God Tools

God is good. In His wisdom He gifted His people several tools to help us along in our walk with Himself, in Christ, through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. These tools from God enable us worship our Father in Heaven, so we may communion with Him, to praise, honor, and glorify our Heavenly Father.

Prayer

—Psalms 46:10 (KJV)
10
Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Through prayer, we spend personal time with God, speaking to Him, and hearing from Him. The Holy Spirit helps us as we are walking and talking with Jesus. He is with us, helping us through our every thought and breath, praying without ceasing, to God—the abundant supplier of all that we need. Through prayer, we can intimately call on Abba, our Father, having simple conversations, sharing our inner-most thoughts, expressions, dreams, and hope.

Praise

—2 Samuel 22:4 (KJV)
4
I will call on the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

Praise compels God to act on our behalf. Through praise we draw God as close as we want Him to be, during the time of our need, just as a child wanting their father's strength, wisdom, and guidance to help them overcome a problem or give a solution.

Worship

—Exodus 23:25 (KJV)
25
And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

Through worship, we admire God's very being, power, and magnificence. When we worship God, His Blessings will be upon us. Knowing God is behind us as we forge ahead towards His Kingdom, as well ahead of us paving the way for our journey, is a Blessing as only He can Bless.

Thanksgiving

—1 Timothy 4:4 (KJV)
4
For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:

Everything God created is good and must be received with thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is sharing with joy our union with God, in Christ, not as mere stewards, but as a family (adopted sons) and as intimately as a child can be with their father. We are thankful in God having us in His hands with care, comfort, and providence—as part of our inheritance.

Utterances

—1 Corinthians 14:2 (KJV)
2
For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.

Through our utterances, even by the groanings of our prayers when we cannot speak nor find the words, we are partakers of God's eternal plan. We partake by our language, and by Spiritual tongues, speaking hidden mysteries of the Kingdom’s dominion, prophecies, and instructions, attaining Spiritual orations, and through conversation with God, that is both private and those to be shared.

Love

—1 Corinthians 13:2 (KJV)
2
And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

God is love, and because God loves, we can love. Love overcomes all things both in this world and especially in God's Kingdom where we will be active participants throughout eternity. Love of God and of neighbors provides the foundation for every good work.

Faith

—Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)
6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Faith is God's foundational gift to usin supporting all the other gifts toward an expected end, as we are both hopeful and confident, by our salvation in Christ. We have faith in God and completely trust in His plan for us. Without faith, we cannot please God.
