  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

IVF is wrong, and so is this ramen

Because it’s wrong

This is not a post about politics. Or at least, it’s not a post about who you should vote for in November — your vote is your own.

But I did some reflecting over the weekend on a proposal Donald Trump announced Thursday, which would require either the government or insurance companies — the details are still quite scant — assume the costs of in vitro fertilization treatment for couples.

Like a lot of Catholics — regardless of how they plan to vote — I was taken aback by the idea. Catholics have long fought against the notion of taxpayer funding for abortion, in large part because of their opposition to being made an involuntary cause, however remote, in a chain of events that leads to the unjust destruction of human lives in abortion.

That’s also the reason why so many Catholics groups fought so hard against the HHS contraception mandate — because people like the Little Sisters of the Poor didn’t want to be a link in a chain that would lead to provision of contraception, and thus connected, however remotely, to the moral evil of contracepting the conjugal act.

Gen-Z Men Turning Toward Trump, While Gen-Z Women Turning Toward Harris

In the Harris-Trump choice, Gen-Z men are favorable to Trump (+13%)
while Gen-Z women are favorable to Harris (+38%).

The questions that Christians should ask are...

1 Why have the younger American genertions so heavily disengaged
from political involvement?

2 Is the male-female candidate choices for president, made worse by
sharply feminist female candidates (like Hillary Clinton)?

3 Is the male-female Gen Z split because of simple competency choices, or
does it involve other deeper biases and rhetoric in America?

NOTE: Those who are going to college are now 60% female, and 40% male.
American men seem to have less hope in an educated future, than young
American women. This is a disaster.

I would say that this is a direct result of a biased "women-have-more-
potential-than-men" feminism, that itself projects an awful bias.

NOTE: There are statistics that in the "soft" high tech market (such as
healthcare jobs), 70% of these are going to woman, and only about 30%
are going to men. This is a disaster for young men.

I would (again) say that this is a direct result of a biased "women-have-more-
potential-than-men" feminism, that itself projects an awful bias.

When Americans make choices that are more weighted on sex, than on
competency, then an awful bias is injected into the economy. I think that
THIS is a better explanation for the radical decision split among Gen-Zers,
than other political theories.

I think that historically, when female political candidates have pushed a
strident, in-your-face feminism (such as Hillary Clinton did), they drive
men to whatever the apposing political option is available.

The answer in America is NOT to redefine "diversity" as not(white-male),
which is the path that Barack Obama took, but rather, to properly
define diversity as competency and creativity (cut free of strident
feminism, or the strident promotion of everything that is not(white-male)).

America does not need more fluctuating biases, to overcome wrong biases
that have existed in the past. America needs open opportunity, that is NOT
presented as new and "corrective" biases.

There is an ongoing disaster unfolding among young American men, as
many of them see no good future for themselves, as they do not fit
into the most popular "favored" groups in American society.

I think that Hillary Clinton was NOT elected president, because her
strident feminism mocked unfairly, many American men. This loss
was not an artifact of American male chauvinism. And, Hillary openly
mocked religious conservatives. This drove them to vote for Trump.

I am hoping that Kamala Harris will ditch the "in-your-face" feminism of
Hillary Clinton, and will INSTEAD appeal to the Moderate Middle of
American voters, without appealing to the angry and offensive aspects
of some of American feminism.

We don't need damaging sexism perpetuated in America. It has already
done a lot of damage to the future of Gen-Z men.

Apalachee High School: Multiple shooting victims at high school, one person arrested

BARROW COUNTY, Ga. - Multiple people were injured Wednesday morning during a shooting at Apalachee High School in Winder in Barrow County, according to Barrow County Sheriff Judd Smith. One person has also been taken into custody.
The Barrow County Sheriff's Office told FOX 5 Atlanta that multiple law enforcement agencies and emergency responders responded to reports of an active shooter around 10:30 a.m.
FOX 5 Atlanta also received multiple phone calls and messages about the shooting.
SkyFOX 5 flew over the scene and observed multiple police cars and ambulances at the school. SkyFOX 5 also observed students and staff on the football field of the school and saw at least two people being loaded into a medical helicopter and ambulance.
Shortly before 11:30 a.m., the school told FOX News that the school had been cleared and students were being released to their families. The school also said that buses would take home any students who did not have transportation.
Winder-Barrow High School was briefly placed on hard lockdown, but there was no threat to the students at that high school.
The FBI and Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) have confirmed they responded to the shooting and will be involved in the investigation.

