Of course there were good reasons to suspect natural / wet market origins. They didnt just make all that up.

What I objected to was how strongly they dismissed the competing hypothesis, even if at the time it looked a bit weaker.

I was saying it about lab leak as soon as I was aware of 2 possible origins. Dismissing the lab leak out of hand seemed political and frankly idiotic.

Re Joe, probably not. He did fine in debates and similar settings during the 2020 run. I really resented him breaking his 1 term promise later on tho. What a fiasco.

You were one of the extremely few liberals who were at least open to the possibility of a Wuhan lab leak when "the science was settled" about contaminated bats in the wet market.
