The Catholic Church says that "we must acknowledge that the books of Scripture firmly, faithfully, and without error teach that truth which God, for the sake of our salvation, wished to see confided to the Sacred Scriptures."
And scripture "makes present and fruitful in the Church the divine mystery of Christ"
"All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that everyone who belongs to God may be proficient, equipped for every good work. writes St. Paul to Timothy, though of course by Scripture he was referring to the Old Testament.
Minor copying errors, or revision of nuances of translation do not change the truths of what Scriptures teaches regarding our salvation, or the divine mystery of Christ or our training in righteousness.
