the dr has me on zoloft, i am worried because i read online not too long ago that it can cause hair loss, has anyone here who took zoloft experience hair lost? i refuse to take it if it does !

The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I've been taking it for a couple of months, and my hair is fine!
It isn't on any list of side effects I can find, so I think its probably just something that one person experienced, it isn't in any of the literature about it!
And it seems to be working for me, so give it a chance

hi criada i read other forums online that said people who are on it and then get off it, will experience hair loss, of course other things as well, the dr didn't tell me this!I've been taking it for a couple of months, and my hair is fine!

Weight gain with zoloft has been an issue for me and if I skip taking a pill for a day or two my brain feels like its getting electrical jolts. lol. I guess if I ever do come off of this stuff I will have to do it very very slowly.

I've been taking it for years for SA and it's changed my life and I grateful for that. It has not caused hair loss to my knowledge.
