• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I dont have a chronic pain but I do live in pain that has been there for a long time and no one knows if it will ever disapeer.

I'm 18 and I live in constant knee pain and sometimes back pain to. This is ruining my life, I can't do as much as I want to, and some nights I cant sleep because of the pain. The worse bit is because one leg is weaker the other leg get sore too, then I have a tail bone injury from falling off a bunk bed that will take years to heal. This is ruining my life. My doctor wont give me perscription pain pills because of my past so I am stuck with over the counter stuff which only eases the pain slightly. As I am typing this I am in pain.

Sorry just needed to vent, because I am young and most people dont understand what being in constant pain is like.

Hey there, sorry to hear you are in pain. I am 19 and i know a little something about what its like to be in severe pain as well. I just posted a huge post about my story and words of encouragement for others in pain in the "angry, angry, angry" thread in this same group of Chronic Pain. Go check it out i think it will help you.

I'll be praying for you

i can understand where you're coming from  i was 17 when i started getting painful symptoms of fibromyalgia and it was so frustrating to be at that point in my life where i'm supposed to be finding my way in the world but instead was sitting in doctors waiting rooms and lying in bed because i didn't want to move.

will be praying for the both of you
