yes all perfectly clear in matt, john, luke and mark!

jesus is the living waters, the light of the world.

And you trust what is written in the Four Gospels why?

There are a lot of texts that existed, and many survive either in full or in part, and there are even some modern ones, which claim to contain the words and teachings of Jesus.

I know why I trust Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. I embrace the Canon of Scripture preserved, retained, and received within the Christian Church and which has been passed down from generation to generation. Which is also why I accept the writings of St. Paul the Apostle, as well as the Catholic Epistles of Peter, John, James, Jude, and St. John's Apocalypse, and the Acts of the Apostles also. These together are called the New Testament, distinct from the Old Testament.

I was previously chastised for embracing the writings of St. Paul, an apostle called by the Lord Jesus Christ to be His ambassador to the uncircumcised, mainly Greek, people of the ancient Mediterranean world. From this I gathered that you do not consider the Canon as holy and sacred.

I'm sure you must have a good reason to accept these four writings as authoritative and valid, as opposed to, say the Gospel of Thomas or A Course in Miracles. Perhaps you could share what that reason is.

I agree, I am glad you are a true follower of Christ and the commandments and all he taught us.
As for me I hear Christ's voice and follow only him.
All Scripture is God-breathed (2 Tim 3:16) and the voice of Christ, who is God.

Arguments arise about the relevance of the 10 Commandments and the Law of Moses. I would like to explain here the differences between the two based on scripture (KJV).
The Ten Commandments

[spoiler[First, the 10 Commandments that were given by GOD, were written by the finger of GOD himself on tables of stone;
Deu 10:1 At that time the LORD said unto me, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first, and come up unto me into the mount, and make thee an ark of wood.
Deu 10:2 And I will write on the tables the words that were in the first tables which thou brakest, and thou shalt put them in the ark.
Deu 10:3 And I made an ark of [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse]tim wood, and hewed two tables of stone like unto the first, and went up into the mount, having the two tables in mine hand.
Deu 10:4 And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which the LORD spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and the LORD gave them unto me.
Deu 10:5 And I turned myself and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they be, as the LORD commanded me.
Note that the tablets were placed INSIDE the Ark of the Covenant under the Mercy seat. The 10 commandments are on a permanent medium, STONE, they are a permanent record. the 10 Commandments are referred to in the biblical texts as My Commandments or His Commandments. The 10 Commandments are the Moral law left to humanity, Jews and Gentiles alike.
The Law of Moses
Moses wrote a separate set of Laws that contained ordinances precepts, and statutes. They contained many things that were important for the Israelites of that time such as food laws, purity laws, social laws, sacrifice and offerings, instructions for the tabernacle, the priesthood, the sacrifices the feasts and more. Moses also copied to text what was on the tables of stone, the commandments but it does not mean the 10 commandments given by GOD are from Moses, The 10 Commandments have a HOLY status and are forever and are Distinct and separate from the Law of Moses. The law of Moses written on parchment or other similar medium was TEMPORARY by nature and was put OUTSIDE the ark of the covenant as it is written;
Deu 31:24 And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished,
Deu 31:25 That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, saying,
Deu 31:26 Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.
Deu 31:27 For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against the LORD; and how much more after my death?
The Mercy Seat
The mercy seat covering the Ark of the Covenant puts the emphasis on the Holiness of the Ark of the Covenant and it's contents, the Ten Commandments written on tables of stone;
Exo 25:17 And thou shalt make a mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof.
Exo 25:18 And thou shalt make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.
Exo 25:19 And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: even of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.
Exo 25:20 And the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.
Exo 25:21 And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.
Exo 25:22 And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.

The mercy seat was the cover of the ark of the covenant where the Lord would meet with Moses over the 2 cherubim. The ark is HOLY and the contents, the 10 commandments are HOLY being written by GOD himself on a permanent medium ( stone )
Once per year on the day of Atonement, the High priest had to sprinkle blood on the mercy seat covering the ark containing the 10 commandments from a sacrifice for forgiveness of sin. Sin being defined as breaking the 10 commandments, the moral law written on the tablets of stone INSIDE THE ARK.

Yeshua, the messiah, the son of GOD, was the ultimate sacrifice, He paid the price for our sins with his blood unto death. Since the Final sacrifice for sin was fulfilled By Christ, The Law of Moses was therefore no longer applicable, it was a temporary Law contrary to the 10 Commandments that will not pass away. The two set of laws were, kept separately, given differently and written differently.

Jesus said we must keep the Ten Commandments to be saved, (Mat. 19:16-19). We are not saved by our obedience to God's law, but by grace thru faith. We must repent of our sins having transgressed the commandments. Repentance changes us from disobedience to willing obedience. Those who are willing to obey the Ten Commandments shall enter thru the gates into the HOLY City;
Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
His Commandments are sure and are Love and stand for ever and ever.
Deu 5:29 O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever![/spoiler]
Peace

(9 Now the first covenant had regulations for worship and also an earthly sanctuary. 2 A tabernacle was set up. In its first room were the lampstand and the table with its consecrated bread; this was called the Holy Place. 3 Behind the second curtain was a room called the Most Holy Place, 4 which had the golden altar of incense and the gold-covered ark of the covenant. This ark contained the gold jar of manna, Aaron’s staff that had budded, and the stone tablets of the covenant. 5 Above the ark were the cherubim of the Glory, overshadowing the atonement cover. But we cannot discuss these things in detail now.

