AI Race: America’s AI Action Plan” identifies more than 90 federal policy actions within the categories of “accelerating innovation, building American AI infrastructure, and leading in international diplomacy and security.”

The White House announcement laid out the key policies the AI plan will focus on, including sharing technology with allies around the world, developing data centers, and stripping away red tape around AI development.

Exclusive: Gaza priest injured in Israeli bombing discusses impact on parish community

“Thanks be to God more people weren’t harmed,” said Father Gabriel Romanelli in an exclusive interview with EWTN on July 24 in the wake of the July 17 bombing of his parish, Holy Family Church in Gaza, which left three dead and 15 wounded, including himself.

“It was a shocking experience,” Romanelli told “EWTN Noticias” in the Spanish-language interview, noting that while the parish grounds were struck toward the beginning of the war in December 2023, last week’s attack marked the first time the church itself was hit. The front of the church was hit in a strike that Israeli officials have said was an accident.

“That iconic cross you’ve seen — it’s about 2 meters [6.5 feet] tall — was heavily damaged,” the priest said of the crucifix fixed atop the church structure. “Shrapnel flew in all directions,” he recounted.

“The area is quite small, and while we hear bombings daily and metal fragments often fall, there hadn’t been such a severe incident since the war began,” Romanelli continued, adding: “The recent strike has left a deep mark.”

Pope Benedict and Saint James the Greater

Hello

Hello,

I've been a long time reader of the forms, and finally took the initiative to create an account and share.

I am a man in my thirties, Christian-Orthodox denomination, from Europe (Romania) that has found God when I was very little, and strive to keep His word to the best of my ability. I try to live by Psalm 119, which my favorite, and the one that speaks louder to me than all other Psalms. And I'm currently studying Byzantine plain chant. Not very good, but I am trying. I try to chant a segment of the psalms everyday, though not always possible. And maintain a very simple life, sans-temptations, where everything is based necessity and not want.

On the relationship side, I never pursued women because I never felt the need. Since the beginning, I handled loneliness extremely well - as if it did not exist. And never had lust. So with these two in effect, I considered that it was best to not pursue women. On this side, I'm not sure if this is God's will or not, but I think that if a man has no desire for something, and is unaffected by loneliness, then it is part of something.

I also enjoy studying. Any subject is worth learning, and I do it happily.I love to read books, as old as possible. I love history, philosophy, religion, mathematics. And generally spend my time in each one, alternating. The desire for knowledge is never ending, and I think it may be be from God.

In rest, I am an advocate for soberness and vigilance. That is, anything that can corrupt your mind should not be done. And I believe that every person should be watchful of themselves, of the people around them, and of their environment.

On occasion I have dreamt of God, telling me uplifting things. And... I also had one dream where the devil showed himself to me (telling me the opposite). I am a dreamer, which has dreams, and visions. And most of them come true. Not sure if it is a prophetic manifestation of the Holy Spirit, but in my dreams I receive warnings, and messages of things to come. Some can be changed, others cannot, but they happen as dreamt.

How can I know the difference between a test and a curse?

Hello,

I have a long-time problem that I have not be able to solve, and I'm not sure what it is. I have everything in my life except a career/financial stability. On this side, opportunities have always been non-existent: never had access to higher people, likewise job opportunities I could never find. For some reason, the right people, and the right jobs are out of my reach. What I am given are jobs that are either above me, or jobs that are below me. This is to say, it's made such a way that you can't succeed.

It is very painful for me because I consider myself a capable individual. The degrees are there, same as the work experience. I also posses a fair amount of foreign languages, and other valued skills, but all of this - for some reason - is nothing to what I'm dealing with.

Over the years I tried many things, but nothing seems to work. It appears to be that I'm stuck in a perpetual loop, and there is a fair amount of confusion as well. Sometimes I feel like what I have, i don't have. And what I don't have have, is actually what I do have. I try to slow things down to understand how it works.

And, there is this thing of traps, as I like to call them. The roads which I'd need are all closed for me. Yet, every road that either leads nowhere, or leads to evil is wide opened. In the past, I let down the knowledge and wisdom, and went through one of these opened paths, only to realize that it caused much more problems than it solved, and that I was better of before that road was taken. It fells like what is easy is wrong for me, and is a trap.

The career is the ultimate humiliation because I love to study, and allocate a lot of time for it. The development of my mind, and acquiring knowledge, and the forming of wisdom later-on are one of my top priorities. So obviously, when it is fruitless, I feel like I'm dying inside.

I'm trying to understand if this is a curse or a test.

I have not introduced myself (yet), but for a short context, I am a man, that keeps the scripture as much as possible. Some of my activities: I pray, I fast (daily), chant the psalms, treat the body as it is the temple, sober and vigilant towards corruption, never had a romantic relationship, and saving for marriage (if ever). In the case of a potential curse, how would this be possible? And if this is a test, why? It's been going on for a lot of time now (years).

