If we say the time is upon us to trust the Lord in all our ways, we mean "Today", right?

Heb 3:7 Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says, "Today IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE...."

So again "Today" is upon us. And there is a specific day that we need hear His voice and be directed by Him, and that day is "Today", and we encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called "Today"

Heb 3:13 But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called "Today" so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.

And in what areas do we put our trust in Him for not on our own understanding for direction? "In all your ways"!!!!

So what about concerning what you buy at the grocery store? Certainly we don't need to seek Him in the grocery store do we? It is written, "In all your ways!!!!

What about in your conversations with others? Have you not read "Listen, O heavens, and hear O earth; for the Lord speaks" (Is 1:2) [If you care to believe it; He asked me to put down that specific verse, because He said it shows how your conversations with others would include Him. He is an 'other' who is always with you so are you leaving Him out of your conversations and ignoring Him being right there why you talk to another? That is called being rude isn't it. So, as He pointed out to me, we are being rude to Him if we don't include Him in our conversations with others!)

So, if you are not including Him "Today" in all things is it not because you are not considering yourself wise in your own eyes? Is it not because you not leaning on your own understanding? Is He saying to you "Should you not fear Me"?

Oh, we treat Him rudely! And we don't even stop to think about what we are doing and how we are treating Him who said He would never leave us. The love He has for us is amazing, that He should but up with us.

So maybe "Today" we can encourage one another to put our trust in Him, by seeking Him and not leaning on our own understanding.

Yeah - "A time is upon us" - do we know and understand the time we are taking about is "Today"?

A time is upon us when we are going to have to give up our preconceived ideas and trust in the leading of the Holy Spirit to show us our way.
Amen, and I'm thinking those who haven't been practicing this all along, may have a difficult time. Better to learn how to change a flat tire in your driveway than to have to learn it out on the road in the middle of nowhere.

I find it rather interesting; humans think they are free when they live in their own free will. Whilst when living in sin we are in truth bound, because death follows us. In sin we will reap death.

But when we are in Christ Jesus, and decide giving up our free will to God's care, then we are given a freedom which cannot be fully described for us. As the truth sets us free, the Truth which is also Jesus Christ! In Christ Jesus, we are given life.

God is so loving to let us choose, having given us a free will. Yet having a own free will doesn't mean we have much freedom in reality, as our own freedom leads to death. Our own freedom puts us in bondage because of our sin.

So now in combination to your earlier post and this one; I'd rather be a slave of Christ Jesus, in which I will be having full life in Him. And living in true freedom through Him! Instead of being a slave of sin, because of my own free will, which will be destructive for me, and leading me into full death.

Proverbs 3:5–7 (NKJV)

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart,

And lean not on your own understanding;

6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,

And He shall direct your paths.

7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;

Fear the Lord and depart from evil.

A time is upon us when we are going to have to give up our preconceived ideas and trust in the leading of the Holy Spirit to show us our way. We need Him, we depend on Him, and we will depend upon Him in a greater capacity in the near future.

On this Holy Saturday before Resurrection (Easter) Sunday you may also find this Word from the Lord a blessing…

We should learn doing this at all times. Whether it be good days or bad days, to learn depending on Him and trusting in Him.

Especially during good days, many tend to forget God. When life is prospering for them, many trust easily on themselves. Then it is like they don't need Him anymore. Just like in the times of the old testament, He felt forgot by people.

When we learn to give Him thanks both during our good days as well as during our bad days, and realizing our need for Him every day. Not thinking that we are earning blessings on our own or gaining riches by our own strenght, but that all of this comes from God. Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father in heaven.

James 1:17

"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."

John 10:10–12 (NKJV) – Jesus speaking

10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. 12 But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them.

The life that Jesus speaks of her is both literal (physical) life and figurative (spiritual) life.

The abundant life, according to the Greek language is a life “beyond measure” – what a wonderful life Jesus, our Good Shepherd, has given us. May we allow ourselves, through obedience, to enjoy every aspect of the life He died to give us.

Even though we do can enjoy every day, just because He blesses us and every day is a gift given from Him.

I do also want to remind myself of that the truly abundant life of Jesus is not from this life which we live here on earth, but it is from His promise of eternal life. And with all fruits which will be born in Him in this life, which will be born into eternity.

We should remain thankful and rejoice and be glad for every day He gives us, whether we have good as well as bad days. When we can still thank Him during difficult days, this is a great step put forward. We can be suffering, but still remaining thankful. Though this can be only done in Christ's strenght!

The enemy will do everything to distract us and to take our focus away from Jesus. The devil will come to steal, kill and destroy, yet when we remain in Christ, we will have everything we need through Him. No matter what is taken from us, Jesus should be our everything! And still, all of our needs are met by Him.

Psalms 23:1

"The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want."