6 When everything had been arranged like this, the priests entered regularly into the outer room to carry on their ministry. 7 But only the high priest entered the inner room, and that only once a year, and never without blood, which he offered for himself and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance. 8 The Holy Spirit was showing by this that the way into the Most Holy Place had not yet been disclosed as long as the first tabernacle was still functioning. 9 This is an illustration for the present time, indicating that the gifts and sacrifices being offered were not able to clear the conscience of the worshiper. 10 They are only a matter of food and drink and various ceremonial washings—external regulations applying until the time of the new order.)

The Blood of Christ

(11 But when Christ came as high priest of the good things that are now already here,[a] he went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not made with human hands, that is to say, is not a part of this creation. 12 He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining[b] eternal redemption. 13 The blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that they are outwardly clean. 14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death,[c] so that we may serve the living God!

15 For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance—now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant.

16 In the case of a will,[d] it is necessary to prove the death of the one who made it, 17 because a will is in force only when somebody has died; it never takes effect while the one who made it is living. 18 This is why even the first covenant was not put into effect without blood. 19 When Moses had proclaimed every command of the law to all the people, he took the blood of calves, together with water, scarlet wool and branches of hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll and all the people. 20 He said, “This is the blood of the covenant, which God has commanded you to keep.”[e] 21 In the same way, he sprinkled with the blood both the tabernacle and everything used in its ceremonies. 22 In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.

23 It was necessary, then, for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these sacrifices, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these. 24 For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made with human hands that was only a copy of the true one; he entered heaven itself, now to appear for us in God’s presence. 25 Nor did he enter heaven to offer himself again and again, the way the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own. 26 Otherwise Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But He has appeared once for all at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself. 27 Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, 28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.)

He likewise added that following (faith in) him was necessary (Mt 19:21).

Just as Moses couldn't enter the promised land, literally and in the name of "symbolism/typification"...

Just as Moses couldn't enter the promised land, literally and in the name of "symbolism/typification"...
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to whom the promise of land was made personally ("you," Ge 17:8, 26:3, 35:12) likewise could not enter the promised land, it being a type of the heavenly land (Heb 11:13-16).

Only the seed of Abraham, which unbelieving Jews are not (Jn 8:44, Ro 2:28-29, 9:6-8, Gal 4:24-26, 30-31, 6:15, Php 3:3), enter the heavenly land.
The apostle disinherits and cuts off the Jews from the promise to Abraham (just as God
disinherited Ge 17:18-21, and completely cut off Ge 21:10-14, Ishmael from the promise to Abraham, Ro 9:6-7, Gal 3:16, 4:25-26, 30-31) because of their rejection of the Gospel for the Law (Ro 9:30-33, Gal 3:18, 22).

3 And said unto him, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee.
4 Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell.

First, the 10 Commandments that were given by GOD, were written by the finger of GOD himself on tables of stone;

More importantly, the covenant at Horeb involved all the people
hearing God's Voice, as He spoke with them "face to face".

Deuteronomy 4:

32 For ask now concerning the days that are past, which were before you,
since the day that God created man on the earth, and ask from one end of heaven to the other,
whether any great thing like this has happened, or anything like it has been heard.
33 Did any people ever hear the voice of God speaking out of the midst of the fire,
as you have heard, and live?

34 Or did God ever try to go and take for Himself a nation from the midst of another nation,
by trials, by signs, by wonders, by war, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm,
and by great terrors, according to all that the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes?
35 To you it was shown, that you might know that the Lord Himself is God; there is none other besides Him.
36 Out of heaven He let you hear His voice, that He might instruct you; on earth He showed you His great fire,
and you heard His words out of the midst of the fire.

Deuteronomy 5:
2 The Lord our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.
3 The Lord did not make this covenant with our fathers,
but with us, those who are here today, all of us who are alive.
4 The Lord talked with you face to face on the mountain
from the midst of the fire.

Hebrews 3:7 Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says:
Today, if you hear His voice,

8 Do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion,
In the day of trial in the wilderness,
9 Where your fathers tested Me, tried Me,
And saw My works forty years.
10 Therefore I was angry with that generation,
And said, ‘They always go astray in their heart,
And they have not known My ways.
11 So I swore in My wrath,
‘They shall not enter My rest.

And... Again.. John 5:39 9 You study[a] the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me,

And... Again... John 10:27-28 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: and I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

Abraham, did a superb job of it. 430 years before Moses law.
Ro 4:12 And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.
Genesis 26:
4 And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven;
I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in your seed
all the nations of the earth shall be blessed;

23 But this is what I commanded them, saying, ‘Obey My voice, and I will be your God,

that it may be well with you.’

