• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

And your response tells me you don't have an answer.
Also, I noticed you liked the sarcasm when it was you doing it....and insults are to your liking as well. :)
So you're aspiring to impress me by resorting to the same tactics?
Please! :doh:If you've got a grudge against me keep it off the board and repent.

Ladies, please, everyone is entitled to their own opinions on this. As it is not a matter of Messianic doctrine I as the OP welcome your opinions, but please don't take after each other because you don't agree, ok? please?

Thank you. :)

As I said before there are many, many things outside our realm of knowledge that I believe that one day, those who love G-d and worship him in the best way we can, by following his guidance on how to do so, will be given all this knowledge of things we either didn't need to know about or were too outside our understanding at the time to be able to deal with.

I think science has discovered that the capacity of holding knowledge of the human brain is barely used, only about 10% I think they say, so what of that other 90%? What did G-d make that for? I think our brain, which I realize the flesh part of it doesn't go into the afterlife with us but the memory banks do will be filled with this knowledge that day.

I picture it in a childlike manner of us, sitting before the throne while the L-RD tells these stories to his children while they sit in awe of him even more-so than before!

That 10% thing is a myth, from long before MRI's.
BBC - Future - Health - Do we only use 10% of our brains?

This wasn't a scientific post, I was sharing.

But since you want to only make everything I post into a debate, your link as well as one I looked up at the Smithsonian is not exactly based on a belief in a Creator, so I take it for what it's worth and where it's coming from.

BBC - It is true that nature can sometimes involve some strange designs, but to evolve to have a brain ten times the size we needed would seem very odd, when its large dimensions are so costly to our survival, leading on occasion to obstructed labour and the death of a mother during childbirth if no help is available.

Smithsonian - Evolutionarily, it would make no sense to carry around surplus brain tissue.

I have to make a correction when someone posts myths as facts. The 10% myth is right up there with the appendix and tonsils are leftovers from evolution. I'm surprised you would have a problem with either source, as evolution is the only reason to believe in an old earth, or the gap theory.

I did not post a myth as a fact. And when it comes to studying the human body, there really are no hard and true facts, let alone in how our brain functions compelety because there are too many variables to consider.

While they make hypothesis about our brain, no one understands it fully nor can they begin to understand when they believe we come from a 'soup' and were not 'fearfully and wonderfully made'.

And that you got from that website, by evolutionists. And what is a myth? something not true, or something not proven? It used to be a myth that the earth was flat and many more. We shouldn't be so arrogant to think we've got G-d and his creation all figured out, for that is prideful and pride goeth before a fall.

I'm surprised you would have a problem with either source, as evolution is the only reason to believe in an old earth, or the gap theory.
No it is not, I get my reason to believe this from the Bible and from my own eyes. I don't need scientists to tell me anything.

I am dropping this because we are getting too far from the OP. As I said, I was just correcting a myth. If you want a creationist source, here is one:
Our brain: Do we use only a small portion of it?
