Trump officials accidentally text Atlantic journalist about military strikes in apparent security breach

Jeffrey Goldberg penned a first-person account of getting a connection request from what appeared to be Trump's National Security Advisor Michael Waltz on March 11 on Signal, a popular encrypted messaging service used by journalists and government officials. He accepted and was then added to a chat group called "Houthi PC Small Group," where he proceeded to see a series of top Trump officials discuss what turned out to be an upcoming attack on the Houthis, in what critics are calling a massive breach of national security.

Goldberg laid out how 18 members were listed in the group, including Waltz, Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, CIA Director John Ratcliffe and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles. What ensued in the following days was a discussion about attacking the Houthis, an Iran-backed terrorist group that's wreaked havoc on ships in the Red Sea and disrupted traffic through the critical Suez Canal.

The principals in the chat raised various concerns about the timing of the strikes, whether it was prudent to wait, and the security of the operation. Vance's account expressed skepticism about the attack, saying at one point he thought it was a mistake, and at another saying, "I just hate bailing Europe out again," alluding to European trade having far more skin in the game with the Suez Canal than the United States.

Schumer admits to politicizing the Judiciary

After defending his vote for the Republican spending bill during a Wednesday interview on PBS’s NewsHour, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) shifted to what he called some “good news.” He expressed immense pride in his party’s appointment of 235 progressive judges during his tenure as majority leader. Just as Democrats had intended, the party’s efforts are now yielding results. He said:

Biggles Flies Again

It seems "The Atlantic's" editor in chief Jeffrey Goldberg was included in discussions between the US "most senior security advisers" about the pending attacks on the Houthis.

Something that irritated me was the Biggles Flies Again attitudes of some in the group.

For Goldberg, the security breach continued. After the bombing, Waltz celebrated by posting three emojis — a fist, an American flag and fire. There had indeed been fire — Yemen's health authorities say the bombing killed at least 53 people.

Witkoff was not to be outdone, and, Goldberg wrote, sent five emojis to the group: two sets of hands praying, a flexed bicep and two American flags.

I suppose one advantage is that if the Trump administration decides to launch World War III we might be able to read about it in the newspaper before it happens, complete with emojis.

AG Pam Bondi issues stern warning as DOGE uncovers 'tremendous amount of fraud'

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi issued a stern warning to those engaged in government fraud at the most recent Cabinet meeting on Monday.

Speaking with President Donald Trump present at the meeting, Bondi thanked Tesla CEO Elon Musk for uncovering "fraud, waste and abuse" through the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) initiative.

"A lot of waste and abuse, but there is a tremendous amount of fraud," Bondi began. "And, Elon, thank you for your partnership. Thank you for your team. You have uncovered so much fraud in our government."

Bondi then revealed that an internal task force is involved with bringing those accused of fraud to justice.

The ignorance of Witkoff

Believe it or not in his interview with Carlson, Witkoff couldn't remember the names of all the regions or oblasts in Ukraine that Russia have invaded and occupied - well they've got funny foreign names. Witkoff is only the chief negotiator with Russia after all. He also seems to think the sham elections held in those regions were free and fair - maybe Putin told him that! Still Putin is such a nice guy he even got "the leading Russian artist" to paint a "beautiful" portrait of Trump that Witkoff could take back to the White House. Might be a good idea to check it for bugs (electronic not insects).

Rosie O'Donnell apologizes to prime minister after causing scene weeks into stay

Rosie O'Donnell continues to comment on President Donald Trump following her move to Ireland.

Last week, O'Donnell appeared on Ireland's "Late Late Show," where she discussed her recent decision to move out of the U.S., her longstanding feud with Trump and more.

At one point, she touched on Trump's comment about her to Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin during his visit to the White House earlier this month, admitting she wrote Martin an apology.

The Ten Commandments are the Covenant, did you know?

The Bible does present the Ten Commandments as the covenant itself. In Exodus 34:28, it is written:

"So he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread nor drank water. And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments."
"So He declared to you His covenant which He commanded you to perform, the Ten Commandments; and He wrote them on two tablets of stone (Deuteronomy 4:13, NKJV)

This clearly states that the Ten Commandments are the covenant. When we look at Jeremiah 31:31-33, we see God speaking of a new covenant, but notice what He says:

"Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the Lord.
But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people."

