NH GOP Rep Votes Against Bill Banning Marriage of “Ripe, Fertile” Minors

  • The measure passed the Senate unanimously in March. On Thursday, it passed the House, 192-174. The bill now goes to Gov. Chris Sununu for signing into law.
  • “… If we continually restrict the freedom of marriage as a legitimate social option, when we do this to people who are a ripe, fertile age and may have a pregnancy and a baby involved, are we not, in fact, making abortion a much more desirable alternative, when marriage might be the right solution for some freedom-loving couples?” he said.

Israel-Hamas Thread II

Also, while I can appreciate the very one-sided picture you're trying to paint....let's not ignore the European leaders who didn't ignore the Palestinians....
Hitler ignored the Palestinians. The Mufti got nothing - absolutely nothing. He didn't get Hitler to release the French Arab prisoners of war. He didn't get weapons. He couldn't even get Hitler to say the NAZIs opposed the foundation of Israel. All he got was a picture which is used by Sons of Satan to support the murder, rape, theft, destruction and pillaging of Palestine.

What did the Zionist Jews get from Hitler? Ever heard of the Haavara agreement? The Zionist "Jews" helped to fund Hitler's Holocaust in return to forcing other "Jews" to go to Israel. The Zionist "Jews" also borrowed the National Socialist form of government and added some tweaks.
UN Resolution 181 was the first proposal for an Arab state (Palestine) in the region....and was rather swiftly rejected by the Arabs in the disputed area in the late 40s if I'm not mistaken.
Really? How many Arabs voted in this referendum? Did the U.S. send troops to guard against violence and allow a free democratic process to occur?

Or are you just saying the "Arabs" (As if they were a monolith.) rejected it because this fits your narrative despite having no evidence this happened?
At the close of that conflict...the neighboring and in many cases distant Arab nations decided to persecute and exile most of their Jewish populations which also dramatically increased the population of early Israel.
This is Hasbara fantasy.
I think the only argument I can consider worth having during this conflict is "what is the best outcome for the Palestinian people?"
The best outcome is to end the apartheid in Israel just like the apartheid in South Africa ended. The state of Israel has to end. It is the only just, righteous, and Christian solution.

More about : Water Baptism

What exactly is judgemental? The Lord Himself said there will be (and there are) false Christians.
It is also true that some are water baptised and they do not believe. People who do not believe are not saved, that is not me being judgemental. John 3:18 'Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.'

Water baptism is a sign and seal of Jesus uniting a person to Himself, and thereby making Him or Her visibly a member of His Church.
Baptism is a sign of three totally underserved, gracious things that Jesus does for Christians. First, it is a sing of being washed clean, because Christians have been washed clean from their sins by Jesus' death on the cross. Second, it is a sign of dying and rising to a new life, because a Christian's old self has died and they have risen to a new life with Jesus, and there will be a day when their bodies also will be raised from the dead, as Jesus was. Third, the poured water is a sign of Holy Spirit whom Jesus pours out on all who trust in Him.

Baptism does not automatically do any of these thins. But when a baptised person believes the promises contained in their baptism, God does somehow use it to do these things for them. Therefore for baptism to be of any value to the baptised person, they must love, serve and trust Jesus for the rest of their life.
Pity the poor individual who has been baptized and has loved, served, and trusted Jesus up to the end of their life when they commit a sin and lose their salvation.

The 10 Commandments and the Law of Moses

2 Timothy 3:
16
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine,
for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Isn't it wonderful how easy it is to fulfill the Law!
Love Thy Neighbor and that's all there is to it!

Romans 13:10 Love does no harm to a neighbor;
therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

James 3:
1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man,
and able also to bridle the whole body.

Matthew 12:37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.

Luke 17:1 Then He said to the disciples, It is impossible that no offenses should come,

but woe to him through whom they do come!

Do those who so easily dismiss the Law have any idea how much of it pertains to relations
with a neighbor? The retribution promised to those who do not unto others, as they would
have them do unto them?

John 3:7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’
1 Peter 1:

22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit
in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart,
23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible,
through the word of God which lives and abides forever.