The Dominant Party in American Politics

The media assumes that candidates nominated for President by the Democratic Party have a good chance of being elected. I’m not so sure. My reading of American Presidential elections is that a decisive majority of voters almost always vote Republican. The only time a Democrat is elected is when a Republican Administration really, really, really screws up. ( … and sometimes not even then. ) This has been true since 1968.

I say this without prejudice. In my view, every Republican Administration since 1960 has been a disaster. One factor disguising Republican Presidential dominance is that the Democrats seemed to have unchallenged control of the House of Representatives, at least until 1994.

In 1968, Richard Nixon flopped into office with 42% of the popular vote. His opponent, Democrat Hubert Humphrey, also received about 42% of the vote. George Wallace and the American Independent Party received about 17% of the vote. An overwhelming percentage of the voters voted for a candidate that was conservative or reactionary. Despite many controversies, Richard Nixon was re-elected in 1972. The press told us that it was a landslide.

The dark underbelly of the Nixon Administration came to the surface in Nixon’s second term. Vice President Agnew was forced to resign in 1973, and Nixon resigned to avoid impeachment in 1974. Gerald Ford, who had been the ranking Republican in Congress, became the first un-elected President. The last American forces in Vietnam made an extremely awkward exit when South Vietnam fell in May of 1975. Against this background, Democrat Jimmy Carter was elected President in 1976.

Although incumbents are re-elected more often than not, Jimmy Carter was unpopular and Ronald Reagan was elected in 1980. If you remember the 1980 election, several candidates held a debate in Des Moines, but Reagan boycotted the debate. Then he went on to make gaffe and gaffe on the campaign trail. He was elected anyway.

Ronald Reagan had promised to balance the budget but Congress did not accept all of the enormous spending cuts he asked for. Instead of balancing the budget, the Reagan Administration piled up the largest deficits in history, at that time. In 1984, Reagan was effortlessly re-elected. In 1988, Reagan’s Vice-President, George H.W. Bush, likewise coasted to victory.

In the early years of the Reagan Administration the Environmental Protection Agency, EPA, was virtually dismantled. It was shut down by its Administrator, Ann Gorsuch, later Ann Gorsuch Burford, who did go to prison briefly. She has never apologized for her crimes. Through much of the Reagan Administration, Secretary of the Interior James Watt was known for incredible attacks on the environment. None of this hindered twelve years of Republican dominance.

In 1992, Ross Perot and the Reform Party split the conservative vote and Bill Clinton became President. In 1996, Ross Perot/Reform made a weaker showing but still split the conservative vote and Bill Clinton was elected again.

In 2000 is a peculiar case. We still don’t know for sure who would have won if voted had been counted in the usual way. The Supreme Court decreed that George W. Bush would be President. In 2004, Bush won the election. Following the September 11 attacks, the Bush Administration invaded Afghanistan, which was justified. The Bush Administration also invaded Iraq. Vice President Cheney and other Bush advisers had wanted to invade Iraq all along. The people accepted it because they thought the invasion had something to do with the September 11 attacks. By 2008, it had become clear that the Bush Administration had started two wars, one for dubious reasons, and botched both of them.

Against this background, Democrat Barack Obama was elected President in 2008 and again in 2012. Obama may have been re-elected through the power of the incumbency or simply because the Afghan War and Iraq War were still going on. It was impossible to forget either one of them.

In 2016, Donald Trump, running as a Republican, was elected President. Trump is the most undiplomatic, most abrasive, person ever to run for President, let alone win. Trump had never held elective office before, or run for office before. Apparently voters were mesmerized by his image as a billionaire, a financial wizard. They knew little about his past.

Running against an abrasive Republican President who knew little of the norms of government, and nothing about foreign policy, Joe Biden was elected President in 2020.

