Just popped in to say that I gotta shoot for a couple of weeks while I finish my exam marking, but I will be praying for you all!

A tip for those who aren't aware - when CF is down like it was yesterday, you can usually get on by using www1.christian.....
Something to do with the servers - don't understand the techy stuff, but it seems to work!!

Sorry I haven’t been on in a while guys. I took a sudden trip to MI over the weekend and didn’t get the chance to tell you all. I would have been on yesterday, but I kind of got busy and forgot. Anyways, yeah I’m back now. I hope all is going well for you all. I’ve been praying for you all (not as much as I should have, but some).
Here’s my update: I have been straying from the Lord quite a lot these past few days, and I feel terrible. I hate being distant from Him, but I keep on running away from Him. Please pray for me. I really need your prayers. I want to be close to Him again. God bless you all.
I would catch up with you all right now, but my sis wants to use the phone and my comp is being really slow. So, I guess I’ll just have to do it tomorrow.

Am having a bit of a rough day - keep hearing from friends who are struggling one way or another!
Sometimes I don't understand why God lets his children get so unhappy.
Sorry - I know He's working in it all . It's just hard seeing people you love hurting.

Hello everyone! Tummy bug completely gone. Yippee! Younger DS a bit under the weather but hoping he'll be better tomorrow.

Criada - sorry to hear your friends are having a rough time. I pray things will get better for them and that you will be guided in how best to support them in the meantime.

God never promised that things would be easy, just that he would be there for us when things got tough. But it's a hard teaching, I think. Esp. when, in the words of Philip Yancey, when the going gets tough it can feel as though we are reaching for an invisible God.

<<Brrr>> shakes self out of serious mode.

Gotta go take out the garbage and do the bright colours wash! That always cheers things up!

BTW We're trying to sell our house and we have our first potential buyers coming tomorrow. Any spare prayers greatly appreciated! (never used that prayer smilie before)

Yeah, I feel like that sometimes.

I'll pray for God's will to be done with the selling of your house. Do you have another one to move into already?

But keep in mind God is in control. Here's a quick story for you. When we decided to move, we put a deposit on a lot we wanted. We were told, after all was pretty much said and done, we then had 30 days to get our house on the market even though our home would not be built for another 9-12 months.

We did as we were obligated to-- decluttered, storage units, painted just a few rooms, got brand new rugs and some linens for the "showings" (two young children and a puppy-- it was a NIGHTMARE). Our home didn't sell month after month after month.

Fast forward a ton of months, we pulled our home off the market and painted the whole thing and did some very minor cosmetic changes, etc. We put our home back on the market ~20K higher (the market had skyrocketed during that time). Within a week we had a buyer at full asking price.

Even though it didn't sell when we "wanted" it to sell, toss in dh's panic as our new home was being built... God totally amazed us in the end! So, don't panic, fret or drive yourself batty-- He will work it out-- just on His timeline, not ours.

Yes He will! God is great, and He cares about us. He will do whatever will turn out the best in the long run. We look at the short-term side of things. But God looks at the long term. Isn't it great to know that God is always there making sure everything turns out alright?

I've had a lot going on in my life, good and bad, and it's all kept me from posting online. I just wanted to say that I am doing well in most areas, living like Jesus, struggling in some typical areas for me, and going through a tough personal time (my gramma just passed away... she was my spiritual encourager growing up). Please pray for me, for strength, for comfort, for renewed joy, and for healing (have had a nasty bug for the last 2 weeks or so...)

Anyways, I really wish I had more time to hang out and talk with y'all, but I really have to get back to work.

Friar Erasmus! I've been praying for you often. I've really missed you. I don't really know you that well, but I missed you being here. God bless you brother. I'll be praying for you.

Ohhh nooooo schools out, now I get to deal with all the little monsters (err ummm children) here at the library all day.
In my defense, there are some good ones that come in, and then there are those that are considered monsters.