Sure, love your neighbor fulfills the Law, but is that what we are called to do?
Or is there a "greater love"?
33 years ago I came to the honest conclusion, that I did not love fervently in Truth.
There is so much more than calling yourself "a born-again Christian".
Pressing into the Spirit, the Lord presents the true remedy, "to purify your soul
in obeying the Truth through the Spirit"
.

Luke 22:27 For who is greater, he who sits at the table, or he who serves?
Is it not he who sits at the table? Yet I am among you as the One who serves.

John 13:
13 You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am.
14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet,
you also ought to wash one another’s feet.
15 For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.
16 Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master;
nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him.

17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

When the conversation turns to "fulfilling the law by loving our neighbor";
hopefully it quickly turns to serving the needs of others. That would be good.
When I master loving my neighbor as myself I will consider other aspects of the Law.

VOTE HOW MANY BELIEVE IN A PRE TRIBULATION HOPE/RAPTURE ?

That you are wildly incorrect, is plainly seen by the impossibility of unbelievers becoming Christians under the rule of the Anti-Christ beast.
Revelation 13:8 says; All the world will follow after the beast........ All the secular world, that is.

Revelation 12 tells how the Christian people; the great multitude, are divided into two halves, at the commencement of the Great Trib; the last three and a half years before Jesus Returns.
The faithful ones will be taken to a place of safety on earth and the ones who violated the Covenant, Daniel 11:32, must remain, as stated in Rev 12:17.

How many fiery trials have you faced?
No; Peter is referring to the terrible Sixth Seal, the forthcoming great test of our faith and many who believed false doctrines will fail it. Isaiah 66:15-17

Revelation 13:7 The 'beast' was allowed to wage war on Gods people and defeat them...... Also Daniel 7:25

The false idea of a pre-trib rapture to heaven is thoroughly debunked. You have fallen for a lie, which is not so bad, but you strongly promote and teach that lie. God will not be happy with you!
Rev 6:9-11 is the first half of the GM. Rev 20:4 is the 2nd half of the GM. They are all resurrected together in the last sentence of Rev 20:4. They then appear in Rev 7:9-17, in Heaven. They will serve Jesus in the MK.

All as of the GM were unbelievers before being converted by the 144k. You never give the 144k any credit for the greatest revival in the Trib.

I’m still waiting for one verse that says believers will enter the Trib.

Acts 2:38 in context

I have traveled in Mexico since 1987 - I have never heard of a Mexican language - they speak Spanish

But thank you for replying.
Actually, there are a number of languages spoken in Mexico, even as there are many in the United States. Both countries, however, recognize only one language as being their national language. In both countries, there are large numbers of people who descend from folks who were living there centuries before Mr. Columbus came on the scene. These folks still speak, and read (thanks to groups such as Wycliffe Bible Translators), their historic languages.

Blind guides and deluded followers

Isaiah 9:16-19 Those who guide My people have led them astray and those who follow them are deluded. Therefore the Lord will show no mercy to the youths or pity the widows and fatherless. They are a nation of godless evildoers, everyone speaks impiety. For all this, His anger has not abated.
The ungodly are set ablaze, like a fire it consumes the briars and thorns. It sets the forests ablaze and all is wrapped in a pall of smoke. The land is scorched by the fury of the Lord and the people will be fuel for the fire.

Isaiah 8:9-10 Take note you nations: You will be shattered. Listen all you distant parts of the earth, arm yourselves and be defeated, prepare for battle and be shattered. Devise your plans, but they will be foiled, prepare what you will, but it will not be carried out.

Isaiah 10:17-19 The Light of Israel will be become a fire, their Holy One, a flame – which in one Day will burn up and consume His thorns and briars. The beauty of the forests and pastures will be suddenly devastated and only a remnant will remain.

Isaiah 13:9-13 The Day of the Lord is coming, that cruel Day of wrath and fierce anger, a Day of darkness to reduce the [holy] Land to a desolation and to destroy the wicked there. The Lord will punish the world for its evil, the wicked and proud peoples will be cut down. Humans will be as scarce as gold, as rare as the gold of Ophir. The sky will tear apart and the earth will be moved from its place at the wrath of the Lord Almighty, on the Day of His blazing anger.
Ref: REB, NIV. Some verses abridged.

