Society has taught you to believe in flawed human reason and rationality and what "makes sense" to you. From what you are saying, because you don't understand God He should fit the mold of what your mind makes up instead of being as He defined Himself and you humbling yourself and following Him by faith.

"You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God." (Matthew 22:29)

You don't know who God is, what salvation is, & that no one is good apart from God ("There is no one righteous, not even one" - Romans 3:10).

Why do I advocate that sort of thinking? The thinking that Jesus is the only way to know God?
Because it is the truth! Not my interpretation. It is the perfect word of God from the perfect Holy God

John 14:6 "Jesus said to Him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'"

John 17:3 Jesus says, "And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent."

Peter speaking about Jesus "There is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:12

What exactly is so flawed about reason? Lack of reason is what brought about the Dark Ages. You cant deny that. I hate to beat the dead horse, but there it is.

And because it does not make sense to me, you must admit that it does not even make sense to you, because you do not posses mental abilities that I do not.

Claiming faith and then claiming that you know the perfect universal truth is not humble. It is the very opposite, and comes across as ego-maniacal.

I was asking why you advocate that way of thinking when it even got Jesus killed, as you said.

"The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person's thoughts except that person's own spirit within? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit." -1 Corinthians 2:10-15

That really did not answer a single question I asked, nor did it address any of the points I made. Answer me with your own words, so then you will be more capable of answering what I actually said.
