Luke 23:50–56​

50 Now there was a good and righteous man named Joseph, who, though a member of the council, had not agreed to their plan and action. He came from the Jewish town of Arimathea, and he was waiting expectantly for the kingdom of God.

Imagine being in the minority. His brothers in the council actually use scripture to accuse and condemn Jesus.
How could they be so wrong, to see evil in him instead of good? But what can Joseph really do. To speak out puts him in danger.
He does not have the authority or influence to persuade the minds already made up against Jesus.
It must have been frustrating to see words of the law and Prophets turned around as weapons against Jesus.


But we see that also today don't we? Scripture used by the right and the left to point out, to prove the good of our view and the evil of those opposed.
Neither side seems to have the humility for introspection and reconsideration.

At times I am Joseph and at times I am Caiaphas. Fortunately no one is really injured by my pride and fear or whatever it is that makes me want to be in the right and to prove it. But then, mustn't we stand for what we believe in? Fight for it? Where do we draw the lone between obstinance and steadfastness?

I am reminded of the apostle Paul. He was most zealous for the law and tradition believing he was serving God.

James 3:17 KJV
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

I Thank Jesus Christ the Lord for being a Christian gentleman and pure. James 3:17 KJV God gives us a language we can understand use and I have used picking up the pieces and fixing confirmations. •Everything you do goal is what God wants and commanded you. Everything I do I do it with God. •My Faith Jesus Christ resurrection 3rd day makes my faith and hope work today and in my future days. •Gospel Must Reign over all.

Who are our enemies? They are all who are opposed to Jesus Christ and to his gospel of salvation. They are all who are opposed to the teachings of the Scriptures, which are for the church, as the Scriptures teach them in their appropriate context, and who are diluting and altering the message of the gospel of our salvation in order to appease human flesh and to not offend the ungodly of the world. They are all who make compromises with truth and righteousness in order to continue in their deliberate and habitual sins.

They are our enemies if our lives are surrendered to the Lordship of Christ over our lives, and if we have died to sin, and if we are walking in obedience to our Lord and to his commands, in practice, because they are opposed to what we stand for, and what we live for, and what our lives are all about. And some of them will come against us, and fight against us, and will rebuke us for speaking the truth of the gospel, because they do not want to accept the truth that Jesus and his New Testament apostles taught as the gospel.

We do not make them our enemies, though. They become our enemies when they choose to fight against us, and to mistreat us, to lie about us to others, to refuse to hear the truth of the Scriptures, to reject us, and to cast us aside as unwanted and unnecessary, because we are speaking the truth that they do not want to hear and to accept. We must not let their mistreatment of us discourage us, but we must persevere in following the Lord Jesus, no matter how others treat us or say about us or to us. And we must love them.

So, deliverance from our enemies is not necessarily a physical departure from them, but it is deliverance from their influences and their words and the effects of their mistreatment, so that we do not let it take us out or lead us to give up and to walk away from where God has us, and from what he is having us do in obedience to his leading in our lives. We must remain steadfast in our walks of faith in obedience to our Lord in doing what he calls us to do, according to his word, even if many oppose us for speaking truth.

But even if they mistreat us, we do not treat them like enemies. We love them, we forgive them, we pray for them, and we speak to them what is for their benefit, for their good, as God defines “good.” We do not retaliate or return hate with hate, but we return hate with love and kindness and compassion. And it is love to tell people the truth of the gospel and what Jesus taught, and what his New Testament apostles taught, because we want to see them delivered out of slavery to sin and to now obey God.

Peace in Christ.

There are MANY deceivers who are entered into the world who do not confess/acknowledge that Jesus IS COMING (present tense) in the flesh….our mortal flesh. They are not preaching the doctrine of THE Christ…but one of the antichrist. Jesus...their "another jesus"...delays His coming according to their "understanding."

2Jn 1:7
(7) For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ IS COMING (present tense) in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

2 John 1:7 uses the present tense verb "coming" (Greek: erchomenon.)

It is used to emphasize the continuous, ongoing reality of Jesus….the life of Jesus that is supposed to be manifest in our mortal flesh which gives us an age-lasting life (aka “eternal life”) in the here-and-now.

This manifestation of His life in our mortal body is the revealing of the Son of man.

But the Son of man is being given up so that His life is never being made manifest in the MULTITUDE of people who are currently being deceived by the MANY false prophets who come to them preaching “another jesus.”

