    The Body Of Christ

27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. 1 Corinthians 12:27 (KJV)

The Body Of Christ is the holy entity of Jesus Christ at the head and all believers within the body. As part of His Holy Church, as believers, we are to use our spiritual gifts to enhance the body of Christ. Using our spiritual gifts in service to God is essential to the body of Christ. Each believer's spiritual gifts are unique and equally important. We are called upon to regularly worship God, to actively serve God, to share our personal testimony with others, and to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Believers are given the new commandment from Christ to love one another as God loves us. In Christ, we are are called upon to peacefully promote truth and unity.

    Truth And Unity

25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. —Ephesians 4:25 (KJV)

    Service To God

4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. 6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. —1 Corinthians 12:4-11 (KJV)

1 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High: 2 To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night, —Psalms 92:1-2 (KJV)

Personal Testimony And Witness To Jesus Christ

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. —Romans 1:16 (KJV)

Love God Above All Else And Love Neighbors

11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another. —1 John 4:11 (KJV)

    Jesus Is LORD

We have all sinned and deserve God's judgment.

23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; —Romans 3:23 (KJV)

God, the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him. Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins. Jesus voluntarily took the punishment on the cross that we deserve. He was was buried, and rose from the dead on the third day, according to the scriptures.

6 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. —John 3:16 (KJV)

If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, "Jesus is Lord," you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven.

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. —John 14:6 (KJV)

Heavenly Father, Thank you for making us part of Your body, the body of Christ, Your Holy Church. Our desire is to be an active part of Your church by serving, sharing our faith with others, and promoting unity. Give us opportunities to accomplish these things for Your glory. Use us LORD. God's will be done. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

    About Author

Experiencing the God of Joy: By centering our lives around Christ, we can experience true joy. "According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." —Philippians 1:21