This passage does not say the law itself would change. Instead, it tells us that instead of being written on stone, it would be written in our hearts and minds. That means the law remains the same, but its place changes, from external tablets to internal conviction. This is why we see in the Gospels of John, Matthew, Luke and Mark, Jesus teaching the commandments and magnifying them.

Now, let's connect this with the Ark of the Covenant. In Deuteronomy 10:1-5, God commanded Moses to place the two tablets of the Ten Commandments inside the Ark:
"At that time the Lord said to me, ‘Hew for yourself two tablets of stone like the first, and come up to Me on the mountain, and make yourself an ark of wood... Then I turned and came down from the mountain, and put the tablets in the ark which I had made; and there they are, just as the Lord commanded me.’"

This shows the special place of the Ten Commandments, inside the Ark, symbolizing their central role in the covenant. But what about the rest of the law? In Deuteronomy 31:24-26, Moses wrote the book of the law and placed it beside the Ark:

"So it was, when Moses had completed writing the words of this law in a book, when they were finished, that Moses commanded the Levites, who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord, saying: ‘Take this Book of the Law, and put it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there as a witness against you.’”

This distinction is important. The Ten Commandments were placed inside the Ark, showing their eternal, unchanging nature as the foundation of the covenant. The rest of the law was placed beside the Ark, acting as a witness.

Now, when Jeremiah speaks of the law being written in our hearts, he is speaking of the same law—the Ten Commandments. The "new" part of the covenant is not that the law changes but that God Himself ensures it is within us, guiding us from within rather than being an external set of rules. This aligns perfectly with how Jesus upheld and fulfilled the law, always pointing back to love for God and neighbor as the foundation of obedience (Matthew 22:36-40).

So, the New Covenant is not about replacing the Ten Commandments but about making them part of who we are, just as they were placed inside the Ark.

Blessings

There Should Be A new Role For Trump, Cutting And Advising On Military Matters; Or On Technology

I will be clear: Musk is, by far, the best mind that Trump will accept to make or advise on major changes to the Defense, Homeland Security on matters of technology.
==
Name the top 5 people that Trump has advising him on issues of the military and space.

Name the top 5 people who can advise Trump on cuts to the Department of Defense, and to Homeland Security.

Name the top 5 people who can advise Trump on modernizing the federal government in matters of technology and computers.
==============
Musk could be the best cabinet officer over either of these. However, his best role IMO is to be the special advisor on both, certainly after the reconciliation bill is signed.
=============
One should understand that Musk has wanted to cut any funding for new fighter jets for some time. Any new war will be fought with drone fighters. And these departments are the top two targets for eliminating waste.
===============
The alternative role for Trump would as Technoloy Czar, to head an effort to modernize technology and computers in federal government agencies.

Immigrant women say they were held "like animals" in ICE detention facility reserved for men; two men dead

Chained for hours on a prison bus without access to food, water or a toilet. Told by guards to urinate on the floor. Held "like sardines in a jar," as many as 27 women in a small holding cell. Sleeping on a concrete floor. Getting one three-minute shower over three or four days in custody.

"We smelled worse than animals," one detainee said. "More girls were coming every day. We were screaming, begging them, 'You can’t let them come.' They didn’t have space."

Four women [who talked to us] were held in February at the Krome North Processing Center in Miami – a detention center reserved for men. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement took the women into custody on alleged immigration violations, but none has a criminal background, according to a review of law enforcement records. They shared their experiences with USA TODAY on condition of anonymity, fearing retaliation by the government because they are still detained.

The allegations come after two men at Krome died in custody on Jan. 23and Feb. 20.

ICE reported holding 46,269 people in custody in mid-March, well above the agency's detention capacity of 41,500 beds.

Krome is one of 130 ICE detention centers nationwide. Many of the facilities are privately run, including Krome, which is managed by Akima Infrastructure Protection under a $685 million contract. The company didn't respond to requests for comment.

[ICE spox] “These allegations are not in keeping with ICE policies, practices and standards of care.”

Another short story, multiple choice

I'm kind of wondering if it's a running gag for Adrienna to get inconvenienced by somebody when she sets foot inside a Walmart supercenter.

This story has multiple choice, although only one of them is canon to the chronology I'm writing.