The Son of man (His life to be made manifest in our mortal flesh) is being given up as it is not appearing in the mortal bodies of those who are being deceived.

Mat 17:22 KJV
(22) And while they abode in Galilee, Jesus said unto them, The Son of man shall be betrayed into the hands of men:

The many seducers are denying His coming in our mortal flesh in their “preaching.” They are preaching that Jesus is delaying His coming instead of IS COMING now in our mortal flesh which gives us the promise of an age-lasting life in the here-and-now.

1Jn 2:25-26 KJV
(25) And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.
(26) These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
.
They come to us preaching “another jesus” ...a decoy jesus....with “another spirit”….the spirit of the antichrist…the spirit of error.

Their “jesus” is jesus “Barabbas” (meaning “son of father”)….the “son” of their church fathers…and not Jesus the Christ who is the only begotten Son of the Father in heaven.

2Co 11:3-4 KJV
(3) But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
(4) For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

The man-based church leaders (the chief priests and elders so-to-speak) persuade the multitudes to choose their “jesus” Barabbas.

By being persuaded by them, we destroy THE (definite article) Jesus out of our own lives. The Son of man “goes away”…sinks out of sight. The Son of man is being (NOW) given up by the hands of sinners. The life of Jesus is not being made manifest in the mortal flesh of the MANY who are being deceived by them.

Mat 27:20
(20) But the chief priests and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Barabbas, and destroy THE Jesus.

The Holy One…the Just One…is being denied by choosing their another “jesus” .

Act 3:14-17 KJV
(14) But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

When we choose their “jesus,” we kill the Prince of Life out of our own lives. God has ALREADY raised Him from the dead so that we might have His manifest life now in our mortal flesh. We are to have His resurrected life now for He already mortally died in our place so that we do not mortally die but shall have His resurrected life now for He is risen.

(15) And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.
(16) And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

This is forgivable as we do it in ignorance….as do our church rulers who have no understanding of the truth of the gospel.

(17) And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.

If they (the deceivers) come to you and not bring this doctrine (that Jesus IS COMING NOW in our mortal flesh,) do not receive them into your house. Neither bid them “God speed”….that is, REJOICE…for those who are bidding them to “rejoice” are partakers of their evil deeds: participating in the giving up the Son of man so that His life is never being made manifest.

2Jn 1:9-11
(9) Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
(10) If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed (REJOICE):
(11) For he that biddeth him God speed (REJOICE) is partaker of his evil deeds.

That is what Judas said to Jesus before taking Him. He said “Hail”…that is, REJOICE…Master. They come forth and want you to “rejoice” with them in their “churches” where His life is being prevented from ever being made manifest.

Mat 26:47-50
(47) And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.
(48) Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast.
(49) And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail (REJOICE), master; and kissed him.
(50) And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.

They REJOICE while the sheep are perishing (without His life being made manifest in the mortal flesh of those they are deceiving.) Behold, there is "joy and gladness" in this "day of slaughter"....the killing of His sheep. They are pastoring the "flock of the slaughter" and are rejoicing while they are getting their earthly needs met.

Isa 22:13-14 KJV
(13) And behold joy and gladness, slaying oxen, and killing sheep, eating flesh, and drinking wine: let us eat and drink; for to morrow we shall die.
(14) And it was revealed in mine ears by the LORD of hosts, Surely this iniquity shall not be purged from you till ye die, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.

"Hurt not the oil and the wine"...the "joy and gladness"...while there is a great famine of hearing the true Word of God in their "churches."

1 John 4:2 uses the perfect tense (Greek perfect participle) to highlight the continuing reality of Jesus Christ in the flesh (as He comes in our mortal flesh), which is a key element in testing whether a spirit is from God.

The original Greek text in 1st John 2:18 uses the perfect tense, which describes an action completed in the past with ongoing results or relevance in the present. Christ came in the flesh …died in the flesh…and was resurrected in the flesh so that we might have His life NOW in the flesh. Jesus IS COMING now in our mortal flesh....not "shall come" as we all have heard them preach to us. They are of the "prince that SHALL COME" and not of the Prince of Life who IS COMING NOW in our mortal flesh.

1Jn 2:18-19 KJV
(18) Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

The deceivers are preaching another jesus in the spirit of the antichrist (there are many jesuses who are antichrists being preached and not Jesus The Christ.) The preaching originates from the spirit of error rather than the Spirit of Truth.

