Faithful John Sent From God

'There was a man sent from God,whose name was John'

We are told that a man was sent from God. He was not the Word of God,the Son of God,Jesus. He was a human being,set apart by God for a purpose,to be the forerunner to Christ,the Messiah............
(Malachi 3:1) says,'Behold I will send a messenger,who will prepare the way before Me. Then the Lord who you seek will suddenly come to His temple,the messenger of the covenant,on whom you delight,see He is coming, says the LORD of hosts'.................(Matthew 3:1) says,'In those days John the Baptist came.preaching in the wilderness of Judea'. ... Isaiah 40:3-5) says 'The voice of Him that cried in the wilderness,'Prepare you the way of the LORD. Make straight in the desert a highway for our God. ............
An angel appeared to the father of the child. Zacharias was his name. Don't be afraid,your prayer is heard,your wife Elizabeth shall bear you a son and you shall call him John' (Luke 1:13) (Luke 1:61-63) 'John',Johannes meaning,'God is a Gracious Giver'
