its about Biological warfare i read a big thing about it lol

and RE4 isent about zombies etc
its about saving the presidents daughter

RE= Resident Evil

and give us a little more detail on the plot of the biological warefare part of it and saving the presidents daughter. Who are you saving the daughter from?
What is the main point of the game? Why would'nt they have named the game PResident Evil 4.

If you remember Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil 2, you know that he was a rookie police officer for Raccoon City’s police department. It didn’t take long to discover that the city wasn’t what he expected, but was far worse, and far more terrifying than anything he’s ever encountered. Leon escaped with his life, along with Claire Redfield, sister to S.T.A.R.S. member Chris Redfield.

Now fast forward to 2004: six years after the events in Resident Evil 2. Raccoon City has been vaporized into zombie-flavored milkshake, and Leon is long gone from the past events that haunted him. He’s still working to serve and protect however; he’s hired to protect the daughter of the president. But, just like in RE2, Leon never gets a chance to start his job for everything around him goes terribly awry. The president’s daughter is kidnapped, and as Leon attempts to track her down, he’s lead to a rundown South American village.
This is where things start to take a turn for the bizarre. When Leon arrives at this decrepit old village, he finds that he’s not welcomed with open arms, occupants are immediately out to get him, showing no hesitancy in killing him outright. This forces Leon to fight back and go into hiding; in totally unfamiliar territory.
Now, you might be wondering when the Umbrella Corporation comes in. That’s just it: it doesn’t. In what is perhaps the most surprising move of the Resident Evil 4 project, Mikami and company are retreating from the Umbrella Corp. storyline to concentrate on something fresh, thereby abandoning everything series fans know of the Resident Evilmythos.

I'm not reading this whole debate, but I will add my comments. In my house we have 3 Xboxs, 1 PS2 and 1 GameCube. After owning all 3 systems for 2 years now, I can honestly say I like the Xbox better. For the GC I love Metroid Prime, Eternal Darkness and of course Zelda. For the PS2 I love Kingdom Hearts, FFX, Soccom, and Gran Turismo. For the PC I love Battlefield 1942 (Desert Combat), Warcraft 3, and Neverwinter Nights. And for the Xbox I love Ghost Recon Island Thunder, Rainbow Six 3, Project Gotham Racing 2, Ninja Gaiden, Star Wars KOTOR, and of course the new Splinter Cell looks awesome. The reason I choose the Xbox over the rest is because of the graphics, the true digital 5.1, the hard drive and Xbox Live. I can get on and know which friends are online, what games they are playing, and choose to join or invite them to a game. In some games like PGR2 I can listen to my music from the hard drive. We can play games system link, instead of split screen, and my wife or kids and I can play online with other friends and family at the same time. And talk to each other while playing. After 2 years here is how it is; in the living room hooked up to the digital 5.1 surround sound is the Xbox on Xbox Live. In our bedroom is another Xbox also on XBL. In the oldest child’s bedroom is an Xbox and in the twins bedroom (3 year olds) is the PS2, used as a DVD player and the GameCube for Mario cart and the sponge bob game. I think if you only support only one console or one type of game, you’re not a true gamer; you’re just a small-minded fanboy. Grow up and enjoy the best of all systems including the GameBoy and PC games. What is so wrong with enjoying something different?

I believe in credit where credit is due. When I looked at those re4 screens I suddently thought of 101 ways in which they could be from a trailer, pre-rendered footage, or even pre-rendered backgrounds with moving polygon overlays (which is how previouse RE titles were done hence the 1 camera angle in most rooms).
So I did some searching on the web and the fact is RE4 will be totaly 100% real time. No prerendering even in the background (I dont know about cut scenes).

Given that knowlegde and seeing those shots, it really is a stunning game and an excellent show peice for the GC imho.

That said, Newsboys attitiude is the problem here, not his facts, as I have tried to say over and over again.

Dude, say things nice and you may get on with people better.

Exactly, the Gamecube is a descent console, hey its Nintendo, anybody that grew up with the NES and SNES is going to have loyalty to their systems in some way or another.

We are all fanboys in a sense are we not? Back in the day when I was playing the original Mario on the NES around when you where 1 or 2 years old that is all that was around, unless you had a atari or intellivision.

not really, a fan boy is somone who is basicly saying that "there" consol is the best.

its ok to have a favorite, but when you kinda...make stuff up. thats when the line is drawn. "the xbox has more power, but they dont use it." stuff like that.

putting down one consol, and bringing up another. a person who does that alot, is a fanboy.

attidude has ALOT to do with it. and you can only really be a fanboy, if there is more than one consol.

I am sure you must know atleast one fanboy, the guy who hates a certin consol, and says stuff like "all the games are kiddy and dumb" or, "It only has halo". stuff like that. makes a fanboy.

Ok thanks for the clarification. I thought that was a hit on the older players because that is what we grew up with 1 console and it was Nintendo thats all, it took another 4 years after Nintendo was first released for the competition.