These Bible prophecies say it all, how the unjust and godless peoples will be brought to account, those ‘thorns and briars’, that is: those who despise the Lord’s people and try to take over the holy Land: will be punished. Ezekiel 28:24 & 30:1-5, Jeremiah 12:14 & 49:35-37

This is prophesied to be carried out by the means of a terrible judgement of fire, earthquakes, storms and tsunamis, which will be fulfilled literally by a Coronal Mass Ejection from the sun: ‘tearing apart the sky’. Isaiah 30:26, Malachi 4:1 That will ‘reduce the land to desolation’, and ‘cut down all the proud and wicked peoples’. Their plans against the Lord’s people will not be carried out. Deut. 32:22&34-35, Psalms 83:1-18, Psalms 7:12-16, Jer. 49:34-37, Rev. 6:12-17

But, after this sudden and shocking event, those who love the Lord and keep His Commandments, every born again Christian, have His amazing promises of the regeneration of all the Holy Land, where they will gather and live in peace and security. Ezekiel 34:11-16, Jeremiah 33:12-13, Isaiah 66:12-21, Joel 2:21-24

Absolute proof.. can't deny.. the earth is flat

So you're saying people are conspiring to raise views? What a joke.
No. Ten active people make many views in one page (refreshes after new posts are added for reading, after their own posting and posts editing and maybe some more during the day) and it can make thousands in sum, easily. Its not a conspiracy.

Biden calls Japan & India Xenophobic in same group as China & Russia

I know that...
Then why ask?

Here's something to ponder. Take everyone out of the USA who was born overseas. You lose nearly 15% of their citizens. The economy would collapse. Try it with China, Russia or India and tell me what the result would be.

Russian university leaders are imbuing the country’s education system with patriotism to favor Putin, quashing Western influences and dissent.

just to try to defend Russia's state promoted lies and propaganda.
As if the western countries have never manipulated history. There are no governments of man that are different as all follow self interest. They all follow the same practices while pretending to be different.

A few questions for Protestants

Actually, Jesus never even hinted at major Catholic dogmas such as the Perpetual Virginity of His mother, the absence of biological siblings of His, the prophesied assumption of His mother into heaven followed by her coronation as Queen of Heaven, etc., etc., etc.
Whereas He was emphatic that with all of our heart, mind, soul and strength we were to focus on God and nothing else but God.

The New and Improved No-Straw-Man Challenge

That’s not how the OP is set up. You make a claim about something you think is the result of Calvinism (like calvinism makes us puppets) and support the claim with some writing from the reformers.
That is the problem, indeed. I agree with you that most people, including what I term neo-Calvinists, fail to understand Reformed theology in all of its historic manifestations, even beginning with Augustine, the noted monergist, who, despite being declared a saint, had his theology trashed at the Council of Trent.

Spiritual fruit verses politics

Ok, fine. But I suggest you are not really engaging in responsible discussion - you are trying to convince others of the correctness of your position but you artfully evade appropriate challenges. That is your right, of course, but surely you must understand that all readers will see that you are not willing to engage meaningful challenges to your position. And such silence speaks volumes - when you evade challenging questions, this is tantamount to conceding that your position is exceedingly vulnerable and shaky.
I speak truth. It's not my responsibility if people here it or not.

Orthodox in Communion with Rome?

I am Roman Catholic, Latin rite, through and through.

We do not, as far as I know, have active Eastern Catholics on this forum.

Some of them do indeed identify as Orthodox in Communion with Rome and accept all Orthodox theology and spirituality while recognizing the Roman Pope. Others will identify as Eastern Catholics first.

Hope I answered your question.

Actually I think at least one member who posts on the Eastern Orthodox forum “The Ancient Way” is or was a Byzantine Rite Catholic.

Christ is risen!!!

I hear quite a few of them in the ROCOR parish we attend as we have a lot of different ethnicities present. Our priest monk is Anglo but speaks a bit of German, our other priest is from Indonesia, we have Greeks, Russians, Brazilians and a few others I can't remember, plus a few people speak other languages. We get to hear all of them on Saturday night/Sunday morning

Splendid! You know I always love visiting ROCOR parishes as they tend to do a really good job at liturgics, and I really find the people very friendly.