Overall, it looks like the only time a Democrat gets elected President is after a Republican President is forced to resign, the Republicans enter a disastrous war, or if a third party splits the conservative vote. My advice to the Democrats is that there is something seriously wrong with their strategy. Most Americans do not like their foreign policy or their domestic policy, so the Democrats need to rethink on both fronts.

Mortality

Our lifespan is finite, and neither wishing nor worrying can extend it. Medicine may prolong it somewhat, and good, healthy food may contribute as well. Ultimately, however, death is certain. The number of our days is known to God, not to us.

Christians anticipate a resurrection and eternal life, but the nature of that existence remains a mystery. What would it mean to outlast a mountain, a planet, or even a solar system? How would one spend their days, continually finding meaningful thoughts, words, and actions? Will technology, art, and science persist after the resurrection? It's a mystery.

Maduro declares Christmas in October amid Venezuela’s post-election strife

“It’s September and it already feels like Christmas. So this year – as a way of paying tribute to you and thanking you – I’m going to decree that Christmas be brought forward to 1 October,” Maduro proclaimed during one of his frequent TV appearances.

Venezuela’s authoritarian leader, who is facing what experts call the greatest political challenge of his turbulent 11-year rule, promised all Venezuelans a Christmas of “peace, happiness and security”.

In a show of solidarity with Dictator Maduro, german supermarkts are already selling christmas sweets.

By the Mercies of God

“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (Romans 12:1-2 ESV)

If our faith in Jesus Christ is biblical faith, authored by Jesus Christ, persuaded of God, and gifted to us by God, and not of our own doing – not of the will nor of the flesh of man – then we will be followers of Christ, his sheep, who listen to him and who obey him. Our lives will be surrendered to Jesus Christ to do his will and to live out the lives that he has for us to live in the callings that we have received from him, and not to please ourselves.

We will be those who have been crucified with Christ in death to sin and raised with Christ to walk in newness of life in him, no longer as slaves to sin, but now as slaves to God and to his righteousness. Our lives will no longer be our own to be lived out however we want to live them, for we were bought back for God (redeemed) by the blood of Christ shed for us on that cross to deliver us out of our lives of slavery to sin so that we can now honor God with our lives and with our bodies – all in the power of God within us.

But we are still human beings who live in flesh bodies who may be tempted to fall back into sin or to follow the ways of the world and of the flesh, for the influences out there in the gatherings of the church and in the world are enormous, especially in the times we now live when we are being bombarded with media of all sorts 24/7. And it can be so easy to slip and to fall back into the ways of living to please the flesh if we are not careful, and if our hearts are not guarded, and if we are not fully committed to Christ.

So we need to hear encouragements like this to remind us of why we are here, and of why Jesus gave his life up for us on that cross, and what it means to believe in Jesus Christ and to be his servants and messengers and not to please ourselves. For if our faith in Christ is biblical and genuine, our lives are to be surrendered to Jesus Christ to now live for him, and to do his will, and to follow him in walks of obedience to his commands in holy living.

And that is what it means if our lives are given over to the Lord as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable to God. We do not consider our lives to be our own to be lived however we want, but our goal is to please our Lord in whatever we do. For to be holy is to be separate (unlike, different) from the world because our lives are now being conformed by God to the likeness of character of Jesus Christ. We are now becoming more and more like Jesus and less and less like who we were when we lived in the flesh.

So, what this means for us in our day-to-day living is that we will consider our Lord in all that we do and we will inquire of him if we have any concern about whether or not we should go a particular direction. Our minds and our hearts will be open and receptive to hearing him speak truth to our hearts 24/7, and we will not shut him out just so we can do what we want to do. And we will be guided by him in our day-to-day living so that we are following in his footsteps and so that we are no longer going our own way.

And now this is our spiritual worship of God. Worship is not just gathering together with a bunch of people and singing songs and raising our hands and getting all emotional, at least not in itself. For we can do all that and never truly worship God. True biblical worship of God, although it may include singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, is surrender of our lives to Jesus Christ on his altar of sacrifice, denying self, dying daily to sin, by the Spirit, and walking in the ways of the Lord, according to his commands.

