lol, I had just the reverse happen, I was told that I look alot younger than my 41 years, this was after I was IDed when I bought some cigarettes, lol. But the truth to be told, I sure do not feel my age, I feel older . guess that is because I have been ill for so long, everything seems to take more effort and energy. But that is too be expected, lol

well i don't know about this getting old part where you are suppose to fall apart. But just had the physical thing and Dr. came in and start to ask me a bunch of questions about my diet, what I did for work and what physical actities I did. Finally said that I was in better shape then the teenager down the hall....

I never thought I would REALLY get old but......
My cholesterol is up and so is my weight so I have to eat like an old person!
I was also at the doctor recently and they are starting to talk mamagrams!! UUUGGGGHHHHH!!!!!

Ugh yes, but very important!! Women of a certain age should be having them at least every few years. If there's a family history of breast cancer, every year if possible. It's best to be vigilant!

Yes, especially when they say it in that really nasally way....."meeeeyemmmm".

I sort of like being forty (one).....by the time I hit forty, I was finally feeling like I knew who I was and where I fit. That was a good feeling.

And it's also fun to say "I'm too old for this!" when something aggravating comes up.....it always makes my daughter roll her eyes: "Mom. You're not old."

I'm 39, but im often mistaken as 25 years or so. When i was in my early 30s, i could get away being high school student. It could be flattering but along the way it gets tiring. People do not take me seriously with my works and my credentials.

My friend (same age) she was mistaken to be my older sister and even my aunt.... she always reminded me to be grateful coz i look younger than they are. I am, I am....

Looking younger than my age have its ups and down. I normally get courted by men too young for my age. Nothing wrong with that. But i prefer older/ more mature men.hence, i never find my soulmate

the up side is, i still get away with things, sometimes people are forgiving and more understanding when i make silly remarks or mistakes

Getting older is no more free rides where your body is concerned, yup, the day of grace has run out!--can't get away with not exercising, or with eating pizza at midnight, or with sleeping on a futon, or with not using moisturizer.......yup, it's high maintenance from now on ;-) ha ha

Exercise? Oh yeah, that message is coming through loud and clear. On her birthday, my 50-year-old co-worker said in no uncertain terms that what she's learn is we need to take care of our health. We can't take it for granted anymore. (I like how you put it, Ivy: no more free rides!)

I seriously should be exercising every day.