It was the year 2011. Adrienna, was in a Rush gymnasium in Walker Springs, in Knoxville, Tennessee. She had just finished the last of her weight exercises, and was now headed for the aerobics training room.

Adrienna was 25 years old. She was average female height. She was slim, but extremely athletic. She was very profoundly trained in the martial art of Ninjutsu, and far more skilled than a typical ninja. Her hair was long, straight, and naturally golden. For the duration of her exercises, it was tied back in a bun. She was 95% white and 5% native American. The native American aspect came from her mother's side of the family. Adrienna was dressed in a black one-piece fully body unitard. On her feet, she was wearing white socks and white fitness shoes.

Adrienna entered the aerobics training room, and walked to the center of the room. She stood still with her eyes closed and her fists tightly clenched. Tension built inside her. She then vented the resulting rage and every other emotion she was feeling into her moves, which she executed with profound grace, precision, and power. Although her mentor, Grandmaster Hiroshi, had always taught her to always maintain a peaceful state of mind, all the warfare and bereavements she had recently been through made that a very hard thing to do. She practiced intensely until she was too tired to continue. The emotional pains in her did not let up though. She left the room, and went to the locker room. She went to the locker she had picked out, turned the combination on the lock she had left on the door. She retrieved her beige khaki pants that she had left in the locker, and put them back on over the lower half of her unitard. She closed the locker's door, and put the lock in her left pants pocket. She pulled her phone out of that same pocket, checked for any missed calls or messages, and found none, so she put the phone back. Finally, she removed the hair tie from her hair, and put it in the same pocket as her lock and cell phone. In her right pocket was her wallet and keys. She then headed out the front door.

Adrienna was on her way to her motorcycle, a Harley-Davidson Fat Boy. She was near her motorcyle when memories of her experiences in Afghanistan swarmed everywhere in her head, including things that now had her riddled with guilt. "Please, God, help me!" she whimpered, clutching her head with both hands. "Please!" she continued. She then looked at her surroundings; no war battles, just a section of the civilian sector. She wasn't sure about trying to drive home in this emotional state. She felt it would be a good idea to at least try to let of some emotional steam by taking a walk.
"Jesus died for everyone's sins," Adrienna thought to herself, "Surely, that includes mine. I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior."
Adrienna started to cry, but pulled herself together.

Adrienna walked west, to Walker Springs Road, and went north, over interstate, and turned right onto the left shoulder of Walbrook Drive. She went east until she came across the Walmart supercenter. She remembered the time she took an aimless walk inside the Walmart in Fort Myers, and had an argument with a Bible-thumping fundamentalist in the parking lot. What were the chances of Adrienna encountering another one this time, in a different place?

Adrienna went to the store, and entered through the "home and pharmacy" entrance. The last time she had ever set foot in this store was back in 1992, with her parents. She was 6 years old at the time. This store was bigger than the one in Fort Myers. Adrienna explored the place. She came across the alcoholic beverages section, but stayed away from it, because of her staunch beliefs against alcohol use.
"Hey!" a voice called out.
Adrienna ignored the voice, and continued on.
"HEY!!!!!" the same voice angrily yelled loud enough to echo all over the store.
Adrienna turned to where the voice was coming from, and saw a thuggish black woman looking angrily at her. The woman was wearing a black t-shirt, on which was sloppily written with bleach, "BLACKS RULE".
"Where the Jack Daniel's at?!" the woman asked in a hostile tone.
"I don't know," said Adrienna, "I don't work for Walmart."
"Well, get somebody who does!" the Jack Daniel's seeker demanded.

What do you think Adrienna should do?

A: Obey the Jack Daniel's seeker, and seek an employee
B: Offer to seek an employee for a monetary price
C: Directly refuse the Jack Daniel's seeker's demand
D: Pretend to seek an employee, and sneak away
E: Tell the Jack Daniel's seeker why she shouldn't consume alcohol

Trump’s Defense Secretary Accidentally Texted War Plans to The Atlantic: ‘I Didn’t Think It Could Be Real,’ Editor Says