Philippians 1:6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
2 Timothy 3:
16
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine,
for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Isn't it wonderful how easy it is to fulfill the Law!
Love Thy Neighbor and that's all there is to it!

Romans 13:10 Love does no harm to a neighbor;
therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

James 3:
1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man,
and able also to bridle the whole body.

Matthew 12:37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.

Luke 17:1 Then He said to the disciples, It is impossible that no offenses should come,
but woe to him through whom they do come!

Do those who so easily dismiss the Law have any idea how much of it pertains to relations
with a neighbor? The retribution promised to those who do not unto others, as they would
have them do unto them?

John 3:7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’
1 Peter 1:

22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit
in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart,
23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible,
through the word of God which lives and abides forever.

Sure, love your neighbor fulfills the Law, but is that what we are called to do?
Or is there a "greater love"?
33 years ago I came to the honest conclusion, that I did not love fervently in Truth.
There is so much more than calling yourself "a born-again Christian".
Pressing into the Spirit, the Lord presents the true remedy, "to purify your soul
in obeying the Truth through the Spirit"
.

Luke 22:27 For who is greater, he who sits at the table, or he who serves?
Is it not he who sits at the table? Yet I am among you as the One who serves.

John 13:
13 You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am.
14 If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet,
you also ought to wash one another’s feet.
15 For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.
16 Most assuredly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master;
nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him.

17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

When the conversation turns to "fulfilling the law by loving our neighbor";
hopefully it quickly turns to serving the needs of others. That would be good.

Gal 4:21 ¶ Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?
22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.
23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.
24 Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. {covenants: or, testaments } {Sinai: Gr. Sina }
25 For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children. {answereth to: or, is in the same rank with }
26 But Jerusalem which is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

Abraham lives in this covenant of kings....Which Moses did not give...

Ge 17:6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.
Ge 17:16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her. {she … : Heb. she shall become nations }
Ge 35:11 And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins;

Abraham lives in this covenant of kings....Which Moses did not give...
Isaiah 55:
1 Ho! Everyone who thirsts,
Come to the waters
;
And you who have no money,
Come, buy and eat.
Yes, come, buy wine and milk
Without money and without price.
2 Why do you spend money for what is not bread,
And your wages for what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good,
And let your soul delight itself in abundance.
3
Incline your ear, and come to Me.
Hear, and your soul shall live;
And I will make an everlasting covenant with you—
The sure mercies of David.

4 Indeed I have given him as a witness to the people,
A leader and commander for the people.
5 Surely you shall call a nation you do not know,
And nations who do not know you shall run to you,
Because of the Lord your God,
And the Holy One of Israel;
For He has glorified you.
6 Seek the Lord while He may be found,
Call upon Him while He is near.
7 Let the wicked forsake his way,
And the unrighteous man his thoughts;
Let him return to the Lord,
And He will have mercy on him;
And to our God,
For He will abundantly pardon.

Psalm 132:
10 For Your servant David’s sake,
Do not turn away the face of Your Anointed.
11 The Lord has sworn in truth to David;
He will not turn from it:
I will set upon your throne the fruit of your body.

12 If your sons will keep My covenant
And My testimony which I shall teach them,
Their sons also shall sit upon your throne forevermore.
13 For the Lord has chosen Zion;
He has desired it for His dwelling place:
14 This is My resting place forever;
Here I will dwell, for I have desired it.

15 I will abundantly bless her provision;
I will satisfy her poor with bread.
16 I will also clothe her priests with salvation,
And her saints shall shout aloud for joy.
17 There I will make the horn of David grow;
I will prepare a lamp for My Anointed.

18 His enemies I will clothe with shame,
But upon Himself His crown shall flourish.

James and Paul agree with you. Though I struggled, the Day that I cast the Decalogue aside as my idol to Salvation... The Holy Spirit of Christ has done so much more within myself, as He has within you. Jesus is indeed, the Superior covenant. Love has a funny way of transcending what mankind considers "obedience". :D Love can do no Harm. For Love (God) is the Fulfillment of the Law.

P.s. Outside of Christ's amazing work, of His accord, NOTHING of mine, I retain that I am a sinful bag of bones, only redeemed by unmerited favor. <3

All Love to you, Mr. M

John 14:
15 If you love Me, keep My commandments.

16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another
Helper (comforter, counselor) , that He may abide with you forever—
17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because
it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him,
for He dwells with you and will be in you.
18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.

Even so, come Lord Jesus!
Revelation 22:

17 And the Spirit and the bride say,
“Come!” And let him who hears say, “
Come!” And let him who thirsts come.
Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

Just as Moses couldn't enter the promised land, literally and in the name of "symbolism/typification"...
Well none of the Levites were heirs of the land either.

Jos 18:7 But the Levites have no part among you; for the priesthood of the LORD is their inheritance: and Gad, and Reuben, and half the tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance beyond Jordan on the east, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave them.