They went out from us but they were not of us. They follow in the footsteps of Judas.

(19) They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

Judas was chosen by Jesus and yet was a devil….

Joh 6:70-71 KJV
(70) Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
(71) He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.

….he became guide to those who are (even NOW) taking THE Jesus out of the lives of the many that they are deceiving.

Act 1:
(16) Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.
(17) For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.

They come forth to betray (give up) the Son of man (His manifest life in our mortal flesh) with a “kiss”….with a feigned kiss of the flattering lips.

When they come forth to deceive us with their “good words and fair speeches,” they want us to choose to serve their “another jesus” that they are preaching and destroy the Jesus who is coming in our mortal flesh.

His life never appears there when we are deceived into receiving their “another jesus” Barabbas and not THE Jesus The Christ.

Luk 22:46-48 KJV
(46) And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.
(47) And while he yet spake, behold a multitude, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss him.
(48) But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?

They come forth to take THE (definite article) Jesus by using a DECOY “jesus.” The Greek word for “subtilty” is “dolos” which means “decoy.” When we choose to serve their “jesus,” we are destroying the true Jesus out of our own lives.

Mat 26:3-4
(3) Then assembled together the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders of the people, unto the palace of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas,
(4) And consulted that they might take THE Jesus by subtilty (DECOY), and kill him.

Judas is guide to the multitude who are coming to take the life of Jesus from ever appearing in those that they are deceiving

They come forth with a feigned “kiss” of the flattering lips...instead of saluting others with a "holy kiss". They come forth with "good words and fair speeches" to deceive us.

They come with their "swords"...causing divisions among us. They come with their church handwritings of ordinances (their "staves"). They do not preach the doctrine of Christ but things that are contrary to it. We must avoid them.

Rom 16:16-18 KJV
(16) Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you.
(17) Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
(18) For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Are the Witnesses truly the only ones who respect the name of God? Not quite.​

The Jehovah’s Witnesses are known for their many practices and beliefs that differ from mainstream Christianity. Examples include their rejection of the Trinity, their door-to-door preaching work, and their strict congregational discipline and shunning rules. But if you asked them, they might tell you that the most obvious marker that sets them apart as the “true” religion is their use of the name “Jehovah” for God.

A little background is in order on this name,which most people have probably heard before but don’t know much about. It’s a fact that in over 6,000 places in the Old Testament, the divine name—also known as the tetragrammaton (meaning “four letters”), which is most closely rendered as YHWH—was replaced with Adonai, or “Lord” in Hebrew. No one knows how that name was pronounced because, out of reverence, it was uttered only by the High Priest once a year, on the Day of Atonement, and that practice ceased with the destruction of the Second Temple. Indeed, by Our Lord’s time, ordinary Jews would’ve never dared to pronounce it themselves, and there are no instances of it within the Greek New Testament (though Jehovah’s Witnesses have taken the liberty of inserting it there when the Old Testament is quoted in their translation).

The Witnesses, meanwhile, noticed that the tetragrammaton had in fact been translated and left present in a few places in the King James version (e.g., at Ps. 83:18). “Jehovah” is how it was rendered, a version of the name that can be traced to the Middle Ages but that scholars have pretty definitively ruled out.

I was thinking about the fact that maybe if I just started talking to a lot of people and developed relationships maybe I would have a girlfriend/wife. Maybe this is the actual reality of the situation. Is it true that women will date any man as long as he approaches her properly and knows how to communicate? One thing I don't believe anymore is that it's all about looks. I think women are smarter than that. I also feel like a woman would give me a chance. I haven't been that aggressive in pursuing women but I think that had I been more aggressive with such pursuits that I would have someone right now. Am I right is the only difference between the single and not based on just how aggressive you are? Seems worth a shot for me since the best shot I have is to see if someone will give me a chance.

