Of course. Jesus is God Incarnate, not simply a "perfect person". She is the God Bearer, not God.If Mary was perfect, would Jesus needed to have come?
The purpose of His sacrifice was to destroy death, which only God, as man, could do.Yet it was Jesus who was the only one to completely follow the will of the Father, or He would have served no purpose for His sacrifice.

Well, the very title of this thread is "Did Jesus Pray to Mary?" I assume from that that the person who asked the question thought there was at least a possibility that the answer might be "Yes". I am pleased to say that as far as I have noticed, nobody has in fact replied "Yes".Who has suggested that?

If you say that Scripture itself doesn't teach that Scripture contains all that is necessary, that strongly implies that you believe you must add to what is in the Scriptures to obtain all that is necessary. So I don't think that is irrelevant.Irrelevant
The question doesn't make much sense. There's no indication that Jesus and Mary spent too much time apart, so he probably just simply talked to his mom.Well, the very title of this thread is "Did Jesus Pray to Mary?" Buddha wasn't a Demon Spirit. He was just this one dude.
to regard or treat with reverence; revereI think we would need to agree on the definition of venerate first. Then I could give a considered answer.
I asked you why earlier. You never answered.Venerating Buddha or any pagan entity would be a violation of the first commandment. Ugh

Based on past conversations I've had with those who venerate Mary, it's not easy to pin down. A more precise offcial description is probably found in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. But there are also writings by clergy over the centuries venerating Mary that take it quite far. Icons and illustrations as well. Then we have to carefully define what we are talking about.
I'm not implying anything. I am following what Jesus taught. Jesus taught that we should listen to the Church. You are the one adding to Scripture if you say that "Scripture contains all that is necessary". The Bible doesn't claim that, you do.If you say that Scripture itself doesn't teach that Scripture contains all that is necessary, that strongly implies that you believe you must add to what is in the Scriptures to obtain all that is necessary. So I don't think that is irrelevant.
Where did Jesus say that the church was to teach things that are not in the bible? I just don't see how you can say that "the church" can add to what is in the bible, and yet then say that I am the one adding to Scripture.I'm not implying anything. I am following what Jesus taught.
