Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.
Oh, not "CF" anymore. We have enough problems with "CF" as a whole already.
Cool, I didn't read their rules, I guess the thread just confused me then! LOLThe site-wide rules are that fellowship posts can be made anywhere by anybody. If the WWMC has a rule that you must be an official member there just to post, that rule violates the site rules. They can stop non-members from debating, and they can stop non-members from participating in forum government, but they can NOT stop anyone from fellowship posting. Now, I've read their Wiki, and I don't see such a rule in there.
Oh, not "CF" anymore.
Just "F". (now there's an interesting irony, kinda symbolic, don't you think?)
Cool, I didn't read their rules, I guess the thread just confused me then! LOL
I don't understand what the problem is though. It reminds me of all the illegal immigration protests where people wanted voting rights without being here legally, or as citizens! LOL
I wouldn't even waste my time with WWMC...
jameseb! Man I haven't seen you in a long time either!
tulc(who can honestly say he never been in ths forum before today)
Some do.
So make your voting open, without a membership roll.
So if you're a full member of CC, from our POV, it means you agree with our tenets, and if you're a member of WWMC you must agree with theirs (pro-gay marriage, allowance of pro-choice positions, ambivalent about scriptural authenticity/inspiration, etc etc).
I've spoken to Joykins and she readily admits WWMC benefits from this as it keeps some of the more vocal CC members from joining the WWMC membership and being pesky. If I'm misrepresented her position, she can easily come here and disabuse me of my notions.
None of that is in our wiki, there is no standard of belief to which you need to describe to post freely in WWMC. There is nothing in our wiki about gay marriage, abortion, or scriptural inerrancy--that stuff is actually in your wiki, not ours.
We affirm with the apostle Paul that in Christ "there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female" (Galatians 3:28). Christ has made us one. We acknowledge that this extends to people of all sexual orientations and gender identities.Because gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered persons and their families are often scorned by society and alienated from the Church, we wish to make known our caring and concern. It is for this purpose that we affirm the following:Debates on the morality of homosexuality are not on-topic in WWMC.
- that people of all sexual orientations and gender identities share the worth that comes from being unique individuals created by God;
- that people of all sexual orientations and gender identities are welcome within the membership of this congregation.
Therefore, as in Cor 13:12, we are certain of a few things, among them seeing "through a glass darkly." There must not be dogmatic statements of faith. There must not be those that state or infer "to have a monopoly on the truth." The search for truth must be ongoing and shared rather that dictated. For heaven is the "whole of our hearts," and this quest must be shared.
See our beliefs on these subjects do indeed differ completely because you are not acknowledging the inerrancy of Scripture.
You are not acknowledging that there are certain truths that we have been given since the time of Christ.
Yes but the liberal forum picks and chooses which Scriptures to follow and which to disregard. And add to that the aspect that every liberal member can have a completely different set of "true" Bible verses and "false" ones. And every different, contradicting view is "correct"....like the scriptures you posted that are in our wiki?
tulc(those seem...biblical)

...and all conservatives believe everything exactly the same as every other conservative? And add to that the aspect that every liberal member can have a completely different set of "true" Bible verses and "false" ones. And every different, contradicting view is "correct".
...and conservatives don't do that?
...and all conservatives believe everything exactly the same as every other conservative?
tulc(is somewhat doubtful of that)
Your response proves the point that we are trying to make. The interpretations of scripture between liberals and conservative are very different. Arguing who's right or wrong is exactly why we don't want the liberal mindset in CC. The Conservative forum is for people that have a conservative interpretation of scripture as described in our rules.
I don't understand the eagerness of liberals wanting to debate with conservatives in the conservative forum. We welcome everyone for fellowship but do not want debates with non-conservatives.
Hope this helps my friend.
This is from your Wiki

This says nothing about abortion or gay marriage or scriptural inerrancy.

We are acknowledging that our knowledge and grasp of the truth is limited enough to approach the subject with humility.
Nevertheless, one may fully participate as a member in the forum without signing onto *believing* this, as long as one is willing to post respectfully. There are conservative members in WWMC after all.
