Pivots and divots, and divots and pivots*.... What's a divot, anyway?
*goes to check the dictionary*
Okay, then. According to the Encarta dictionary, a divot is "a small lump of grass and earth accidentally dug out of the ground while playing a sport, especially golf." [Early 16th century. Origin unknown.] (For my fellow etymology-freaks out there, hehe.)
Wow, that's the second new thing I've learned today. The first was how to make a heart appear on screen:
Err...or maybe I didn't, 'cuz when I tried that trick, all it came up with was this, ♣ which, granted, is cool--as an avid fan of Ireland I adore anything Celt-related, at least décor-wise, including shamrocks--but still. Weirdness. *shakes head* I don't understand computers, let me just say.
Ooh! I figured it out again! (Num Lock, alt-and-hold, number-and-hold, alt-release, and voila.) Look at all the pretty symbols: ☺☻♥♦♣♠•◘○
*snickers*
Now that I'm done freaking even myself out with my weirdness, I think I'll stop now.
*The whole thing with the pivots and divots relates to the Psych episode (in season 2, I think) where they look into the nanny agency. Funny, funny episode.
Love that show.
