  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

What a wonderful post. I have a friend who got into drugs pretty bad. He didn't really care about "Yielding Himself" a servant to obey God, and...

“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.” (Romans 8:18 ESV) “Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with...
“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your...

Two different covenants, the dividing line is Jesus death & resurrection. Matt 15:24 24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. (PARSING: Jesus Himself say's: He was sent (ONLY) to the lost sheep of the house of Israel) Rom 15:8 Now I say that...
“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh...
“For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since, therefore, we...
Being Childlike Before God ““You’re not very sure of this, are you? There is always this distance that you put between God and His children, whereas I try to remove all distance. Oh, My beloved friends, come to Me more simply. I always make the comparison of the little child who throws her two...
In Romans 1 Paul commended all in Rome who were loved by God and called to be saints, because of their faith which was being proclaimed in all the world. But then he mentioned that he was under obligation both to Greeks and to barbarians, both to the wise and to the foolish to preach the gospel...
“First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is proclaimed in all the world. For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I mention you always in my prayers, asking that somehow by God's will I may now at last...
“Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle, set apart for the gospel of God, which he promised beforehand through his prophets in the holy Scriptures, concerning his Son, who was descended from David according to the flesh and was declared to be the Son of God in power according...

Unfortunately, people saying woe is us have been looking forward to salvation for 2000 years. Times in the past have been a lot worse than they are now although living condition wise, people in the past had a lot less to lose. But perhaps the idea is to not look forward for salvation all the...

All felt fatigued enough that they fell asleep very quickly after stopping at that tree, and none awoke until a little before the sun was going down. No animals other than the small pollinators had been seen around this country yet. Those waking up first awoke the others, and then wood for...
Are you presently struggling with sin? What I mean is, not are you are being tempted, but are you giving in to the flesh thinking that sin or Satan has power over you and that you don't have the ability to say "NO!" to sin? In the book of Romans, chapter 7, Paul described for us the struggle...
“I was given a reed like a measuring rod and was told, ‘Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, with its worshipers. But exclude the outer court; do not measure it, because it has been given to the Gentiles. They will trample on the holy city for months. And I will appoint my two...

Consider throughout the post Flood era that God had His own chosen people while the rebellious elohim had all the rest of mankind in this world. A world that originally we were cast into from the Garden. A world of adversarial elohim and now adversarial man. A world where God continued to...
“Oh sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth! Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples! For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; he is to be...
Each human heart is a temple wherein God dwells It does not take much to make most people feel more at ease. More than we know, people are used to being ignored or passed over, or, only given a cursory nod of attention. So, when someone smiles at them, and talks to them it can be a time of...
Hebrews 12 begins with an encouragement to us who believe in Jesus Christ in truth and in righteousness, that we are to lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and to run with endurance the race that God has set before us to run, which is a spiritual race (walk of faith)...

...after reading Isaiah 40:27-31 We can have strength without fully understanding the depths of God’s seas and the timing of waves, those fresh days when gales gather over the oceans, the moments when gray skies loom over the lakes. When we no more question the answers of each day, we log every...