Pete Hegseth, President Trump’s secretary of defense, inadvertently included the top editor of The Atlantic in a Signal text chat group revealing the U.S.’s attack plans on Houthi rebels in Yemen earlier this month, according to the magazine.
The Atlantic’s editor in chief, Jeffrey Goldberg, reported in a nearly 3,500-word story published Monday that the most senior national-security leaders of the United States included him in a group chat on Signal about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. “I didn’t think it could be real,” he wrote. “Then the bombs started falling.” HERE

I will tell you this, from Trump telling Russians top secrets in the White house causing Israel scrambling to remove assets they had from out Russia, to Trump telling a foreign nationalist top nuclear sub top secrets at Mar A Largo, everyone with a clandestine spying program are smiling from ear to ear. Not one that, why are air strike plans being discussed on apps sold to the pubic? This is the utter incompetence warned about come Pete ol boy.

Top Trump officials accidentally shared war plans with media

Senior national security officials coordinated airstrikes against Houthi targets in Yemen earlier this month using an unsecure group chat which accidentally included the top editor of The Atlantic, a move that appears to have broken a host of federal laws and protocols.

In a story released Monday titled “The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans,” Editor-in-Chief Jeffrey Goldberg said he was added to the group on Signal — an open-source, privacy-focused messaging app — earlier this month by someone identifying themself as Michael Waltz, President Donald Trump’s national security adviser.

The conversation — which eventually included messages from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, among others — included “operational details of forthcoming strikes on Yemen, including information about targets, weapons the U.S. would be deploying, and attack sequencing,” according to Goldberg.

“The information contained in them, if they had been read by an adversary of the United States, could conceivably have been used to harm American military and intelligence personnel, particularly in the broader Middle East, Central Command’s area of responsibility,” Goldberg wrote.

In a statement National Security Council spokesman Brian Hughes said that “the message thread that was reported appears to be authentic, and we are reviewing how an inadvertent number was added to the chain.”

Leftist ‘faith leaders’ twisting Bible to support wasteful gov't spending

We’re seeing a society become unhinged … again. Trump has quite a way with the radical Left. They absolutely hate him and DOGE, and they lose it by the hour. Now they’re burning Teslas (so much for climate care), raging in hotel lobbies and on college campuses to defend Hamas supporters, and cursing up a storm at rallies.

It's not just paid activists and politicians jumping into the resistance ring; it’s leftist “faith leaders” too. Recently, nearly 100 “progressive” religious folks signed a letter demanding an unbiblical “Return to Jesus.” The Lent letter demanded that hundreds of millions of dollars of wasted taxpayer dollars continue to flow to (leftist) NGOs.

Funny. I don’t recall the Bible ever advocating that government fund the Church. I don’t recall Jesus demanding the government take care of the poor and the needy and ensure justice for those being crushed. Oh, wait, that’s because that’s the Church’s job. But a social justice worldview sees forced taxpayer funding of (leftist) faith-based organizations (despite massive taxpayer fraud and little to no accountability) as good stewardship.

Trump may be trying the Kissinger move trying to reward them to split them from China. It will not work!

Trump's trying to make a deal - but he's the oldest President America has had - and he's in his last term.
(The oldest! When Trump took office, he was nearly half a year older than Biden was!)
He'll be gone in 4 years. Putin will not.

IF Trump is trying to bribe Putin away from China - a reverse Kissinger - it's a joke!
Putin is laughing all the way to the bank! He's getting the deal of his life - but while Trump think's he's got the best hand - he has no real cards to play.
The moment he lays them down Putin will take them and say thank you - and leave the table with his mate Xi Jinping to go take on the EU.

Here are some of Trump's cards.
He may even evacuate American soldiers from Europe's eastern nations to try and charm Putin so much Putin will 'owe' him.
And we all know how Trump values loyalty.
But Putin will just smile, thank Trump for clearing American troops out, and serving up Ukraine on a silver platter.
Then he will continue Russia's enormous sales of oil and gas to China, and enormous imports of Chinese tech and equipment.
Putin was a spy. He knows how to act! He just has to flatter Trump for 4 years - and he will have extended his empire that little bit more.
And there will be nothing Walz can do about it in his Presidency! (Just joking - I don't know the future - but I like Walz.)

But the moment Trump realises he has been played, and the world is laughing at him, and he's an old man with nothing to lose - that could be the most dangerous moment since the Cuban Missile Crisis! (Remember what dozens of psychiatrists have diagnosed him as having!)
