The Bible says the power of life and death are in the tongue.. and here you all are talking about the people that God has blessed to go forth with this particular ministry by saying they suck, their voice is bad, and so on.

Amy Grant left her husband and NEVER REPENTED - she actually believes she did nothing wrong. Anytime I hear her singing any Christian song, it makes me gag.

So that no one misunderstands me, it is not the fact that she sinned that makes me gag (we have all fallen short of the glory). It is the fact that she is so brazen about not thinking she did anything wrong.

There's something wrong if a Christian isn't convicted of her sin.

I think The Darkness suck as well. They're not a Christian band, but they're just a rehash of an old 70's band which featured twin brothers.

As for Christian bands that suck, I didn't think that there'd be any on here that members would diss. I like some of the Newsboys material, and DC Talk aren't too bad either. Plus I like Creed, Lifehouse, POD, and Audio Adrenaline's stuff.

There'd be one band that I'd vent my spleen on in here and that'd be Black Cauldron, a self-proclaimed Christian 'Shock Rock' band. I don't think that they'd shock or scare the pants of my dead grandma.

What is with Christian bands suddenly capitalising on music that they called Satanic 25 years ago?

I feel in some way what they are doing is selling those genres out. Metal, punk, and rap are meant to be about being tough, anarchic, selling cocaine and getting da chix 2 have sex with you so day can be part of ur posse. The true spirit of that music is being anti-establishment and with a healthy (or unhealthy) disrespect for authority of any sort.

Okay, I'll rephrase...

She never made it public that she felt she had done anything wrong. Since she had originally made it so public that she felt it was not a sin to do what she did, it looks like if she'd had a change of heart, she would've made that public, also, so that fans and non-fans alike would know she was convicted of her sin.

By the way, the last time I saw her on an interview was 18 months to 2 years ago, and at that time, I was gagging because she was still so much in denial.

In fact, I found a quote from that very interview (Oct. 3, 2002):

Grant and Gill say they believe in fate — though they acknowledge there can be detours. "I got lost on this road and I just took what I thought was an arbitrary turn and I found the place that I belonged," said Grant. "I mean, that's the really beautiful part of life."

You know, I realize after I wrote that, that I am not the judge, God is. I shouldn't judge, because I am not without sin. So for my judgment of Amy as a person, I apologize.

However, it does concern me that Amy Grant whitewashes the whole thing, and refuses to face the fact that it is sin.

The Darkness rock and you are obviously not into hardcore music so you wouldn't know what they are saying.

Superchick becuzzzz they cant really play that well, there songs r anoyying, and theres like 20 people in there " band" ( ok maybe NOT 20 but theres alot lol) and i just dont like there style of music. But hey if you like it whatever floats your boat
