  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So, I have always been a person who feels deep emotions (I guess I am just sensitive) and gets nightmares easily if I watch anything like horror movies or listen to scary songs or observe too many Halloween decorations. You know, stuff I know God wouldn't be pleased with.

So Michael W. Smith wrote a song years ago. Its this:

It's called All Your Missing Is a Heartache and the song to me sounds kind of creepy. The tune of it does. The instruments he chose to use. :sigh: I don't listen to it very often since creepy-sounding songs are not really my cup of tea. I don't want to feel, you know, weirded out or something.

I wonder what possessed him to write it though? His other works are so beautiful, I listen to them and it touches my soul! But why did he write music like this? I think that is totally unlike him! Good thing it is only 1 song out of a gazillion he wrote, so there's that.
