  1. 'I baptise with water',John replied, but among you stands One you do not know'
(John 1;26). . John the Baptist spoke emphatically about One,who they did not know, standing among them, the Anointed One,the Chosen One,the Messiah, the Word of God,the True Light, the Son of God. 'You do not know Him. He stands among you now. I baptise with water, but among you stands One you do not know'. .....................John the Baptist did not stand up for his own credentials. He was not out to make himself great. His all consuming mission was to reveal Jesus as the Christ Messiah. .. John the Baptist always maintained, concerning Christ,He must increase. I must decrease'.
