Why do you believe in just the OT then? Tradition? Proofs? Why?
Why don't you believe in the Book of Mormon? Tradition? Proofs?

I just wanted to know Why you believe what you believe. Is it down to long tradition with family, or personal belief in the OT etc?
For me, i believe in the OT and NT because i have been brought up a Christian / Catholic and strongly believe through faith that Jesus is the Son of the True living God. Through reading and prayer and life's experience my faith in Jesus / God has gotten stronger over a couple of years.
I think that everything has been said on this subject (well almost). Suffice to say, the Jewish people of his time and through the two millennia since, found his claim to the title wanting. The coming of Jesus was widely prophesied in the OT! Many many things are linked between the OT and the NT. All the prophets in the OT were killed. Like Jesus said, a Prophet is not welcome in his own city!
What the Jews wanted was a warrior king. They wanted a man that was going to kill all their enemies and because Jesus was a man of peace they rejected him. Simples. With Jesus came a new Covenant.
Could you say then, it did not nor requires any effort on your part?
Could you say it is as natural as breathing?
It needed effort because i am a terrible sinner! I love God so much though. Loving God / Jesus is as natural as breathing! Its my 'faith' that i have had problems with. Catholic teaching etc etc etc. But, i do believe in the OT and the NT.

David was a prophet. He died in his bed. We didn't kill him.
Well, that's just asserting it. Which prophets were killed? Isaiah? Ezekiel? Jeremiah? If there's no evidence, it's just yet another attack in the NT.
You'd think the murder of all these prophets would be something worthy of being reported.
David was a prophet. He died in his bed. We didn't kill him.
More evidence we are very close to the rapture and the great tribulation.
Would someone please explain to me what the movement of born again gentiles converting to Mesianic Jewdaism? I don'T get it at all, though saved Jews have MUCH understanding withwhich to edify the Body. But gentiles do not have the same perspective so why the flood to convert?
I know. Off Topic
Just want you to know thst I understand that when I got saved I was grafted into the olive tree that God pruned away those born Jewish. I am now a Jew in the trues sense of the word having received the circumcision of the heart.
Mesianic Jews are believers we gentiles can look to for deeper understanding,
though we can look to the Jews by birth for that.
To be a prophet does not necessarily mean predicting the future. Officially, Abraham was the first Jewish prophet and Moses being the greatest of them all, but so was Joshua and Salomon, etc. They all died of natural causes.David was a prophet? I've heard Muslims refer to David as a prophet, but never Jews or Christians.
Tradition has it that Isaiah was sawn in half, executed by the wicked and idolatrous king Manasseh. I believe this tradition, as well as recorded in Christian sources such as the Epistle to the Hebrews, is likewise recorded in the Talmud and other Jewish sources. Wikipedia gives Tractate Yevamot 49b as a source.