So, we are no longer to be conformed to the ways of this sinful world. We should no longer be participating in anything that is immoral, evil, wicked, deceptive, and anything that is contrary to God and to his will and purpose for our lives and that robs us of our relationships with Jesus Christ and us working for the Lord and that keeps us entertaining and pleasing the flesh, instead. So many professers of faith in Jesus Christ are not much different from those who make no professions of faith, and this should not be!

So, if we have drifted from what God has called us to do, and if we are being captivated once again by the sinful pleasures of the flesh or by what the world is offering us in the way of entertainment that is contrary to God’s moral values for our lives, and with regard to what our minds should be set on, then we need some more transforming of our minds back to the ways of the Lord and away from the desires of the flesh so that we can live lives fully pleasing to the Lord, and so we can discern and do the will of God.

My Sheep

An Original Work / June 24, 2012
Based off John 10:1-30 NIV

My sheep hear me. They know me.
They listen to my voice and obey.
I call them and lead them.
They know my voice, so they follow me.
They will never follow strangers.
They will run away from them.
The voice of a stranger they know not;
They do not follow him.

So, I tell you the truth that
I am the gate, so you enter in.
Whoever does enter
Will find forgiveness and will be saved.
Nonetheless whoever enters
Not by the gate; other way,
He is the thief and a robber.
Listen not, the sheep to him.

Oh, I am the Good Shepherd,
Who laid his own life down for the sheep.
I know them. They know me.
They will live with me eternally.
The thief only comes to steal and
Kill and to destroy the church.
I have come to give you life that
You may have it to the full…

They know my voice, so they follow me.

Think with Sober Judgment

“For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.” (Romans 12:3-8 ESV)

Not one of us should be egotistical and boastful and prideful, thinking that we are better than we really are. But we are also not to be those who are continually putting ourselves down, convinced that we can never accomplish anything good in this life, and that we can never be who God intended for us to be, or that we are doomed to remain where we are in a stalemate, not really going forward or backward. But we are to think of ourselves with realistic judgment in the eyes of the Lord, giving God the glory for all that is good within us and for all the good that is accomplished through us.

And with regard to the body of Christ and the gifts of the Spirit, all gifts of God are given to us by God and are not of our own doing, so we should never have cause to take credit ever for anything good that God is accomplishing through us for his glory and purposes. Credit should be given where credit is due. So if one of us has more gifts than another we should not boast as though we somehow did this ourselves. We did not! We can certainly share our testimonies of God’s callings on our lives and how God is using us, but as an encouragement to others, not to puff ourselves up.

Now the body of Christ, the true church, is made up of all who are of genuine faith in Jesus Christ across the globe. We are the universal body of Christ, one church which meets in many different locations. We are those who have, by faith in Jesus Christ, been crucified with Christ in death to sin, and raised with Christ to walk in newness of life in him, no longer to live as slaves to sin, but now as slaves to God and to his righteousness. So sin is no longer our master but Jesus Christ is our Lord and Master, and our will is to do the will of God for our lives, under his guidance and in his power.

And as members of the universal body of Christ we have all been given gifts of the Holy Spirit which are spiritual gifts and ministries. And we have all been assigned our specific body parts by God. But we have to be paying attention to listen to the Spirit within us showing us what our body parts are and where our areas of giftedness of the Spirit are, as well. But we must be those who are walking according to the Spirit and not according to the flesh, in order to be in tune with God so that we can hear his voice and know what his calling is upon our individual lives. And then we need to obey him.

Now we are not all going to have the same body parts or the same giftedness. And even if more than one of us has the gift of teaching, for example, we are not all going to teach in exactly the same way. But we should all be diligent in doing our best to make certain that we are correctly handling the word of truth, to the best of our understanding, so that we are not guilty of passing along lies which we were taught. So we should be students of the Scriptures who study and teach them in their appropriate context so that we remain true to the Scriptures and are not led astray.

Now if we have less and others have more, we should not be jealous of them. But we should praise the Lord for what he has given to us and trust that if he wants us to have more that he will be the one to initiate it, and that we will know that this is coming from him and not from within ourselves. We should always be content with whatever we are given by God and do our best, in the power of God, to do what God has called us to do in ministry to the body of Christ and to the people of this world. And not one of us should be neglectful to fulfill the roles to which God has called us.

