• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Yes!

A lot of it just epics and what not. But I also listen to a variety like:
Nightwish
Within Temptation
The Protomen
Breaking Benjamin
Black Veil Brides
Five Finger Death Punch
Flyleaf
Green Day
Hollywood Undead
Maria Mena
Sixx am
Tori Amos
Krypteria
Eowyn
Slipknot
Nox Arcana
Seether
and shockingly, Disney

plus many more.

The first few are my biggest inspirations, and in fact, there's a lot of the same themes due to that and even prior to listening to those bands.

Not really, no. I do sometimes, but that's so rare that it doesn't even count. However, I've recently listened to "Future/Past" by John Mark McMillian, a Christian artist, while writing a few poems. But I most often like to be in a total silence. Then my thoughts are clear and I can really get into what I'm doing. :)

I really like Green Day and and some of the others you have listed. I like a lot of Christian pop, but I also am a fan of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. :)

I haven't listened to Green Day in forever.

Post-punk works for me sometimes; The Strokes, White Stripes, Metric.

You said you like to listen to Hans Zimmer's Dark Knight themes?

You might like Two Steps From Hell, Audiomachine and things like those. They don't have lyrics, just pure music, as well as music from the Assassin's Creed series! Honestly, it makes writing and going on walks feel like they're adventures.
