In many discussions about Bible prophecy, the subject of the replacement of Israel with the Church becomes a hot issue.
The belief of those who hold to a rapture removal to heaven of the Church and the judgement and punishment of Israel during the Great Tribulation, conflicts with the teachings of Jesus and the Apostles.
The Church, means all true Christians, but Israel does not mean the current inhabitants of the Jewish State of Israel. They are just another apostate and atheistic nation....
One of my favorite arguments has always been the Kalam cosmological argument.
Whatever begins to exist has a cause
The universe began to exist
Therefore, the universe has a cause
Some may know of it, some may not, but it's a simple argument that when combined with others... can be quite powerful to make a case for the existence of God.
I am starting this thread in response to a challenge by Limo who claims there are no contradictions in the Quran. My understanding is that Muslims believe that the Quran is:-
A) Complete and free of errors: - Surah 4:28, 18:1, 6:38, 12:111, 16:38, and 39:23.
B) It has never been change or corrupted: - Surah 41:42.
I would like to discuss five areas that come to mind.
Creation: Surah 41:9-12 say eight days, while Surahs 7:54 & 32:4 claim six.
Satan: Surah 38:9-12 claim Satan is an angel...
hi I don't know where to post this but... I think about killing myself a lot mainly because of the suffering in this world...I'm suffering a lot but i know I need to show grace and not be disgraceful to God...I try to be strong but it's really bad...I understand Jesus has saved us from our sins and I am beyond grateful for that therefore I can show my face to God yet I feel so much suffering...I experienced happiness so I know what it is what it feels like but suffering is greater and some...
Congress: Obama Admin Fired Top Scientist to Advance Climate Change Plans
A new congressional investigation has determined that the Obama administration fired a top scientist and intimidated staff at the Department of Energy in order to further its climate change agenda, according to a new report that alleges the administration ordered top officials to obstruct Congress in order to forward this agenda [...]

First, I want to say that I have always been skeptical about the whole "speaking in tongues" thing. However, as of late I have been watching a man by the name of Todd White, who has helped to reinvigorate my faith. Todd believes in the gift of tongues and sometimes speaks in tongues on camera. It has got me wondering recently. Is this stuff for real? Most people I have met say it is not for today but I am not so sure as Todd is seemingly the most genuine Christian I have ever seen, so it got...
For some people with disabilities and deformities it's possible to still function in society. My illness as I have mentioned it before is not one that I believe it is possible to function in society at all.
So what is it God would have me do with my life with a disability that is such?
I am working on my own business because this disease makes me subject to ridicule and mistreatment by employers and coworkers. I have to either stay single forever or marry someone like me or warn everyone I...
I'd like to start this thread to try and compile some "universal truth's"...
I'll give an example of one, combining some of man's wisdom with God's wisdom to discover what could be a universal, innate in us, universal concept, or truth...
"Karma" (man's wisdom) "You reap what you sow" (God's wisdom) "What goes around, comes around" (man's wisdom) "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you", "for this is law (universal truth) and the prophet's (point?)" (God's wisdom, golden...
I know this is an odd question to ask on a Christian forum, but I want to know if I'm the only one who does not observe Christmas in any manner.
My wife and children are Jewish and non-believers. Thirty-three years ago when we got married, I knew she was Jewish but neither of us were religious, so as two secular people, we figured there wouldn't be issues.
Well, long story short, we both found faith but in different directions.
Frankly, I'm fine with not celebrating Christmas. We stopped...
