You know its summer when...

* The swimming pool feels too warm to actually cool you down
* You have cold showers
* Its still hot outside at midnight
* You dont feel like doing anything
* You get headaches from dehydration and heat
* It's still light after 8pm
* It's Christmas
* You can hear the cicadas singing
* There are total fire bans

Cricket is sooooooooooo much more exciting than sailing though (Plus my family are friends with the family of our latest Test debutant, so we'll have an even more keen interest! )

yeah... but i keep a lookout for yachts sailing close enough to the shoreline on the way back home to be seen on the horizon... i'm never home on boxing day and have no access to a tv on a camping spot on the beach
