God created a kingdom in earth. From the time of A&E until now, mankind has refused God's will and taken that kingdom for self, using it for self, and creating all the evils and oppressions and violence as a result. Jesus' good news (gospel) was that God was going to take it back. Don't get too attached to the world we have made in our own image. Salvation comes in freeing us from our own self-serving nature.
