With all of the Democrats efforts to keep illegals in the country a stronger incentive was needed rather than just telling them they would never be allowed back in the country if they did not self-deport. If they realize they will probably eventually be caught why not take the $1000 and have a chance to file legally for citizenship?

Catholic leaders and some members of the Church hierarchy in the United States have criticized President Donald Trump for sharing an AI-generated image of himself dressed as a pope.

Trump, who frequently shares memes of himself on social media, posted the image to Truth Social on Friday after joking that he would like to be chosen as the next pope. The White House subsequently posted the photo on its official X account.

The social media posts came just days after the president said he would “like to be pope” when a reporter asked him who he hopes is selected for the papacy in the upcoming papal conclave. As part of his response to that same question, he went on to say he actually had “no preference” while also touting Cardinal Timothy Dolan of New York as a “very good” candidate.

Trump’s latest joke about the matter received pushback from some Catholic leaders, including Dolan, Bishop Robert Barron, Bishop Thomas Paprocki, and the entire New York Catholic Conference. As of the time of publication, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) had not issued a statement nor responded to a request for comment from CNA.

Hi everyone, I would greatly appreciate your prayers- I need prayer for my mother, she is on the way to the ER at the local hospital, she has had extremely dark and black stools for several days now and she is going to have it looked at. I checked online and apparently dark stools can be a sign of bleeding in the GI tract. Please pray for her healing and also for both of my parent's salvation, both are elderly and are not saved. A Maryland pastor has been charged with stealing approximately $135,000 from his church, with him allegedly using the funds on sports betting and food deliveries.

Daniel Champ, 42, is charged with theft of over $135,000 and embezzlement from First Baptist Church of Hartford County, CBS News affiliate WJZ-TV reported last week.

According to authorities, Champ is slated for a court appearance later this month and has been removed from the church’s account. He has also been ordered to leave his residence on the church’s property.

They work THE (definite article) iniquity (their handwriting being used as a basis for judging others)…and MANY are going the broad way to their own destruction of their mortal bodies. We show we know Him by the doing of His commandments....not by doing the commandments of men that are contained in their church documents that they made for themselves to keep and work. No flesh is being saved among the man-based churches.

(23) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work (THE) iniquity.

The keeping and working of the church handwritings of ordinances/dogmas over God’s commandments which are written upon our hearts and minds is lawlessness.

The mystery of THE iniquity (the handwriting) is already at work. The church handwriting is not being seen as the iniquity. It is not being identified as another "god"....an "image"...a graven image. No one in the churches of fleshly-minded men are seeing that their handwritings are the iniquity. It's a "mystery"...the shutting of the mouth ...to them.

It brings desolation to the church that is centered around it’s handwriting. The glory of God has departed from it. We find no peace there. We find the famine of hearing the Word of God in truth there. We find mortal death there.

But our Lord shall deliver the righteous out of the man-based churches…like He did with Lot. The righteous will hear the Word of Truth and believe.

“Lot” means “veil” or “covered”. The righteous must be removed from the man-based churches so that the wicked are the only ones left in them. God will not destroy the righteous with the wicked. They must be completely removed first leaving only the wicked behind in the man-based churches who will then be punished in the day of Christ…the day of judgment.

(5) Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
(6) And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

Just as Lot was removed before the destruction of Sodom, the righteous must be completely removed from all of the man-based churches. The “cover” must be removed so that the wicked are completely revealed and then dealt with by our Lord.

He who letteth will let until he be taken out of the way.

Remember how Lot “lingered” around in Sodom and had to be taken by the hand ….being mercifully removed. There will be people who will believe in the Word of Truth when they hear it but will continue to “linger” around in their man-based churches…for whatever reason.

But God in His mercy shall remove them before the day of judgment.

(7) For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
(8) And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

Lot LINGERED….he did “let”….until he was taken out of the way.

For God knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations. These temptations will come to those who linger around in the man-based churches as the wicked in them will “vex” them for believing in the Word of Truth. They will be tempted to return evil for their evil words and deeds.

(6) And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

The wicked will not receive the love of the Truth when they will hear it and be saved. They will take pleasure in their unrighteousness while they speak and do evil towards those who will hear and believe in the Word of Truth. The believers of the Truth will not return evil for their evil.

(10) And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
(11) And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
(12) That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

I'm not going to tackle the outright issue of antisemitism but I will say that it is wrong and we should love all people regardless of their ethnic or religious background as a way to bring them into the faith (as Jesus said, Christians are the salt of the world (Matt 5:13) and if we aren't doing His work, the world is going to lose its saltiness and it would be no good).

But something that really frustrates me is the term "Christ Killer" as a way to stick it to the Jews. The term, from what I know, originated as a way of basically saying that Jews have no right to exist because it was the Jews in the 1st century who wanted Jesus crucified. So to my understanding, this is a way to say that Jews are solely (or mostly) responsible for the crucifixion. Well Christianity 101 says that is false and even blasphemous.

