School is stressful.
What's with the whole reviving old threads thing?
Alizera, school can definitely be stressful! What courses are you taking? I took an online accounting class this year and it was hard. I have found out that accounting isn't a class that I should have taken online.

What's with the whole reviving old threads thing?
Wish I knew.. I don't like thread necromancy because I feel "awkward" about posting in threads so old. Where the people who posted might not even be members anymore, or maybe their opinions have changed, and what not.
It's like conversing with ghosts. Weirds me out.. so now I have a bunch of threads I really don't wanna reply to, but they're all on the main page![]()
Ha, I had a friend that took public speaking online. I found that really funny. I'm in pharmacy school right now...so...large course load, haha.
Do you think all those Christians who try to shoehorn God into the gaps of human knowledge realize how uncomfortable it is for him?
Wow, Alizera, you do have a lot on your plate. It must be really tough being a pharmacy student.
Did your friend do well with the public speaking course? It does sound like a weird course to take online.
Michelle
I think he did well. Apparently you had to video tape yourself then submit it online. I guess that would work...but you can't really over the whole stage fright thing with that.
On the other hand, I had an awesome weekend!
I'm not comfortable about getting up in front of people either.
What was the name of the documentary?
I've seen it a few times, but right now I can't remember the exact name. I saw it while I was flipping through the channels yesterday. It was on Free Speech TV.
It had a lot of former pharmaceutical reps talking about what they used to do and why they left the profession. It also talked about how advertising has influenced people's perception of new drugs. Patients are now coming in and demanding the new drugs, which tend to be more expensive than older, more established drugs.
There was a doctor on there who, before he closed his practice, said that he had a difficult time convincing his patients that older, more established drugs were actually better for them than the newer drugs that were advertised on TV. He is now a doctor involved in research.
When I get time tonight, I'll look up the name for you. Sometimes this documentary is also shown on LinkTV.
Michelle
I really wish prescription drugs were not advertised on TV. Patients that demand medications are really frustrating.
I still remember a friend of mine's mother having a female patient ask her for Viagra for her sore knee. At the time, Viagra's slogan was "Let the dance begin," so that must have been where the confusion arose.