Thank you.

I Cried with All My Heart

“I cried with all my heart; answer me, O Lord!
I will observe Your statutes.
I cried to You; save me
And I shall keep Your testimonies.
I rise before dawn and cry for help;
I wait for Your words.
My eyes anticipate the night watches,
That I may meditate on Your word.
Hear my voice according to Your lovingkindness;
Revive me, O Lord, according to Your ordinances.
Those who follow after wickedness draw near;
They are far from Your law.
You are near, O Lord,
And all Your commandments are truth.
Of old I have known from Your testimonies
That You have founded them forever.” (Psalm 119:145-152 NASB1995)

When we follow the Lord Jesus Christ with our lives, and we obey his commands, in practice, and we follow his guidance and direction, and we go where he sends us, and we speak what he gives us to say, to whom he gives us to say it, we are going to be faced with opposition. And that opposition could be coming from people close to us, from friends, and/or family, and/or from other professing Christians, and/or from pastors of “churches,” and the like. But it hurts the most when it comes from people closest to us.

And now this is not to claim that we are absolutely perfect in every way and that no one should ever accuse us of anything wrong. We should be humble people who admit when we are wrong, who are willing to take correction, and who are willing to make changes in our lives where they are needed and where they are required by God. We should be willing to compromise where it does not require compromising truth and righteousness and the Word of God and his gospel. But all should be done under the direction of our Lord.

And sometimes these persecutions, they pile up, one after another after another. And for some of us, they eventually take their toll on us, and we absolutely do cry with our whole hearts, seeking God for answers and guidance and direction in knowing what to do, and in what to say, and in what to not do, and to not say. For some of us are not “Rocks of Gibraltar,” which symbolize much strength and resilience, but we cry, and we must absolutely trust in the Lord to be our strength, our counsel, and our wisdom.

Have you ever tried running in a race, but when you got near to the end your body was just about ready to collapse, and you didn’t know how you were going to last to the finish line? It’s kind of like that, and kind of like what Paul described, too, or what Job suffered, as well. Sometimes it all just piles up on you at once or else it is just the accumulation of trials and tribulations, over a span of many years, and so sometimes you might wonder how much longer you will last. Then you cry with your whole heart.

One of the things which brings me to tears is how so many people professing faith in Jesus Christ are being deceived by liars and tricksters who know how to charm the people, and who know how to put on a good show, and who are telling people lies. These liars are malicious, morally unclean, fakes, manipulators, egocentric, and unfaithful to those who look to them for truth or for help and guidance. And so many people are following them to their deaths, thinking that they have the hope of eternal life with God.

And that absolutely breaks my heart! I literally weep over the deceived, over those who have been promised salvation from sin and eternal life with God based on a lie which tells them that nothing is required of them other than a profession of faith in Jesus Christ. But Jesus and his New Testament apostles taught that faith in Jesus Christ must result in us dying to sin and obeying our Lord, in practice, by the grace of God, in the power of God. For if we walk in sin, and not in obedience to God, we do not have life in Christ.

Bombs are bursting. Night is falling.
Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.
Trust Him with your life today.
Make Him your Lord and your Savior.
Turn from your sin. Follow Jesus.
He will forgive you of your sin;
Cleanse your heart, made new within.

Men betraying: Our trust fraying.
On our knees to God we’re praying,
Seeking God to give us answers
That are only found in Him.
God is sovereign over all things.
Nothing from His mind escaping.
He has all things under His command,
And will work all for good.

Jesus Christ is gently calling
You to follow Him in all ways.

Men deceiving: We’re believing
In our Lord, and interceding
For our nation and its people
To obey their God today.
He is our hope for our future.
For our wounds He offers suture.
He is all we need for this life.
Trust Him with your life today.

Charlie Kirk lauds young men's renewed interest in attending church: 'It's beautiful'

Conservative activist Charlie Kirk says he's optimistic about young men’s renewed interest in attending church and Christianity in general, which he attributes to a growing desire to be part of “something that is beautiful.”

During an interview with Tucker Carlson earlier this week, Kirk expressed gratitude for “one really good trend” he's witnessing across the United States: “young men are going back to church.”

Kirk described church as a “life raft in this [...] tsunami of chaos and disorder.” Kirk, an Evangelical Christian who also identifies as a Calvinist, explained why he thinks young men are choosing Catholic and Orthodox churches in particular: “They want something that is lasting. They want something that is ancient, that is beautiful, something that has stood the test of time, something that’s not going to change, something that’s all of a sudden not going to ... just flip around and have some sort of … transgender story hour.”