So many of our present day “churches,” though, are not functioning as the biblical body of Christ. Largely what we have are large gatherings of people (Christian and non-Christian) who attend weekly services in a building called “church.” A typical gathering will usually begin with a praise band (mostly keyboard, guitars, drums, and singers) leading in some worship songs which may or may not be biblically sound in doctrine. And this is generally followed by announcements and an offering and then with one man (the preacher) giving the only sermon for the day. Then the people go home.

This “body” is, therefore, lopsided, and the gatherings are not fulfilling the purpose for which we are supposed to gather together as the body of Christ, which is for our mutual encouragement in the Spirit of God via the use of our individual spiritual gifts and body parts. For if this is the essence of our gatherings, then where do the gifts of the Spirit happen? How do the individual members use their gifts of prophecy, service, teaching, exhorting, contributing, leading, and showing mercy, if only a few select people do all the ministering while the rest of the body sits as spectators?

So, we all need to go back to what the New Testament teaches with regard to all of us functioning in the body parts assigned to us by God and all of us utilizing the Spiritual gifts given to us by God within the gatherings of the church, the body of Christ, for our mutual encouragement. For we are to be encouraging and exhorting one another and urging one another in our walks of faith toward obedience to Christ and the forsaking of our sins. And we are to be speaking the truth in love to one another so that we are not led astray by false teachings and so that we do not get trapped by sin’s deceitfulness.

Harris Accused of ‘Insane’ Accent Change As X Users Compare Footage From Two Rallies on the Same Day

Vice President Kamala Harris is facing criticism and mockery as she is accused of dramatically switching her accent in public settings just hours apart.
Harris held two rallies on Monday, and users on X accused her of using two dramatically different accents.
Trump campaign adviser Alex Bruesewitz shared the videos from the two different rallies, and wrote, “[bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] listen to how Kamala Harris says ’64 days’ in Detroit vs. how she says it in Pittsburgh just a couple hours apart.”
“The accent change is insane,” he added.

Daniel 7:9-10 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. 10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousand ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened. Rev 20:11

Rev 14:14 having I looked, and behold a white cloud (throne), and upon the cloud one sat like unto the son of man (Rev 1:13-17), on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

Rev 20:11 I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

The 1000-year Kingdom Temple

Rev 7:15b and (Trumpet Tribulation Saints) serve (Thousand-year Kingdom Rev 3:12 7:9,10) him (*God) day and night in his (God) (Thousand-year Kingdom) temple:

The Throne: see Rev 4:2,3, 5:1, 6:6, Rev 14:14, 20:11

*The Lamb: see Rev 5:12,13, 6:16, 7:17 12:11, 13:8 14:1 21:21,23 22:21

Personal Opinion: The Trumpet Tribulation Saints assist Newborn Jesus as Ministering Priests attending unto Gentiles seeking forgiveness in the Temple established upon Thousand-year Kingdom Earth.

Note: The Trumpet Tribulation Saints (Rev 7:9, 10, 15-17) serve the Magistrative Omnipotent Being (Rev 5:5,6) continually in the Thousand-year Kingdom Temple (Ezek 40-48 Zech 3:9 Isa 2:2 Zech 4:9,10 14:20,21 Ezek 40-48).

The Thousand-year Kingdom Temple (Ezek 40-48)

Rev 3:12 Him that overcomes will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he will go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, that is new Jerusalem, that comes down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

The temple of the Lord: Isa 2:2 it will happen in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD’S house will be established in the top of the mountains and will be exalted above the hills; and all nations will flow unto it. Dan 7:27 Zech 4:6-10

Isa 66:20 they will bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, says the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.

Micah 4:1 But in the last days it will happen that the mountain of the house of the LORD will be established on the top of the mountains, and it will be exalted above the hills; and people will flow unto it.

