I'm between rose gold or various dusty pastels for the bridesmaids.

IF that day ever comes, I want my wedding to be something simple. Extravagant weddings to me are a total waste of time and resources.
Amen.
A wedding costs some folks over $10,000 nowadays. I'd much rather spend that on the house we'll call home.
$10000 is actually the low end of a wedding budget... Simple venues, inexpensive dresses, a little floral.. That will put you around the 10,000 mark alone. I think 20k is about average for a small catered wedding.Amen.

That's just what I've found from working in the wedding industry. Even my sister had a simple wedding, picnic basket dinner for the guests that my family assembly line put together, decorations homemade, etc and hers was between 10 and 15k. Venues are seriously just really expensive. Photographers are really expensive. Feeding 100 people is really expensive. I don't think a lot of people realize what goes into it until they start planning. There isn't a single reason why a small, formal wedding/reception should cost $10,000. That is astronomical and ridiculous. I'm sure it's the 'low end' of a wedding budget for some people, but that is way over the top for the average Joe, and it doesn't need to be.
It's all about creativity and thinking outside the box. Get in touch with your resourceful side and you'll be surprised how cheaply you can throw an awesome wedding. Lol