It is terrible what they are doing in Israel to Bibi Netanyahu. He is a War Hero, and a Prime Minister who did a fabulous job working with the United States to bring Great Success in getting rid of the dangerous Nuclear threat in Iran. (Orthodoxy) Salvation of the soul. The meaning of life.​

Wake up man from the vanity of this world, you are in danger!
It is so determined by God that man is born, and after a certain time dies. "ye that know not what shall happen tomorrow: for what is your life? a vapour appearing for a little while, and then vanishing away." (Bible: Epistle of James chapter 4:14 verse). Immersed in the mundane hustle and bustle of the world (in any form), not every person thinks about what will be on the other side of life. The truth is that a man, having once died, passes into another spiritual world and spiritually continues to live, leaving this temporary earthly world with nothing to gain except his conscience - good or bad deeds. It is from his deeds that his subsequent fate is decided, where he will stay forever, with God in the Kingdom of Heaven or without Him in hell, according to his sins. The works of righteousness and sin form the soul of man throughout his life. This is what the soul takes with it to the Last Judgement of God, "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, and after this the judgement," (Bible: Hebrews 9:27). For everything, how a man lives his life will be answered to God. Therefore, a person should first of all think about saving himself, only after that he will be able to help his relatives and friends in the matter of salvation, "Save yourself and thousands will be saved around you", so said Saint Seraphim of Sarov. Being immersed in the vanity of this world, a person forgets the spiritual side of life, completely carelessly thinking about salvation and the meaning of life on Earth, not thinking about the main, the ultimate goal of existence, to which man is destined by the Creator. Ignorance of spiritual laws does not exempt one from responsibility. "Do not be deceived: God is not scolded. Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap: he that soweth to his flesh from the flesh shall reap corruption, but he that soweth to the spirit from the spirit shall reap eternal life." Galatians 6:7-8. "What good is it to a man if he gains the whole world, but harms his own soul? or what ransom will a man give for his soul, Matthew 16:26" Man does not live on earth to make himself comfortable, but to pass the spiritual examination of self-improvement in goodness, love, virtues and to live forever in bliss with the Lord. "The smelter is for silver, and the crucible for gold, but the Lord tests the hearts." (Proverbs 17:3).
Holy Scripture Bible, reveals to us the history of the entire universe, its Genesis, how evil penetrated into man. evil gave birth to sin, behind every sin is a spirit of evil demon. Light angels who went to the side of the slanderer and man-killer Devil, became fallen malicious devils and demons, each sin and sinful addiction patronised by his demon, behind the demons is the prince of this world Devil, man-killer and torturer, aka Satan, the root of all evil, aka the former light angel, Lucifer, overthrown into the underworld by God for pride and desire to become like the Almighty. Satan slyly seduced the first people created by God, Adam and Eve, perturbed the universe and sinful evil was born on the Earth, which began to torment all mankind. "For our wrestling is not against blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against the spirits of evil under heaven." (Ephesians 6:12). It was sin that separated man from the Creator. Thus, the devil has gained power over sinners. According to spiritual laws, in order to destroy the kingdom of darkness and the power of separation of man from the Creator, God the Father gave His beloved Son Jesus Christ to be tortured and crucified on the cross, His divine innocent blood was shed to redeem from the power of sin for each person personally: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Gospel of John 3:16" For according to spiritual laws the sinner belongs to the devil and the righteous to God, according to the free will of man with whom he shall abide. "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 6:23). "As witnesses before you I call heaven and earth today: life and death have I offered you, blessing and curse. Choose life, that you and your offspring may live," (Deuteronomy 30:19). God loves the sinner but does not love the sin. "Love is from God, and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love has not known God, because God is love" (1 John 4:7-8). The Lord Jesus Christ has created a "ship of salvation" for all those who accept His saving sacrifice, this ship is the true One Holy Soborna Apostolic Orthodox Church "and I say to you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" (Matthew 16:18), in which are all the instruments of salvation, these instruments are the sacraments of the Church, which are described below.
For more than 2000 years the Orthodox Church has undergone schisms, heresies sent by the devil to confuse people with different false religions and wrong understanding of God and His honour, but all in vain, the gates of hell cannot overcome it. The Church has reached us in its true form, for the Lord, through the holy fathers, has protected and preserved it and will preserve it until the end of the age.