The Valley of the Lord Zech. 14:4 his feet will stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, that is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives will cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there will be a very great valley; and half of the mountain will remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

The fountain of the Lord Joel 3:18 it will happen in that day, that the mountains will drop down new wine, and the hills will flow with milk, and all the rivers of Judah will flow with waters, and a fountain will come forth of the house of the LORD, and will water the valley of [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]tim. Zech 14:20,21

The predominance of the Lord Micah 4:7 I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD will reign over them in mount Zion from hence forth, even for ever. Rev 20:6

Zech. 14:20-21 In that day will there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD'S house will be like the bowls before the altar. [21] Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah will be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice will come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there will be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.

Rev 20:9 they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them

God dwells among Trumpet Tribulation Saints

Rev 7:15c and he (Newborn Jesus) that sits on the throne (White Vapor Seat of Power) will dwell (Thousand-year Kingdom) among them (Trumpet Tribulation Saints).

The Throne: see Rev 4:2,3, 5:1, 6:6, Rev 14:14, 20:11

The Lamb: see Rev 5:12,13, 6:16, 7:17 12:11, 13:8 14:1 21:21,23 22:21

Personal Opinion: Newborn Jesus retaining Authoritative Dominion in the Middle of the Seven-candlesticks identifies Newborn Jesus dwelling among Trumpet Tribulation Saints upon Kingdom Earth.

Note: Apostle John utilizing his Authoritative Position discloses Newborn Jesus firmly incorporated (Rev 5:1, 13, 6:16, 7:10 14:14, 20:11) upon the White Vapor Sit of Authoritative Dominion (Rev 3:21, 4:2b, 14:14, 20:11) dwells (Rev 1:12,13 3:4,5 {Rev 21:3-5}) among Trumpet Tribulation Saints (Rev 1:12,13 ,7:9-17) upon Kingdom Earth.

God Dwells Among the Trumpet Tribulation Saints During the Thousand-year Kingdom.

Zech. 8:2-6 Thus says the LORD of hosts; I was jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I was jealous for her with great fury. 3 Thus says the LORD; I am returned unto Zion and will dwell amid Jerusalem: and Jerusalem will be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD hosts the holy mountain. 4 Thus says the LORD of hosts; There will yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Jerusalem, and every man with his staff in his hand for very age. 5 the streets of the city will be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof. 6 Thus says the LORD of hosts; If it be marvelous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in these days, should it also be marvelous in my eyes? says the LORD of hosts.

Zech. 14:20, 21 In that day will there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD'S house will be like the bowls before the altar. 21 Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah will be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice will come and take of them, and see therein: and in that day there will be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.

Rev 1:12, 13 I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; 13 And amid the seven candlesticks one like unto the son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

Rev 3:4-5 You have a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. 5 He that overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

Rev 7:15c continues

Rev 20:4-6 I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and that had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a Thousand-years. 5 But the rest of the dead did not live again until the Thousand-years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he that has part in the first resurrection: on such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him a Thousand-years.

Good news about our faith being tested, no matter how severe...

Ever feel like this, believers? I am right now!

Notice that 1) Satan has to ask Jesus permission to test us, 2) how severe the test is, 3) Jesus already knows the outcome, and 4) Jesus turns it all on Satan's head - the experience giving us ammo to then strengthen each other!

Luke 22:31-32 NKJV

"And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”

And... this trial is not unique to us, but happens to all believers, so we should take comfort that it isn't happening for no reason - which would truly tempt us to despair. And there is a further blessing - we will behold Him in His glory!

1 Peter 4:12-13 NKJV

"Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you."

God bless us all who abide in Christ!

2 questions about end times

1st question... Will the 3rd Temple be re-built before, or after, the rapture?

2nd question... why doesn't Israel just go ahead and mow down the dome of the rock and get on with rebuilding already? Are they that scared of the surrounding muslim nations? One would think from their victories over larger armies in the past it would produce more confidence in pursuing their destiny, no?

Thanks

White House falsely claims grocery prices have ‘come down’ under Biden — while Harris revives price-gouging claim

WASHINGTON — President Biden’s chief spokesperson falsely said Tuesday that grocery prices have “come down” recently — when federal data show they cost 21.1% more than when Biden took office in 2021, including a persistent 1.1.% bump over the past year.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre made the unfactual claim when asked by a reporter if Biden agrees with Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign-trail argument that “price-gouging continues” with groceries.

21%? That looks like more fudged Bidenomic math to me.
