God's Faithfulness In Ministry

It wasn't long before I was appointed as a church deacon and I used to have a prayer letter printed with items for the church to pray for. I enjoyed welcoming people at the church door to the services and bidding them 'God bless',at the end. I used to testify,sing and give a Word to the church and found myself leading the young people's group. We ministered in the old people's homes and evangelised in the town. When I was 22 years old,I was sent to an old Assembly in a village nearby, that needed re-pioneering. I spent two years there leading and speaking at the Sunday morning and evening services. We had a midweek Fellowship Bible Study and Prayer. We started a Sunday School in the afternoon and a Youth evening on Friday evenings. We had a Home Missions week there,as well as leafleting and evangelising in the village. This was a great time of early ministry,although numbers were small.
