  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Thank you so much for sharing this part of your testimony. It is hard when we see those we love bound by the chains of sin, and it does take God...

What a wonderful post. I have a friend who got into drugs pretty bad. He didn't really care about "Yielding Himself" a servant to obey God, and...

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV). When I was growing up, I was brought up under the Christian and...
“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which...
I looked up the word "sanctification" today. It means the process of making or becoming holy, set apart, different from the world because we are progressively being transformed by the Lord into His likeness. And then I looked at four different Scriptures which define sanctification, or else the...
When I have a party, dancing is part; the joy of companionship is how it starts. We clap for the fiddler as he taps his toes, and the swaying of happy collaboratin' flows. As we are one Body, we rejoice as one kin, the joy of our fellowship is how it begins. We clap for the Master, who in...
“Brothers, join in imitating me, and keep your eyes on those who walk according to the example you have in us. For many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ. Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in...
“Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you is no trouble to me and is safe for you. “Look out for the dogs, look out for the evildoers, look out for those who mutilate the flesh. For we are the circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God and glory in Christ...

Matthew 19:24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” Of course, that verse is pretty incomprehensible. What is it exactly that makes the rich so bad? The situation gets worse when you consider...

Based on what the Scriptures teach are the signs of these last days before the return of Christ, we as Christians should be careful that we are not being led astray by liars with seared consciences. So, again, please do not believe everything you hear or read or think you see, or everything...
“So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility...
I met with my aunt in hospice today. She didn't seem worried about much. She wanted to get updated on what we were doing. One thing she said (in reference to music at her funeral) was, "I'll be able to listen to it one last time. Don't know if I will hear it or not." So she wasn't just being...
“Yes, and I will rejoice, for I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance, as it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body...
“Some indeed preach Christ from envy and rivalry, but others from good will. The latter do it out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defense of the gospel. The former proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition, not sincerely but thinking to afflict me in my imprisonment. What then? Only...
“Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus, to all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the overseers and deacons: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:1-2 ESV It is largely accepted that Paul is the author of this letter, even...
The words of Jesus Christ to the church in Laodicea: Revelation 3:15-17 ESV “I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth. For you say, I am rich, I have...
Psalms 40:11-12 ESV “As for you, O Lord, you will not restrain your mercy from me; your steadfast love and your faithfulness will ever preserve me! For evils have encompassed me beyond number; my iniquities have overtaken me, and I cannot see; they are more than the hairs of my...

Deseradar said, "This is the sort of thing for shelter that we would be looking for. I think there will be enough shade from the sun through the day to keep us from the heat from it and feeling drier. We will then just need to move with the shade while we rest and catch up with some needed...
