  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Promoting Unity

30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.—Ephesians 5:30 (KJV)

5 For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, —Romans 6:5 (NASB)

As Members Of His Body, We Are Witnesses To His Kingdom

How do we preserve and perfect bible-based Christian unity to become better witnesses to the world?
  • Grow in understanding biblical truth so we know Christ more deeply. (Ephesians 4:13)
  • Hold firmly to essential biblical truth, guard against pride of "being right" on every minor issue. (1 Corinthians 4:6-7)
  • Accept all whom Christ accepted, holding truths we believe are important for growth in Christ. (Romans 15:7)
  • Work at harmonious relationships with all believers. (Ephesians 4:1-2, Colossians 3:11-14)
  • Accept and appreciate of one another’s different spiritual gifts. (1 Corinthians 12, 1 Corinthians 12:21)
  • Display racial, cultural, and social unity and diversity. (Galatians 3:28, Ephesians 2:11-22; Colossians 3:10-11)
  • Rejoice when gospel-preaching, Bible-believing, Christ-exalting churches do well. (Matthew 6:33, Romans 5:3-4, Philippians 1:6)