EVERYBODY is the Christ Killer. All sinners killed Jesus, not just the Jews. The crucifixion of our Lord is a central aspect of Christianity and for a man to deny the theological significance of his own sin causing the death of Jesus, is he really a believer? Is Jesus' death an atonement for your sins after He suggested multiple times that He was going to be crucified for humanity's sake? So to call a Jew the "Christ Killer" is a way to essentially say that the Jews murdered Jesus when Jesus allowed himself to be killed for OUR sake (a snap of His fingers would have summoned 72,000 angels to come to His rescue during Jesus' arrest but He refused). Yes, there is more fault at the hands of those who personally killed him (such as Judas and the 1st century Pharisees) but 'Jews killed Jesus' in the 21st century is denying the atonement of our sins that can be found in Jesus' sacrifice for humanity.

More churches across the U.S. are embracing the use of Artificial Intelligence in their ministries, but pastors have stopped short of using the technology to prepare their sermons, data from the State of the Church Tech 2025 report shows.

The report, created by Pushpay, a leading payments and engagement solutions provider for the faith-based and nonprofit sectors, was done in partnership with Engiven and Checkr. The data for the report was collected in February from about 8,000 church leaders.

According to the report, the use of AI has increased by 80% across all ministries in churches, but only for specific tasks.

NAIROBI, Kenya — Islamists killed an evangelist after he led several Muslims to faith in Christ at an open-air event in eastern Uganda last month, sources said.

David Washume of Manga cell, Mungoma Ward, Nabumali town council in Mbale District was stabbed to death on April 3 as he made his way back from three days of preaching in the Nalondo, Buwalasi and Nabumali areas, area sources said. He was 38.

With fellow evangelist Fred Wepuhulu, Washume incorporated quranic verses and biblical references in his preaching, emphasizing the divinity of Christ and the humanity of Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, said one of those attending the event. Washume spoke in the town of Nabumali on the third day of their campaign.

Toms River’s council has begun proceedings to forcibly acquire Christ Episcopal Church’s 11‑acre campus for “public use” at a time when the 160‑year‑old parish is seeking permission to open a 17‑bed shelter for the homeless.

During a contentious April 30 meeting, the council voted 4–3 to move forward with a plan that would let the town purchase the church and five other properties — or take them by force if the owners refuse to sell — to build two new public parks, the Episcopal News Service reported.

Mayor Daniel Rodrick, an outspoken critic of homelessness in the seaside community, was quoted as saying he wants pickleball courts, a soccer field, a playground and a skate park on the church grounds.

Donald Trump says he is directing his government to reopen and expand Alcatraz, the infamous former prison on an island near San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge.

In a message on his Truth Social site on Sunday, President Trump said that "for too long America has been plagued by vicious, violent, and repeat criminal offenders".

The reopening of Alcatraz - once notorious as one of the US's toughest prisons - would serve as a "symbol of law, order, and justice," he said.

Leading Democrats said the proposal was "not a serious one". The maximum security facility, also known as The Rock, was closed in 1963 and it is currently operating as a successful tourist site.

One thing keeps rattling around in my head as I travel around Rome and chat with various folks: the sense that there is a “business as usual” air about the election of the next pope. But, overall, the mood is calm, with little in the way of alarmist histrionics. I was talking in a bookstore yesterday with a charming elderly religious sister who has lived in Rome for 40 years. She summed up her attitude toward the conclave, and that of her fellow sisters, as marked by a simple curiosity rather than any sense of apocalyptic dread should the wrong person be elected.

I know that this encounter provides only anecdotal evidence for my claim and is a one-case induction to a rather sweeping generality. But it did confirm for me that my impressions of a “business as usual” mentality as the conclave approaches are largely accurate. The cardinals are in town doing the same pre-conclave cardinal-type things that they have always done, and the Sistine Chapel is being prepared for the big event. And the usual pre-conclave media speculation about the leading candidates is predictably following the same boilerplate narrative of ecclesial factions in the argot of secular political analysis.

Business as usual. And perhaps that is as it should be. After all, the ecclesial status quo is to be preferred over revolutionary chaos, and we have the words of our Lord who promised that the gates of Hell will not prevail against the Church. So why worry? There is also the principle of ex opere operato, which assures us that no matter our sins or the sins of priests, the sacraments will always be valid because their integrity is vouchsafed by Christ. Popes come and popes go, our sins will wax and wane will-nilly in various ways, but the sacraments guarantee that the Church will remain in its essence One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic.

So I repeat, why worry?

Trump also ordered the FBI, the Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security to help get Alcatraz reopened.

If these judges are still going to delay the deportation of the process we need prisons like Alcatraz to hold violent criminals.

I'm trying to read more into Gods word and one of the things I'm trying to study is the judgement seat of Christ. My question is how is the judgement seat of Christ different from the great white throne of judgement? What I have read and maybe heard is the judgement seat of Christ is for believers and has to do with what we have done in our bodies good or bad (2 Corinthians 5:10) and the great white throne of judgement is for unbelievers but how do we know this? What has led to the belief? What is the evidence in the bible for it? Thanks.

A gift from the Lord this morning, for all of us.

Sitting here and saw a dove land and sit on the railing. Started recording. The dove dropped down and started eating. Then a group of sparrows all landed on the railing at once, saw the dove and dropped down and joined in. I suddenly had the thought, hey, its like Jesus has drawn in His disciples for a meal. Then a cardinal lands on the rail, and then drops down to join in.

Jesus and His disciples are drawing them in!

We have a ministry of one, brothers and sisters in Christ. The next one. Let's keep praying for God to keep bringing them to us, and He will!
