i got 52% dixie, which is strange since i'm pretty yankee through and through. i grew up as a proper bostonian, so it doesn't get more yankee than that, i would think....hehe.

That's odd, seeing as how I'm Canadian. I would have thought that my speech would be more similar to the northern USA than the southern USA.

It says I'm southern, I guess Indiana is the northern most southern state (a friend of mine always pointed out that we were only 1 vote away from seceding in the civil war, we have a rather unfortunate past the the klan also).

I deny it, I'm a solid yankee and refuse to be insulted otherwise. My family moved from North Carolina (a county with the family name) before the civil war, we sold our slaves and moved north. Strong quaker background in our family.

No intention to insult southerners, I have a friend with a strong southern accent. I give her a hard time all the time, but really do appreciate her. But I'm proud to be a northerner, not sure I'm proud to be a hoosier.