Prayer for people in Gaza

Ecclesiates 9:11 mentions time and place happening to all.

There are people in Gaza who are innocent in heart but they are trapped in a war by proxy. There is a war between Israel and Hamas but many of the people in Gaza are helpless and trapped, they are suffering immensely.

I also believe there are various people in the US suffering from many walks of life as well, we should pray for these people that God will provide deliverance for them. As Christian I believe we should oppose the terrorism of Hamas but should not let innocent bystanders suffer cruelty and starvation.

The issue is not lack of funds nor food, the problem is the heart of Israel, they are so consumed by vengence that in their pursuit of those who wronged them they are also harming those who have not harmed them and are innocent.

Please pray that Israel will correct course and only punish those who are guilty of terrorism and not those who are innocent.

Hulk Hogan's Greatest Day

Hulk Hogan was pronounced dead at the hospital today, July 24, 2025 at 11:17 am. His family said in a statement that he was "surrounded by his loved ones" when he died. I was pleased when reading about Hulk Hogan's wife, at the end of the article, it states... Hogan and Daily got baptized together... In December 2023, Hogan revealed that he and Daily had gotten baptized, sharing a video on Instagram from the ceremony at Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Florida.

"Total surrender and dedication to Jesus is the greatest day of my life. No worries, no hate, no judgment… only love!" he wrote in the caption.

Through the lens of humanity

I think it may have been Mortimer Wheeler who suggested that when we look at the universe it is the universe which is looking at itself through our eyes.

Is this just a whimsical observation with no testable consequenses as to its veracity?

Can anything more be said around that observation or is it just a "take it or leave it" statement ?

Joy Behar reveals The View is going on hiatus day after White House calls for it to be canceled

Will 'The View' get canceled?

  • Yes.

  • No.

Results are only viewable after voting.

The regularly scheduled summer hiatus sparked speculation online that the show could be gone ‘forever’ because the White House called for its cancellation

Is The View going to be next on the chopping block? I am going to guess that during their hiatus, producers will have serious conversations as to whether or not their show is worth the liability.

With their ratings in tank and loosing to Harris Faulkner, the decision should be easy and they will announce their cancelation when they return. What do you think?

Canadian cities keep revoking MAGA singer’s performance permits

I'm not familiar with this particular musician, but simply yanking the permits for people who the "in-power" local politicians don't agree with isn't a particularly good look for Canada (and may actually damage the perception of liberal people more broadly since conservatives already have the "libs are anti free speech" talking points in full effect, this just bolsters that argument)

Federal bill would exempt pope from U.S. taxes, ‘safeguard’ his American citizenship

A new bill before Congress would “safeguard” the domestic citizenship of any American who is elected pope of the Catholic Church, including exempting him from paying taxes to the IRS.

Rep. Jeff Hurd, R-Colorado, proposed the bill, saying it “ensures that any American who answers the call to lead more than a billion Catholics worldwide can do so without risking his citizenship or facing unnecessary tax burdens.”

While the text of the bill is not yet available, Hurd said in a statement on his congressional website the bill is meant “to protect the citizenship of, and provide tax-exempt status to, any American elected as the supreme pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church.”

“This legislation recognizes the extraordinary nature of the papacy — a role at the intersection of faith, leadership, and global responsibility,” the Colorado representative said.

Friendship between CS Lewis, JRR Tolkien to hit big screen in animated film: 'Art gets better in community'

A feature-length animated film bringing to life the deep friendship and creative fellowship between C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien, the minds behind The Chronicles of Narnia and The Lord of the Rings, respectively, is in the works.

Filmmaker Aaron Burns, founder of the independent film studio Burns & Co., announced his studio has secured the film rights to The Mythmakers, a graphic novel about the two literary titans by New York Times bestselling author and illustrator John Hendrix.

“C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien’s works have inspired me for as long as I can remember,” Burns said. “When I read John Hendrix’s The Mythmakers, I immediately knew that Burns & Co. needed to adapt it into an animated film as special as the book. John’s words and images literally leap off the page, so I can’t wait to capture his creativity and craft a timeless film that families can enjoy for years to come.”

A father of five who was sedated in the hospital after he was shot in the face twice by a gunman at Richmond Road Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky, recently learned his wife did not survive the attack as he regained consciousness at a local hospital.

The father, Randy Combs, was among four people shot by the late 47-year-old Guy House, who went on a shooting rampage at the church after he shot and injured Kentucky State Police trooper Jude Remilien at the Blue Grass Airport on July 13.

Randy Combs and the church's pastor, Jerry Gumm, both survived their gunshot wounds. Combs' wife, 32-year-old Christina Combs, and her mother, 72-year-old Beverly Gumm, who is also the pastor's wife, were killed.