What do I do to save myself?
"The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord." Proverbs 1:7. Believe and realise that there is a God! "I am the resurrection and the life; he that believeth in Me, though he die, yet shall he live." Gospel of John 11:25, to rethink your whole life, to understand what sin is, to realise your weakness and sinfulness, for this is where all the problems of life, including disease, come from... "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies" Gospel of Matthew 15:19, in order to be cleansed from sin and to commit no more, a decisive change of thought, life and hatred of sin - repentance - is necessary. "A sacrifice to God is a broken spirit; a broken and humble heart Thou wilt not despise, O God. Psalms 50:19", "Therefore, stand girding up your loins with the truth and putting on the armour of righteousness," Ephesians 6:14 It is important to start churches, try to go regularly to the Orthodox church for services every week and be a partner in the holy sacraments, in time you will begin to understand what happens in the temple at church services. You can always approach the priest and ask questions. You can find literature for churching as "The basics of Orthodoxy", and for a better understanding and research in the sin itself "Help to the penitent", absolutely free to find on the Internet or buy in the temple, if there are close acquaintances believers, you can ask to help to become on the path of formation. Start communicating with God, addressing Him with prayer, with your own words from your heart. Also buy an Orthodox prayer book, which will help in this communication, it is a prayer charter of a Christian, like a military soldier, which should try to fulfil, which includes different prayers, including morning prayer and evening prayer, you can discuss it with a spiritual father, who will tell you how to make the right spiritual prayer food for the soul for each day to be able to. If time is short and it is difficult, there is a prayer rule of Seraphim of Sarov for laymen. Know the prayers "Our Father" by heart, the "Creed"..... "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy room, and having shut thy door, pray to thy Father, who is in secret; and thy Father, who seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly. Matthew 6:6" It is very important to understand that a Christian's faith must be matched by good righteous works with keeping the commandments "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead. Epistle of James 2:26." Formal prayer is not godly. Prayer is a spiritual labour. God does not help the lazy. "...Unclean demons are in the habit of abiding with those and disturbing those more, who relax themselves with laziness and do not care about prayer..." Rev. Nilus of Sinai. "...Do not listen to the devil when he whispers to you: give to me now, and to God you will give tomorrow. No, no, but spend all the hours of your life in a way that is favourable to God, keeping in mind that after this hour you will not be given another, and that for every minute of this hour you will have to give the most detailed account. Remember that there is no price for the time you have in your hands, and that if you waste it, the hour will come when you will seek it and not find it. Consider lost the day in which, although you did good deeds, you did not overcome your worst inclinations and desires."- Venerable Nicodemus the Saint.

So last year things happened to me that really messed me up both spiritually. It's a long story but I believe it had to do with demonic oppression. I began to have blasphemous intrusive thoughts and even though I have tried to resist it, it's like those blasphemous thoughts have become a part of me. Now I feel I cannot undo the damage the demons did to my soul and I feel like a ruined soul, like what's use of trying. I have asked the Lord for healing but I don't get it, I cannot discern his voice anymore, it's like I am so mentally unwell. I just want the pain to end. I have had my dreams crushed over and over again. I'm also afraid over the state of my soul and that God will send me to Hell because sometimes I feel like I am going there but then again maybe that's my insanity talking. I attend confession almost every week. My life has been one big nightmare, only a few glimpses of consolation and light, and I do not understand why this is. I don't understand myself anymore. I don't understand why God won't heal me through the Eucharist and Confession, because even though I attend the sacraments and pray the Rosary regularly there is no change or healing. I feel like I cannot feel the Holy Spirit anymore and no matter what prayer I do, it just doesn't do anything for me. Currently I feel so dark in my soul and my body is not well either. I don't understand why God would let me go through all of this nightmare (because there was some demonic stuff last year) just for nothing. I'm still sick, depressed, schizophrenic and spiritually unsound. I'm not strong enough to go to Heaven, it would take several miracles with my soul and health for me to get there but God refuses to grant those miracles. My prayers are not working. I need a breakthrough that has been due for 5+ years now. I'm considering switching denominations because I want to encounter the Holy Spirit (like in the pentecostal movement) and I do not get anything from the Catholic Mass, I want healing and deliverance and breakthrough. But my Catholic guilt keeps me away from those denominations like there is this fanatic subconscious voice that tells me "The Catholic Church is the only true church and if you go to another one you are committing a mortal sin and you will go to Hell". What should I do?

Scotus upheld the Tennessee ban on affirmative care for kids. This is a great ruling to protect the kids from ruining their lives. Its been proven that neither kids or parents understand the ramifications of such folly. They don't give informed consent.

Now we just need a federal ban. But for now I'm happy to let the states deal with this. In some states they actually care more about kids welfare than they do about ideology.

"God does not call us to worship Him for His sake, but to worship Him for our sakes."

If God were proud in the human sense, He would not expend so much effort patiently serving US.

