• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Went to the most beautiful wedding ever.....and saw two of the most beautiful human beings I've ever known get married. It was outdoors at a historic mill.(Dillard Mill is Missouri) This spring they planted a huge garden at the wedding site so it would be in bloom for the wedding. They planted a bush during the ceremony. We threw wildflower seeds at them in hopes they will bloom next year. lots of vegetarian food...vegan cake(delicious) and Van Morrison at the reception. A friend of theirs sheared her alpacas and spun wool which another friend dyed with natural dyes and another friend wove it and they did a handfasting ceremony. The pastor was a long time family friend. It was a beautiful day...beautiful surroundings and a beautiful event. My cousin is a wonderful soul and she married the perfect man for her. It renewed my faith in romantic love. I went with my oldest daughter and my mother....three generations...and it was just a wonderful weekend.

I've had a busy run lately. I have a cocktail party Wednesday, I volunteer Saturday morning at the clinic and then Saturday night at a gala for NARAL and after that....no major commitments for a while. I'm trying to plan a weekend getaway for myself. A few bottles of wine, a few books, some yarn and needles, my Ray Lamontagne cd's and mother nature....so I'm thinking a tent but maybe a small cabin. oh...and my dog....she doesn't talk much so she can come.

I'm a pretty social creature but right now I feel like if I don't get some solitude...I'm going to come out of my skin. feel me?

I would never go into a Conservative forum either, but I think that maybe some people just think that what they believe is so true and important, that they should convince all of those who must just be confused or misguided. I find it kind of annoying and it's one of the reasons that I don't post that much in this forum. I have the Singles forum if I want to argue with people :D
I like reading the singles forum and would like to interact more but I kind of feel like a loose cog.
I'm married but seperated and don't feel comfortable in the seperated part of the marriage forums but I also feel as though the singles forums are for those primarily unmarried singles so I don't feel I fit in either.

Ho-Hum :)

Why isn't there a section for women on this forum? I see a men's only....but none for women. I really don't think Dean or Davin want to hear about yeast infection treatments, which bras are worth their weight in gold or skin care products. (btw...neutrogena makes a face wash that's anti-wrinkle AND anti-blemish.....it's just wrong that you would have to deal with both at the same time!)

Here's the lady's area.

It's a ways down from the men's area, so tougher to spot.

And yes, Dean doesn't need to to hear too much about skin-care and such, lol.

Davin will not be an issue, as he is "on vacation" from CF 'til around Christmas.

I know where he's been posting, but I'm not really supposed to link it here. PM me if you'd like to know.

I really miss him here.

Women's forum: http://www.christianforums.com/f47/

If you are unable to see the Women's Area (or even if you click that link, if you can't see any posts in it), please contact a moderator. Your gender may be set incorrectly in the system's hardcode (not in the software -- your settings / options, but in an area you can't access. Someone higher up will have to fix it for you)

I used to be a moderator, we used to deal with this a lot, it's a fairly common problem. Contact any moderator, they should be able to help you, but the moderator list for the Women's Forum is as follows:

.gaga. , Nilla , HisStar247 , newbeliever02072005 , flnativegrl , Robinsegg , twob4me , dluvs2trvl

Hope that helps.

Happy (Canadian) Thanksgiving <3

A belated Happy Thanksgiving to the Canadians on this board!

The only thought I have right now is "Would Jesus Wear a Rolex?". I've had that song stuck in my head for a few days now, after viewing a YouTube video of it.

I'm in a p1$$y mood because of the direction that the whole health care issue is going (specifically the "progress" that it made today). I find the prospect of mandating health care to be repulsive (but I guess that is what we are going to do). Ugh the whole thing is such a mess...

Back from the dentist. Guess what?! That pain near my molar ISN'T some awful cavity that needs a root canal :D Instead, I"m probably grinding my teeth when I sleep >< .... in other news, I only have 7 to 10 cavities, all minor :p Hey, I haven't been to the dentist in 6 or 7 -years- ... I consider myself lucky.
