  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Snow

"He says to the snow, 'Fall on the earth,' and to the rain shower, 'Be a mighty downpour.'" Job 37:6

So the Lord is telling me to share another story of Him changing the weather. Once again, nervous!!! But I choose to be obedient and stop hiding.

This is from January of 2016, nine months after I was saved. I was in the Alps with my little sister, in Chamonix. The day before God had cast out 7 evil spirits from me, and I was feeling very loved and taken care of. All of my focus was on Him.

We went up to this mountain, it's called Aiguille du Midi. We wanted to see the view of the Alps and the Chamonix valley. But there was such heavy snow. It was completely white everywhere and we could see maybe 10 ft in front of us. We couldn't even see the mountain looking down from the edge. I was so disappointed, mostly because I rarely got to travel in my life before, I was so trapped in every way, and I wanted to see the beautiful view. So I prayed:

"God? Can you stop the snow?? Just for ten minutes, I want to see the view! I know you can!"

And then I felt this feeling of shame and unbelief and I said to Him: "I'm sorry! Of course you can't! Not for me, not for that purpose. And that would mess up the whole climate and the snow would have to come down like really heavily if you keep it in the clouds." Bla bla bla, random scientific facts that I used to be so proud of knowing, but that I no longer remember. :)

So we went down again. Disappointed.

And when we got down I was told to look up this Scripture: ""'If you can'?" said Jesus. "Everything is possible for one who believes." Mark 9:23

And the snow just stopped! Completely and instantly! I was shocked and in awe! And after ten minutes, it started snowing again.

And then I felt God telling me in His Spirit that if I had only had the faith to believe it, He would have done it when I was on the mountain, so I could enjoy the view.

But my faithlessness stopped Him.

God is so awesome! Just thinking about that moment makes me so happy! :) The way He does things, and the way He speaks, it's so mighty and yet so loving.

But then the snow did become really heavy, and it messed up everything for everyone. We took this train up another mountain, and it had to stop repeatedly on the way. But my sister was so blessed by that, she seemed to be at peace and she told me that train ride was her best memory from the trip.

It was such a blessed day! It's from moments like this that I can know for sure that God really is who He says He is, and that His Word is completely true.

Don't let anyone ever tell you that God isn't a God of miracles! Or that He doesn't speak to His children. He has done bigger things than this in my life, which I will share in His timing. To inspire, to show His Glory! Don't let your faithlessness stand between you and God moving in your life.

Praise the Father and the Son! Lord, show us Your Glory! Your will be done!