To respond to Him in gratitude by actually desiring to know Him, is the opening He longs for to establish an intimate, personal relationship with us. It is only then when we discover Who He really is, and who He designed us to be.

And wouldn't you know? As we allow Him to mold us into the image of His Son, we actually begin to realize all of the core things we long for - peace with ourselves and others, *genuine* faithful sacrificial love, purpose, dignity, confidence in our identity that cannot be shaken by anyone else, hope for this life and certainty about the next.

There is a joy so profound to be had... in hearing His voice through His Word, through His Spirit to our spirit, through His creation, and through others who likewise hear His voice.

No pleasure on earth can match that. And the beauty of it is - this joy of the Spirit lasts through all trials and decay beyond death, and survives into a new eternal reality so wonderful it is beyond our imaginations!

There is a major obstacle in His way to leading us there, however. While we are precious to Him, because of our sins we are separate from Him.

"All we like sheep have gone astray." "There is no one righteous, no not one." "The wages of sin is death."

And due to this inherited sin nature we, like automatons, gravitate towards worshipping anything or anyone other than God. That is called idolatry, which Gospel veteran Cliff Knechtle elaborates upon so well in the accompanying short video.

It is our inherent pride that desires self-autonomy, and seeks out to fill our minds with the words of anyone who reinforces that quest - who indeed worship themselves as well.

God has made it clear Who alone is worthy of such adoration - the only One Who lived a sinless life, suffered far beyond what we can imagine, spoke Words of Life, and had the courage to - like His Father - humble Himself to offer the ultimate act of service in taking the punishment we deserve upon Himself.

We are each called by our Creator, every day of our short time here, to stop and gaze intently at His Son, and embrace His gift of Love. How many will tragically continue to turn away in indifference to Christ's agony suffered at our hands - preferring to cling to all of our idols that we will ultimately lose anyway, including ourselves - as we are not the source of life and love ourselves.

If we choose not to decide, unfortunately, we still have made our choice, and will endure the horrifying consequences of choosing self over Him.

God bless us all who do, and shall, repent and trust Jesus Christ as our personal Savior and Lord, and obey Him. To Him alone belong all glory, honor and praise!

The linked article is an opinion piece. That said, what I want to direct attention to is professors requiring work to be turned in handwritten and completed in class. That's to combat the use of AI to compete work. I don't know if this is why the state of Georgia now intends to stress cursive in grades 3, 4, and 5. Note: Back in the old says, we learned cursive in the 2nd Grade.

The part about professors reminded me of a college chemistry professor did what he could to combat the then new and expensive programmable calculators from TI. Since memory then was volatile, you stored the programs on magnetic cards, which you then ran through the calculator each time you turned it on. Should also note we had exactly one student in class who had one, a gift from an older brother.

Father James Martin, a liberal Roman Catholic Jesuit, described former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg's homosexual parenting as "beautiful" and likened it to the relationships within the Trinity during a podcast earlier this week.

During a wide-ranging, hour-long discussion that touched on Buttigieg's upbringing and faith, the former mayor of South Bend, Indiana, told Martin that embracing homosexuality brought him closer to God.

"As a friend of mine put it when he was going through this process, there's two things I'm really sure about: one is that God loves me, and another is that I'm gay," said Buttigieg, who is Episcopalian.

Does the Bible command Christians to support the State of Israel? This is an important question for our time.

Let me answer the question from the outset: No. Christians are not under a biblical command to support Israel. However, they are under a biblical command to not be arrogant towards Israel. Whatever one thinks of Israel, Christians are absolutely under the biblical command to love Jews, just as they commanded to love people of any race. Christians are called to love their neighbor and their enemies (cf. Matt 5:43-48).

But why is this even a question? What is behind all of this?

For those paying attention, there’s a growing number of Americans taking an anti-Israel stance, and with this comes an all-out assault against any thinking that inclines one to believe that Christians have a biblical obligation to support Israel. “The Church is Israel,” they’ll retort! The message is, “God’s chosen people are Christians. Love the Church! Not the State that rejects Christ and was responsible for His very crucifixion!”

Coupled with this is a strong stance against Dispensationalism that teaches that Israel remains “God’s chosen people.” It follows a literal approach to the text — when God told Abraham, “I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse” (Genesis 12:3); meaning if Christians bless Israel, they’ll be blessed, and if Christians don’t, they’ll be cursed. No one wants that, right?
