  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Mankind, although many within wish to have the last word, seems to think that we have the ultimate solutions, the die is cast. Follow tradition they say, especially in religion. God however, says to continually seek Him. In order to do so, we must doubt that which we have already learned or...

It depends what you want to believe in... Christianity has become so fragmented. The religion, at man's behest, wants you to believe all sorts of things man has self-determined. Jesus, on the other hand, made it clear we were to first seek the Kingdom. That found and you will understand. And He...

I'm going to come at this from a Godly and godly angle. First of all, for the most part, neither side in a government serves the people as a whole, which of course runs contrary to following God's will. So if God's will isn't served, then who's will is being served? The sons of God that still...

The world, based on self, expects us to go with the flow. We are bombarded daily with everything related to self-absorption, from politics/consumerism to prosperity gospels. Even Christianity turned from a Him religion to a me one, more concerned about what's in it for us than God's overcoming...

People just don't like taking turns. They take the easy way out and cherish divisiveness because they naturally are incapable of compromise, preferring to be self-serving. It is not the system's fault, but the people's. God has been saying this about us since the Garden. © ...timothyu

What should we remember in times of ethical crisis? Jesus summed it up in two commandments. We are selfish, self-serving individuals. When we put God's will first, we must then change (repent) of such behaviour. Loving all, not just self, means we must not only consider others in times of their...

People point fingers, often labelling someone as a false religious messenger. However, the message should be first and foremost in this discernment. It exposes the messenger as false (not the other way around) if it deviates from the original Gospel of the Kingdom. This of course, would also...

The will of the Father has always been put His will ahead of our own, the self-serving brats that we be. He said to love all as self, not self. People like to look at Jesus but ignore how He lived and what He taught, celebrating Him but not the message nor the lifestyle. That is our will, once...

As we learned in the Garden, good and evil existed side by side within the spirit of God of which we are a part (otherwise the tree would not have been there). Our choice, since that time, is which nature we follow, the one which is servitude to God and each other in need, or evil which is...

Are we being adversarial to the will of God; as disobedient as all the examples given in scripture? We do it every time we put our will ahead of the Will of the Father. The foundation of mankind's world, which we have made in our own image, is built upon the concept of 'self' and self-interest...

Following the Will of God in loving all as self, is non destructive. Both the good and bad in the world react kindly to good deeds but the bad do have a tendency to be exposed as the backwards thinking humans that they are, because of it. This, of course, does not mean just the stereotypical...

The world man has created in our own image has a set pattern. We do things out of tradition based upon putting our own will ahead of the Will of the Father. Although mankind may not think of it, in doing so, we are technically doing things backwards to the ways of the Kingdom. We were given...

Perhaps if people dropped the human gentile notion of capital S satan and instead thought of it as an adversarial spirit/character within both elohim and humans as the Hebrew people did, the notion of an evil being will be left behind. Yes, God created a Tempter, but it has no power to MAKE us...

Simply put, the ways of God tell us to focus on the appropriate needs (not wants) of others. We were to act in servitude to Him and to each other in need. Man, since the Tree, became self-aware and focuses instead on self. As a result mankind prefers to take rather than give. Man, previously...

We need to restore Jesus through a Hebrew perspective, what it meant at the time. Memories of past debate become traditions and end up overruling scripture in favour of the ways of religious institutions. The Christ ends up being made over in a gentile perspective when seen through gentile eyes...

When you stop to consider Jesus' prime enemy and main adversary was the clergy and religion of the day, there may be some present day bewilderment. He chastised them for putting themselves and their rules between the people and God (whom He tried to bring back to the people in a personal...

Most humans, including Christians, have trouble getting past themselves. They need to get back to what they were before the fall.. a being basically unaware of it's body and self and more in tune with it's true nature. Anyone who loves all as self, no matter who in this world, is already...

In case no one noticed, God doesn’t need to save us. We do. We are children of our Father, and it is time to get past our rebellious teenage phase and start going out and acting in the ways He instructed us to carry on the Fatherly business, servitude to Him and each other in need. But of...

We are often considered dreamers because we don't like this world we have made in our own image. That means we don't like us and that can make a lot of enemies, not because we want to, but because others resent our dislike of who we are. But to many, the dream (the Kingdom) makes sense, while...

The Bible, from front to back, is about following the Will of God, not of man. Anyone claiming to be led by the Holy Spirit will be known by their works which diametrically oppose the self serving will of man. As Jesus said, servitude to the Father and to all in need. No 'self' involved. "Thy...
