My husband comes from a long line of meat and potato eating, people...complete with the heart disease, stroke and all the other ailments that come along with living that type of lifestyle. He's on heart medication now. So, beef is officially off the table.

Not really a health nut, no. I try to eat healthy, and I know a lot about nutrition because of my Mom. But, I wouldn't say I was fanatical about it or anything.

Do you have a talent?

Oh, my. It is alarming. It makes me wonder where everything is going. Only God keeps me from panicking. He is our Jehovah-Jireh, our Provider, among many other sources of life, hope, and forgiveness.

Gas....milk....food....all items that God knows we need.

Have you seen a rainbow recently?

I have not seen a rainbow recently. And I identify with your mention of "panicking" at high prices. I've been praying, but God has not been keeping me from it. It doesn't seem that God is listening to me anymore. And that has me a little worried as well.

Is everyone in your household, at home at present?

Interesting. My first husband was an alcoholic. (lead to the ultimate demise of our union) and my husband now, is a workaholic. (looks like you got a two-fer)

Ha!!! :D Not really. They bicker a lot! (but I have hope that when they're grown up, they'll be good friends.)

Do you believe that "time heals all wounds"?

People always do what they know. It takes a lot of effort, tenacity, faith, etc. to replace a bad habit with a good one and do it long enough for it to stick.

But, being someone who's done it. I can tell you, it can be done. It's not impossible. Although it can feel that way sometimes.

Have you cleared away all the toxic relationships you have in your life?

I have however I am in the midst of a new relationship and I do NOT want to make any more bad choices. Your answer was encouraging by the way :)

Are you one of those people others come to for advice?

I'm glad it encouraged you. I know first hand that it's hard to have faith that you can do something, when it seems like nobody else believes you can. (the people in my life are so vocal, when I chose to change my circumstances, I basically had to say "I'll die before I'll stay in this situation, and if I have to do it alone, I will". It was a very hard time for me. Not being supported by my family. But, it was necessary for my own well being.)

Um, I am. I don't know why. I really don't try to give advise to people unless they ask me. I'm not one of those "preach at you" types who thinks they know it all. But, I guess because I share so many of my own experiences, they just feel that I might be able to help because they can relate? I think I'm basically more of an empath than a micromanager though. Encouraging others to do what they were already thinking they should. Instead of telling them what I think they should do. Kind of like when you take a girl friend to help you pick out a dress. If she hates the dress, she's not going to buy it because you tell her too. She'll only buy it if she thinks it looks good and just wants a second opinion to make her own more concrete.

Sorry if I talked too much. I realize longer posts are a pain to wade through.

Do people usually react to you with kindness?

Yes they do and some even continue after they get to know me, lol!

You did not talk too much. Your words: Encouraging others to do what they were already thinking they should. hit the mark with me :) Sometimes I give great advice but cannot take it for myself.

Do you set up little rewards for yourself when you accomplish a task that was not easy?

Well, I'm glad.

I do. But, rewards are not what gets me through them. I wish they were. It would be much easier. But, I am the type of person who has to really want to do something, to get it done. If I don't, no amount of incentive will move me to do it. (and I hate that about myself.)

Have you ever had a job that you hated so much, You could barely get yourself there on time?
