  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

We have this bed (Hemnes) from Ikea, but not in this dark colour - ours is a lighter medium brown wood. Our mattrass is a lot thicker than the one on this picture, so the footboard doesn't stick out much (it's hardly higher than the mattrass). Our cats love/loved to sleep on it. It's their bed as much as it is ours. Nothing made me happier than to have my husband and our two cats in bed with me. We spent many a Saturday entirely in bed.

Oh wow. That sounds like a dream. I would love it, I'd feel like I was living in Lothlorien. Do you have a picture of it? It sounds amazing!

Y'know we never photographed it. Shoot, that's too bad. And it was supposed to be sort of Elvish. I have a fantasy about a Rivendel-inspired theme bedroom someday. (Sans the creepy person on the headboard)

We've just got the metal bedframe and mattresses, too. I've been wanting a real "grown-up" bed for a long time. But I've got it in my head that I want Amish furniture for our bedroom, because it's incredibly well made, but it's also really expensive. So we have to save up for the bed, and there have been other priorities in the meantime.

I would love to have some simple Mission-style furniture in a dark cherry finish - something like this:

(I like the bottom one the best, because of the low footboard.)
