Since my husband and I have been married, with few brief exceptions, our bed has consisted of a mattress on top of a boxspring on top of a metal frame. Booooooooooring.
I'm seriously considering talking him into buying a BED. A real bed, with a headboard and maybe a footboard (or maybe not since the dog wouldn't like jumping onto the bed from the side) and some kind of nice looking wood frame.
But I don't know what I want. Furniture stores don't show a lot of samples on their websites and I'd like to have a general idea of what I'm looking for before I go running all over town being molested by salesmen.
So.
What kind of bed do you have?
Do you love it?
Do you have a picture of it, or one similar, that you'd be willing to post?
Help me out!

That's the kind of headboard I was talking about, with cabinets and shelves and stuff. I thought they were what waterbeds came with but I couldn't remember. I don't think we have the room for it, but I think we could make good use of the space.
