'This all happened at Bethany,on the other side of the Jordan, where John was baptising. The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said,' Look! The Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world'
(John 1:27-28). Jesus was revealed by John the Baptist,as the Messiah, the Lamb of God. He was referring to the Supreme Sacrifice that Jesus was to make for our sins to be pardoned. Jesus became our atonement for sin. He died in our place as the Substitute for our sin. ..........The picture comes to mind of the lamb provided by God for Abraham.:The LORD will provide:. (Genesis 22;8-13) In (Isaiah 53) The Lamb was led to the slaughter for the sins of the people. In (Exodus 12) we see the Passover Lamb. Jesus is the Lamb of God.....Jesus is the Baptiser with the Holy Spirit. Jesus is indeed the Son of God!
